## Newest reviews (13 of 45)

### 3/5 — Not being maintained

*2025-03-22, version v7.0.1*

For instance, it said my views are closely aligned with retired Sen. Joe Manchin (I-WV)

### 4/5 — Has updated local elections

*2024-10-10, version v6.4.0*

Found the app actually helpful. Of course I won’t know how “on point” it is until I go in and actually vote. So far the best voting assistance app I’ve seen.

### 4/5 — (Updated) 4 Questions is NOT enough

*2024-05-17*

-Updated-
The developers have worked hard to further develop this app! Specifically in the amount of questions available for placement. Good job in the work you have put in. In the initial test, there will be a very few questions; however, once taken, you can taken many more tests on different topics that will further contribute to your placement. I still think the initial test is a little short (this may be more preferential, I would go for 10 questions for the initial test in this format). I have not seen this test be as one sided as many are saying, I think many reviewers simply don’t understand why certain policies lean one way or another. Perhaps, a future review tool may be necessary that details test responses, so people can see where they land on specific issues (not only their placement). Sorry to the devs if this is already an option, and I have merely missed it.

-Previous-
You are not going to properly place anybody with a weak 4 question political placement test. Need to add many more questions for this to be sincere. A good idea, however, for an app. Will consider revising my review if this is fixed.

### 3/5 — Good app, but why not use the traditional political compass?

*2023-05-21*

Gen Z here: this app is so bloated. I just wanted to know my political compass after looking at some related memes. Make the intro shorter and quicker, it’s long in length. Animations could be quicker. My generation is too ADHD, trust me.

Lol at the guy that said this is left leaning. Nah dude? Not what I’ve seen so far. Democracy is only as good as long as it’s populace is informed. Its users might be left leaning but didn’t push me any which way.

### 4/5 — Good app, needs minor changes.

*2023-03-27*

Great app but I’d like to see more on local representatives and also have the ability to search all representatives not just mine. I’d like to be able to see what other representatives out of my state stand for.

### 3/5 — Unfinished app

*2022-11-08*

It’s a good start, and it was nice to see all the candidates and information on them, and to choose in advance how I will vote.

However:
• There was no way to see your finished ballot, just pictures of who you chose. That’s not helpful in the voting booth!
• There's no way to print your choices either.
• There was no way to share your choices, except one by one.
• The way to share your individual choices (virtual lawn sign) didn't work! Nothing happens when you tap the Share button.
• There were no ballot measures listed! There are important measures on the ballot in my area, but you couldn't tell it by the app!
• The questions at the last are redundant (I had to indicate four times that I was voting in person), and at the end it said that in-person voting was *tomorrow,* when in fact it's today!

**Developer response:** We've added the ability to now share your ballot and email it to yourself. We've also added ballot measures!

### 4/5 — Could be better, IF…

*2022-11-08, version 4.5.0*

The “Bills” section showed the status of each bill (passed senate, house, or signed into law).

### 2/5 — Incomplete voter quiz

*2022-11-04, version 4.5.0*

It asked five questions and tried to put me as far Right with candidates I whole heartedly disagreed with.

### 5/5 — Much appreciated

*2022-10-29, version 4.5.0*

It’s helpful in deciding who to vote for.

### 2/5 — Leans Left

*2022-10-27, version 4.5.0*

Anyone in the Middle or Right needs to know that this app appears to me to be very left-leaning on the political spectrum.

A 4 question survey is given to show politicians that best match your political philosophy. There is no way to truly gauge an individuals political leanings in just 4 questions.

I lean heavily Right (even though I’m an Independent) and Joe Biden was chosen as a politician that I closely aligned with. NOPE! 😂

I wouldn’t vote for Joe Biden if he was the only person running.

I’ve since deleted this garbage.

### 3/5 — Blind people vote too!

*2022-10-14*

I love this app’s concept, & I’ve attempted to use it several times. The problem is, all the pictures make navigating this app with Voiceover a nightmare. I either click on things accidentally, while I’m looking for info, or I can’t click on what I want. This problem is quite fixable. You just need to label graphics, or create hyperlinks for us. I want to educate myself before voting too. I just need help with the format.

### 4/5 — Great app

*2022-07-14*

Overall the app is really well made and thought out. However, I wish you had the opportunity to rank and view not just your own state’s senators and representatives but nationwide politicians.

### 4/5 — ActiVote

*2022-06-28, version 4.3.0*

This app is mostly accessible using the VoiceOver ScreenReader

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Inaccurate, Data Collection Tool

*2026-01-29*

This app decided what party I belong to on its own. The questions it asks to ‘place’ you on their matrix are either leading or do not offer enough choices. When asking about a hot-button question it may give an option that adds an opinion unrelated to the question - like the last option below.

(Not a real question, just for illustration): Do you believe children should own guns?
 - Yes
 - Yes, under adult supervision
 - No, but they should be taught gun safety
 - No, children should not be allowed to defend themselves

There is often no simple ‘yes’ or ‘no’ - they seem to put motives on answers as a way to skew results.

And there is no method to delete your personal info or data collected. All you can do is delete the app.

### 1/5 — Trapped!

*2024-11-28, version v6.4.0*

Don’t get me wrong, I do love the features and interaction. But! The spam texts I get are out of control. All day, every day. I get 10 to 15 a day. Do you sell my number? Or just release it to people?

### 1/5 — Activate

*2024-10-28, version v6.4.0*

I thought I could use this to get info on the candidates in my area. But it looks more like a polling app. Seems like they want to gather data, not provide it.

### 1/5 — Onboarding broken

*2024-08-11, version v6.3.0*

Last step in onboarding wouldn’t let me proceed, so it wasn’t usesble

### 1/5 — Ballot incorrect

*2024-06-25*

The primary ballot is completely wrong. There are positions that are not actually on the ballot, it’s missing all the positions that actually are on the ballot, and there is no way to separate democratic and republican primary ballots. I was prompted to download this app specifically because of the ballot capability so I’m frustrated. I understand there are issues with getting down ballot candidates confirmed, and the functionality probably varies by state and district, but if you can’t offer that feature don’t advertise it. Or at least know when you can’t offer a correct ballot and say you can’t do it for that district. Great concept though.

**Developer response:** Based on feedback we have built a new feature to be sure that you can filter down to the partisan ballot you wanted to see.

### 1/5 — Good idea - Poor build

*2023-03-22, version 5.0.0*

Could not change my password, log out, or even request my account to be closed. I couldn’t find anything on the app the actually worked.

### 1/5 — Extreme Left Biased

*2022-11-13*

This app is extremely Left biased.
First of all:
I'm not a Democrat.
I'm not a Republican.
I'm an American. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Our country is physically (mentally, spiritually, and ideologically) under attack and the Extreme Left is helping the enemy bring America to her knees.
Because of the way the poll questions and their available responses, this app seems to have been made to help spread division among Americans, to help spread the dislike of our Founding Fathers, our Constitution, our country, our flag, and our way of life.
I for one will be deleting this app.
I DO NOT like to be manipulated, by anyone, especially those who I have voted for to REPRESENT me, or those voted for by others to REPRESENT them. Our government gets their power from us, and OUR Constitution protects us when OUR government oversteps it's authority. OUR government is not "All Powerful" and it is not "The Law of The Land".
OUR Constitution is"The Law of The Land".
And everyone in OUR government has taken an OATH to preserve, Protect and Defend OUR Constitution.

Just fair warning about this Extreme Left Biased app.

### 1/5 — “Getting started” has a null check operator error

*2022-03-17, version 4.0.0*

Error on start

### 1/5 — Used to be useful

*2022-03-08, version 3.8.0*

This app used to be useful and easy to navigate. It is stuck in tutorial mode with pop ups that can’t be turned off unless I answer survey questions.

### 1/5 — Waste of time.

*2021-07-13, version 2.8.0*

Just an app to farm your political data to sell based on zip code or other filters.

They won’t show you information about election dates or bills until you give them info on your political views.

They aren’t here to help, they are here to farm your info for profit.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — ActiVote

*2026-05-25, version v7.4.0*

This app is mostly accessible using the VoiceOver ScreenReader

### 5/5 — Best Election App

*2026-03-16*

This app is the best app pan down to help keep you informed of current political officials even educating you about politics if you missed anything in civics class. This app will help you make informed decisions without bias information. I love that it had everything that I was looking for. I needed more than just my voting registration information I needed to know who was running what are their beliefs? Where can I find their information? This app will give you the websites to political officials that are running for Office. Everything all in one place. You’re voting Information, upcoming voting dates and even keeps up with your previous voting sessions. They give you the ballot so when you go to vote you can submit your answers straight from the app, saving you time in the voting booth. There are other features, but these are the ones that help me the most.

### 5/5 — Use ur noggin

*2026-02-10*

Don't listen to the people saying they are pushing left agendas. I went in with an open mind and answered the questions honestly. It told me I'm more aligned with the Conservative Party and that's the first time I ever heard that. When I looked into it further, they were mostly right. I feel like I'm more independent than anything but I took what they said into consideration and it makes sense. So if they were pushing an agenda, why wouldn't they just tell me I'm democrat? Don't let fools persuade you with opinions. Form your own.

### 5/5 — Love this app! One suggestion, if it's not already implemented

*2025-11-15*

My civics teacher recommended this app, and I've loved everything about it! Especially the daily civics quizzes. My only mild annoyance with the daily quizzes is that I can't see the questions I got wrong in the past. I like learning new things and when I don't know on a question, I guess, and that doesn't mean I learned anything. So, if possible, I'd like to be able to see the past quizzes!

### 5/5 — Love

*2025-03-11*

Great app could use a little more though like seeing each person vote next to each other for the people elected to represent so we can see who aligns with us more, and could also make a note option to each vote on bills to add good context that otherwise wouldnt reach the one making the apps, and can even have a system for voting yay or nay on notes that other people could share if they want to be nonconfidential and share the light however bright or dim and dark it is! Love the app though good job and this is so much easier then looking up every bill on the internet now its all logged and waiting to be read!

### 5/5 — Great.

*2025-02-20, version v6.4.0*

Nice.

### 5/5 — Actually feels non-partisan!

*2024-11-05*

This seems like an excellent way to objectively lay out the facts and allow those who may be just learning what it means to have specific views. I would have loved something like this taking government in high school. I really expected to feel some sort of conscious or unconscious “lean” in the wording of the prompts, but if there was, I certainly didn’t feel it.

Highly recommend

### 5/5 — Very thorough

*2024-09-13*

This app overshadows other apps like Causes. This app does what causes wish it could do. this app is very good, and help with civic education. It’s detailed and helps you define what your own polices are. Recommend 100%

### 5/5 — Review Bombs

*2023-09-07*

Don’t listen to the people saying they are pushing left agendas. I went in with an open mind and answered the questions honestly. It told me I’m more aligned with the Conservative Party and that’s the first time I ever heard that. When I looked into it further, they were mostly right. I feel like I’m more independent than anything but I took what they said into consideration and it makes sense. So if they were pushing an agenda, why wouldn’t they just tell me I’m democrat? Don’t let fools persuade you with opinions. Form your own. All I wish is for a open ended response for some questions but it’s hard to grade that unless it’s submitted and there’s no telling how many users this app currently has. I love it though

### 5/5 — Everyone should know about this app!

*2022-11-09, version 4.5.0*

This app has helped me become less partisan. I like that we can see what bills get introduced in congress, this allowed me to be more conscious about what congress is doing. Answering questions to gauge your political identity matrix, and comparing it to current politicians is a cool feature. I feel more comfortable about ticket splitting, when I know I share similar values with the candidates even if we’re on different parties.

Things to add ?

Option to print out lists of preferred candidates , sample ballots by zip code, etc

CBO/ economic scores on bills presented in understandable ways

Campaign Finance section ( where the money is coming from) this candidates biggest donors are …
