## What is Actor Prep?

Work the scene. Make the role your own.

Bring your script, scene partners and research into the same rehearsal process. Actor Prep helps you prepare the text, explore its context and return to the scene with room to try a different choice.

GIVE THE OTHER ROLES A VOICE
Choose your role and assign voices to the other characters. Rehearse with Apple's device voices for free, or use premium AI voice generation to create your scene partners' audio. Select the scene you want to work on and put your attention on the exchange.

BUILD ON EVERY REHEARSAL
Return to the premium partner audio you've already created. Saved recordings replay free on your device, even offline, without using more generation credits. Keep the same words and voice settings to reuse the recording while you explore your own delivery. New words or different voice settings may need new audio and use your allowance or credits.

GET THE SCRIPT RIGHT BEFORE YOU START
Import a typed script and use Script Check to review characters, scenes, dialogue and stage directions. Correct who speaks and separate directions from spoken words. Local corrections are free. For difficult imports, optional paid AI script repair offers additional help, with a review step before you approve the script for rehearsal.

EXPLORE THE WORLD BEHIND THE WORDS
Keep reference material with your production. Use My Sources to ask questions about your script and references, or Public Research to explore context from web sources with citations. Follow a reference, investigate the setting or bring a question about the text into your preparation. AI answers can be mistaken; check the cited material. Public Research answers are available for the current session.

START WITH A SCENE
Try the prepared sample from The Importance of Being Earnest, or bring a script you have permission to use. Script layouts vary: review every import, and expect scanned or unusual layouts to need extra preparation. AI repair has file-size and usage limits.

FREE REHEARSAL, OPTIONAL PAID TOOLS
Apple-voice rehearsal and local script corrections are free. Optional Plus and Pro memberships provide monthly allowances for premium voice generation and research. Paid AI repair has its own usage limits. Optional voice-credit top-ups are available; purchased voice credits do not expire and remain yours if your membership ends.

New premium audio, AI research and AI repair require an internet connection and available allowance. Voice generation can also use purchased voice credits. See current offers, included allowances and local prices in the app before purchase. Memberships renew automatically unless cancelled in your Apple subscription settings.
