Automatically does the fit-for-me in app (kind of, doesn’t point to the role, just the show that has a matching role). I’m in SagAftra, but not AEA, so the union filter is full of plays I can’t audition for, and the non-union filter is full of films I can’t audition. Very unhelpful and a time-sink too. ### 2/5 — Functionality requests *2026-06-20* Please add the ability to pinch and zoom on the audition sides, Without that, looking at the sides in the app is not very helpful. If not that, at least add the ability to export the sides to the Files app (just as we’d be able to do with the same sides on a desktop or laptop computer) so we can pinch and zoom in the Files app. Also, please add the ability to choose custom notification sounds for new roles, Cmail, etc. ### 2/5 — Missing basic functionality *2026-05-10, version 1.9* Just discovered that it isn’t even possible to pinch and zoom on JPEG images of the audition sides, much less print them. This makes the sides kind of unusable… ### 2/5 — Basic and not intuitive *2026-04-26* I have an agent, so everything on AA goes through them. I think the other two reviews were for self-represented, but my rating is still low. This app technically does what it’s supposed to — as in, the minimum. You can see your auditions and their breakdowns and the buttons all work. The problem with this app is you can’t copy and paste anything in the description. Often, you’re asked to copy and paste a link into your browser for reference, or there is a condensed/alt version of the script in the breakdown that I want to copy and print, but can’t. You also cannot print any attachments via the app, which is annoying for people like me who prefer to work with paper copies. The formatting of breakdowns can be all over the place as well. I’m not sure how things appear from the casting side, but from the actors‘ side, information is all squished together, contradicting itself, or totally scattered. I like organized information. Considering all the charges AA demands, this app should be improved. And not by making the app an extra charge. It even says there are only two ratings for this app when there are six. ### 3/5 — Please add print *2026-02-27* For the love of the angels please add a function to print the sides from the app Spare me this nonsense. ### 4/5 — Pay the subscription *2026-01-29* The subscription is SO worth it, I promise. I just wish we didn’t have to go to the website to add pictures and edit our resume. Please add a way to do that on the app. ### 2/5 — Limited Functions *2025-12-07* I saw many reviews mentioning how bad the app is vs the website. It’s true. You can’t modify your profile or upload headshots/media. You can’t even filter breakdowns. “Role Match” Notifications are not helpful & got so spammy, had to turn it off. Hope they upgrade this app! This needs addressed, it wasn’t buggy before but now it’s been a bit of a hot mess. ### 1/5 — What’s the point? *2025-04-29* The app doesn’t open my profile. It alerts me that I have notifications but doesn’t recognize me as a user. So, ummm, how are there notifications? I’ve removed it and reinstalled with no luck. ### 2/5 — Needs work *2025-03-24* The app needs one major update- the ability to send notifications when you have an audition or direct message sent to you. It’s not important to get notifications for when there is a new opportunity available on the if in a high volume city like nyc or la. Email is fine for that. What’s really needed is direct notifications of messages incoming ### 1/5 — Upload Issue *2025-03-10* App works in terms of finding and submitting for roles. When it comes to submitting for auditions, it’s very disappointing. Have had on many occasions where audio issues occur because recording on IPhone with the ringer silent can affect uploading on a computer. The most frustrating of all is when uploading self tapes through the phone, video will be at full bar percentage and then suddenly just disappear. Have missed out on many auditions because of this and have had to decline and explain that the app is not working. Really hope this gets solved. Update: changed from two stars to one star as the problem has persisted ,leading to continuous missed audition opportunities and only being able to decline and leave an email in hopes for a response back. Completely unacceptable for having the yearly subscription. ### 3/5 — It's alright *2025-03-10* The Actors Access app is only ok but limited. It's annoying you can only view two locations, unlike the website where you can view all over the US + Canada. For some reason when I upload my auditions and check back to make sure it uploaded correctly the audio never works. So I have to go to the website or my computer to make sure it uploaded with audio. I also have a suggestion for Actors Access as a whole. When CDs reach out to actors many times they'll say "if you have any questions, please reach out" but more often than not they won't leave an email, probably assuming we can simply reach out through cMail. Could there be a way to be able to reach out through cMail to the CDs if we have any questions? This happens ALL THE TIME and would be very helpful on the actor's side! ### 2/5 — Upload Issue *2025-02-27, version 1.7* App works great in terms of finding and submitting for roles. Region will not update/change (after changing locations) when looking for postings. It remains the same. Even if you pull down to refresh. If you're on let's say, Southeast, and then you change to let's say, Hawaii, it will still show Southeast. SOMETIMES if try another location, it will go to Hawaii. I hope SAG shuts them down on the next strike ! They have no android app and Thor website is horrible on mobile devices GREEDY GREEDY GREEDY spend some money on improving your app and website ### 1/5 — Ruins job opportunities *2026-01-09* Where do I begin. - Changing a file name in app does not change the file name for the recipient of the file, for the recipient it will revert back to the previous name in your files. Jobs request to have files named specific titles, why is there an option to change the file name if it never changes the file name. - Does not send a notification when you have a scheduled audition, but spams notifications for jobs for which you haven’t submitted and of which you don’t match the specs. - Have received an email for an audition I am approved to submit for, but it takes days for the submission link to appear in app. - Uploading often shuts down app forcing a restart and is excessively slow whether on data or wifi. Plenty of actors rely on this app for their careers and it has let a lot of us down. Memberships cost a lot of money, would be a good idea to use that money to update the app once in a while. ### 1/5 — Awful *2025-11-06* They should not be asking for anything extra for extra work. I’m just going to stick to Modeling and Production. My boyfriend is a well known actor and he’s even confused. ### 1/5 — Buggy and too limited *2025-09-25* Please fix a bug where when viewing an audition detail screen there is duplicates of all the media provided by casting. These duplicates cause confusion and make it harder for actors to focus on the right things. Additionally, we should be able to filter roles and see our profile / tools in the app. ### 1/5 — No Cmail Notifications *2025-07-22* I got this app so I can receive notifications for when I get an audition but for some reason I am never notified. I get notifications for “new roles” but not for auditions. What’s the point? On occasion I have received an email for an audition I am approved to submit for, and it takes days for it to even appear on the app. Uploading often restarts and is excessively slow. Plenty of actors rely on this app for their careers and it has let a lot of us down. ### 1/5 — Unauthorized charge *2025-07-10* I checked it out and wanted to try it out for a month and did not say my card, but for some reason, my car was still on file where I do not know where it was. I had an audition due during maintenance, had you said what was happening on the app I could have scheduled accordingly. Something was changed a few months ago so I had to redo them. But it's working now. Not really a five-star app. The last star is a pity star. I still don't really like Actors Access because you have to pay every time you want to upload a new picture. But some CDs like it for some reason. [It used to work but hasn’t sent me any new breakdowns in months, though my profile is complete. I have to look in Safari.
