For this price I expect more. Dropbox seems to be the only storage showing without putting some effort into setting up other storage which also involves a great deal research. Unfortunately it comes filled with useless garbage embroidery designs which take up tons of space, can't seem to be deleted, and make it inefficient to scroll and search through designs. The price of this app and the quality of my Janome skyline made me assume that it would be a much more professional app. A better system to view thumbnails and store in folders would make a huge difference. I am astounded that they have made no effort to improve this expensive app. ### 1/5 — Not Working *2018-07-28* App will not download correctly and getting an error that it won’t connect to the server. Very frustrating when you pay $50 for an app that won’t work and thousands for a machine. I can’t find any tech solutions or information for it online to fix the issue. I have reached out to different dealers of Janome and no one can help. ### 1/5 — Great once but constantly crashing *2025-01-17* I got this with my Janome MC15000 and initially it was great. It hasn’t been updated for a few years, you cannot delete the inbuilt designs, they offer for purchase, which take up a lot of space, isn’t updated for all of the machines and is now constantly crashing. I noticed they can update the shop in it tho with regular new designs to purchase but don’t invest any money in this app. I’m fed up with constant crashes and i cannot use this app to the best of its ability. It keeps crashing when trying to transfer the Jef file to AcuEdit. It crashes when loading on the Home Screen often. It also crashes when trying to edit or even clean up stitches! Not acceptable from a big brand company! It used to be a great app, and even then it had crash issues but at least it was useable, now I cant use it as it just doesn’t work as it should especially for the main reasons the app is good for. ### 1/5 — Paid $50.00 to be frustrated *2021-06-28, version 3.1* I have been watching YouTube videos to figure out how to use this app. When the ladies are telling you how wonderful the help tag is, I do just as they show and the app locks up. So now where does one go for help? I have spent more then $10,000.00 on Janome machines in the last month. Easiest way to import designs and then transfer them to my machine. Only thing I wish was included is a way to combine multiple designs in one hooping. - Keep the updates and new designs coming! ### 5/5 — AcuDesign *2018-10-26* Works great! Use it every day. Cleans up stitches, change hoops, edits designs anyway you want, combines designs,works great with Dropbox. Love the “Fit to Hoop” button...what’s not to love. Works perfect every time. Made new categories to put my designs in. Also bought the extra LETTER module. Love it all! ### 5/5 — Embroidery Editing for my iPad! *2016-08-23* Love being able to edit my embroidery designs when I travel. I am really enjoying the cute new designs and the software works perfectly with my other designs stored in my Dropbox folders. Lettering has fun fonts and is easy to use. ### 4/5 — Needs update urgently *2019-10-10, version 3.1* I love this app, I store my designs in folders, send to my machine, has worked brilliantly until now. The last software update 13.1.2 has totally ruined AcuDesign. Not only lost all the designs I had stored in AcuDesign, the downloading of designs does not recognise AcuDesign at all. I am sure I am not the only one with this problem. Please fix ASAP, hopefully my designs will miraculously appear as quick as they disappeared ### 4/5 — Great app but . . . . . *2017-12-19* I love this app although it takes some work to fully understand its potential. I find the tiny video tutorials on YouTube aren’t enough and it’s more by trial and error that you will get to understand how to use it. Once you do master it, it is great - I have an MC15000 and tend to download my purchased designs to the app, make a few adjustments, then send to the machine. The hoop sizes for the different machines was a problem - three of my friends (all different Janome machines) purchased the app and it was frustrating that their machines were not listed, but that problem seems to be resolved now. I worked out how to make my own packages/tags but would love it if I could make my own categories. Apart from that, a must have for serious machine embroiderers! ### 4/5 — Great app, but since the update not good *2017-10-27* I’ve recently updated this app, but it now crashes when trying to upload from Dropbox, which has also updated lately. It’s very frustrating, the app is great, have been using it since it was launched, even though 8 didn’t have the 15000 at the t8me I was able to use it for my 350E and 12000 via Dropbox and a laptop. Now the app is no longer compatible with Dropbox?? Please fix soon. With the change in API from Dropbox, we desperately need an update to AcuDesign to enable this feature again. ### 3/5 — Not up to date with the Janome 500E so can't really tell *2016-05-30* I purchased this thinking I would be able to use it with my Janome 500e machine and the hoops but it's so out of date. Janome released the 500e last year in the USA so I would have thought they'd have added that machine to their list - it has the 200e, 300e and 350e but NOT the 500e so I am not able to try out the designs because the hoop sizes are not there!
