## What is AcuoGolf?

AcuoGolf is a Strokes Gained tracker built for golfers who want to understand exactly where they lose shots.

Tap REGISTER where the ball lies. AcuoGolf captures the GPS position instantly and calculates Strokes Gained against a PGA Tour, scratch, or handicap benchmark of your choice. The post-round review screen shows every shot on a satellite map with distance pills between markers — drag any pin if your fix drifted, and the entire hole recomputes.

If you do not want to register your shots on the course, the manual register feature is for you! Do the registration of the shots from your couch after the round.

New to Strokes Gained? The in-app guide walks you through GPS vs. manual rounds, putts, penalties, and what the numbers actually mean — no golf-stats background required.

WHAT YOU GET

• Pick your course from a searchable database — par autofills from course data and other players' rounds, or type a name manually if your course isn't listed
• Strokes Gained per round, split into Off the Tee, Approach, Around the Green, and Putting — ranked by what each band actually costs you per round played
• Set an aim target for your tee shot and approach, then see your miss tendency and how far off-line you finished
• Average driving distance from par-4 and par-5 tee shots, plus dispersion and left/hit/right miss tendency
• Approach bands from 40 yards to 220+: avg SG, avg proximity to the hole (and to your own target, once set), and the benchmark threshold at each distance
• Around-the-Green breakdown by lie: fairway, rough, sand
• Track your bag and tag the club on every shot — see your typical distance and Strokes Gained per club
• Putting bands with make percentage from each distance
• Scoring average overall and per par
• Fairways hit, GIR, and scrambling percentages

SHARE WITH YOUR COACH

Invite your coach by email and they'll see your round scores and Strokes Gained stats in their own dashboard — never your GPS shot data. Revoke access any time.

PUTTING IS DIFFERENT

GPS is too coarse for putts. Enter the start distance for each putt — the app computes SG and make % per band from data you actually trust.

PENALTIES DONE RIGHT

OB and hazard penalties apply to the shot that caused them. Your recovery shot is measured on its own merits.

UNITS YOUR WAY

Yards or metres for shots. Feet or metres for putts — independently. Putts default to feet because that's how every TV broadcast you watch reports them.

ACUO PRO

Acuo Pro removes ads for good — every feature stays free for everyone, Pro simply makes the app ad-free. Manage or restore your purchase any time in Settings.

PRIVACY

Your shot data is yours. We don't sell it. Read the full policy in-app or at acuoathletes.com/acuogolf/privacy-policy

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.29.1 — 2026-08-28

REGISTER is faster than ever. Shot capture now resolves in a fraction of a second, even if you tap while you're still walking up to the ball — no more occasional multi-second waits for a GPS fix.

Inviting your coach now asks for your name first, so a request from an anonymous email address (common with Sign in with Apple's Hide My Email) always tells your coach who's asking to share.

Plus a batch of accuracy fixes from an internal audit: Around-the-Green proximity now shows correctly in feet for imperial users, a hole's shot count and Strokes Gained can no longer drift out of sync when re-visiting an in-progress hole, new sign-ups no longer have their device language overridden back to English, and a handful of other edge cases in stats and coach-sharing.

### 2.28.1 — 2026-08-24

Aim your shots, not just record them. GPS rounds can now show exactly where you were aiming on your tee shot and your approach, then track how close you actually finished — turn it on from Settings, or accept the one-time prompt if it looks like it would help your game.

A new Driving card shows your miss tendency (left, hit, or right) and how far off-line your drives land on average. Approach shots now also show your average proximity to the actual target, not just the hole.

Track your bag: set up your clubs in the new My Bag screen, then tag which club you hit on any shot — right in Round Review, or live as you register a manual round. New Stats cards show your typical distance and Strokes Gained per club, off the tee and around the course.

Your rounds list now shows at a glance whether a round's targets and clubs are fully tagged, with one tap to clear them in bulk if you want a clean slate.

Plus more reliable GPS accuracy while you're standing over the ball, and a smoother manual-round registration screen that no longer crowds the distance field off-screen when the keyboard is up.

### 2.17.2 — 2026-08-21

Pick your course instead of typing it every time — search nearby courses or browse by name, and AcuoGolf links your round to real course data. Can't find your course? Manual entry is still right there, with equal billing, no extra taps.

Hole pars now fill themselves in from course data and other golfers' rounds, so most rounds need little to no manual par entry. You can always correct a hole's par yourself — your edit always wins.

Playing 9 holes? Choose Front 9, Back 9, or All 18 up front, and your holes are numbered correctly either way.

Give your rounds a name — a round's title is now separate from its course, so you can call today's round whatever you like without losing your course history.

Plus keyboard and layout fixes on the New Round screen.

### 2.13.1 — 2026-08-14

Share with your coach — invite them by email and they'll see your round scores and Strokes Gained stats in their own dashboard, never your GPS shot data. Revoke access any time from the Menu.

New to Strokes Gained? A built-in guide covers GPS vs. manual rounds, putts, penalties, benchmark tiers, and what the numbers actually mean.

REGISTER is now instant — no more 3-second wait for your shot to log.

Your Stats bands now show what each distance actually costs you per round played, with a best and biggest-leak badge on Putting, Approach, and Around the Green.

You can now edit a completed hole without waiting for the round to end — fix a lie, a distance, or a putt from earlier in the round at any time.

We also recalibrated the Strokes Gained benchmarks for mid- and high-handicap tiers, which were scoring more harshly than they should. Your past rounds will re-score automatically — nothing to do on your end, just more accurate numbers.

Plus a redesigned sign-in screen, a faster manual round flow with prefilled hole lengths, and a new Menu hub for Goals, Settings, and your coach.

### 2.5.4 — 2026-08-08

Introducing Acuo Pro — go ad-free for good. Every feature you already have stays free;
Pro simply removes ads across the app. Find it in Settings, or restore a previous
purchase any time.

Performance and stability improvements.

AcuoGolf will now let you know when a new version is available, so you're always
playing with the latest fixes and improvements.
