### 1/5 — Worse app ever

### 1/5 — ZDX

*2026-03-23, version 2.7.14*

Connection tres compliqué

### 1/5 — App never works properly.

*2026-03-15, version 2.7.14*

Worse app ever. Never works properly.

### 2/5 — Slowly better

*2026-03-11, version 2.7.14*

This app is slowing getting better. We originally purchased a new ZDX on March 1, 2025 and it took 9 months with support to get the app working.
The last update in Feb 2026, makes most things work but when you send a command to the car, you rarely get feedback correctly that it has changed in the car. I.e. Updating Charge setting says successful but still shows the old value for several hours or days. Check the screen in the car and it has usually changed but not always. Setting climate control remotely is hit and miss. Needs more work!

### 2/5 — Connectivity issues

*2026-03-08, version 2.7.14*

The app does not always connect to the car. I had to open and close the app a few times in order for the app to make adjustments to charge settings. The app was up to date when checked on the App Store. I had similar issues with the climate control during the winter.

### 1/5 — Poor attempt

*2026-03-08, version 2.7.14*

My 2014 BMW had an app that was flawless. This one has been full of flaws. When they fix something, another things breaks.

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2026-03-06, version 2.7.14*

App doesn’t work. Complete waste. Zero stars.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2026-03-06, version 2.7.14*

I love Acura but this app is comically bad. What is the point of having remote features like remote start, locks, lights and climate controls when it NEVER connects to my EV? I can’t check on my charge from my phone so I have to rely on the Chargepoint app when charging to gauge my status. I am so disappointed in this app and it doesn’t seem like Acura has done anything to improve it. Do better.

### 1/5 — Wake up Acura!

*2026-03-04, version 2.7.14*

App is incredibly unreliable. The latest issue…. Set climate control to warm the interior on a cold day? Instead….. it puts the controls on”LO”… the coldest setting!

The ZDX is great… but part of the purchase is technology…. And Acura has failed miserably and doesn’t seem to care!

### 2/5 — Issue after Update

*2026-02-28, version 2.7.14*

For that past 1-2 weeks, using the app to start the car and use climate control to a warm temp, it starts the car and blasts cold air (in winter!!). Fix it!

And! Please explain why the developer response is for us to call in-car tech support??

### 1/5 — Useless Garbage

*2026-02-20, version 2.7.13*

This app is useless garbage. Seriously, don’t even bother downloading it. And shame on Acura for peddling this junk.

### 1/5 — Bad update

*2026-02-20, version 2.7.13*

Ever since the last update when I use the climate function when I get to my car the temperature is at the lowest setting instead of the temperature that I set it to.

### 1/5 — Never accurate

*2026-02-20, version 2.7.13*

It’s February and mine won’t refresh from November’s data . Useless

### 2/5 — Glitchy Garbage

*2026-02-20, version 2.7.13*

This app has been subpar from the beginning but in the last week the climate settings no longer work properly. I’ve gone into the app to turn on the climate feature and have been met with cold air blasting through the vents when I get in my car even though I’ve set the climate settings to 70 degrees or higher. Fix this we are paying premium prices for these cars and getting garbage in return

### 1/5 — Horrible app

*2026-02-19, version 2.7.13*

My car disconnects and it won’t sync

### 1/5 — I’ll see you in court

*2026-02-10, version 2.7.12*

May it please the Court.

This case is about promises made, promises relied upon, and promises broken.

The plaintiff purchased an Acura ZDX not only as a vehicle, but as a connected vehicle—one that Acura explicitly marketed as being supported by a functioning mobile application that allows owners to remotely monitor, manage, and interact with their car. Features such as remote start, charging status, vehicle location, climate control, and system notifications were not optional extras; they were core components of the ownership experience Acura represented to consumers.

From the moment of delivery, however, the Acura ZDX application failed to perform as advertised. Despite repeated attempts to activate and use the app, despite compliance with Acura’s instructions, and despite multiple service visits and communications with Acura and its representatives, the application has remained unreliable or completely nonfunctional.

This is not a minor inconvenience. The app is integral to how this vehicle is operated, charged, and managed—especially for an electric vehicle where remote charging controls and real-time information are essential. Acura continued to market and sell this functionality while knowing, or at the very least having reason to know, that the system was defective and unresolved.

The plaintiff did everything a reasonable consumer could do: followed instructions, sought dealer assistance, allowed time for updates, and gave Acura every opportunity to correct the issue. Acura did not.

At its core, this case is about accountability. When a manufacturer sells a premium vehicle at a premium price, and advertises specific digital functionality as part of that product, the law requires that those representations be true. The evidence will show that Acura failed to deliver what it promised, failed to remedy the defect within a reasonable time, and left the consumer with a product that does not conform to its warranties or marketing claims.

At the conclusion of this case, we will ask the Court to hold Acura responsible for that failure and to provide the relief the law guarantees to consumers who are sold a product that does not work as promised.

Thank you.

### 1/5 — App never works

*2026-02-08, version 2.7.12*

Always something with this app…never fails, ERROR or try again in a few mins etc!! They need to redo this whole app and fix it already!! It’s getting real frustrating

### 1/5 — Atrocious

*2026-02-08, version 2.7.12*

Doesn’t work more often than it does. I hate how this app is necessary to utilize all the functions of the vehicle i paid for.

### 1/5 — Continue to be underwhelmed under

*2026-02-05, version 2.7.12*

The Acura ZDX app is extremely underwhelming for a luxury vehicle. It feels like a high school extra-credit project rather than a fully developed product from a premium brand.

the overall design and functionality are overly simplistic and lack refinement. For a luxury car, one would expect a polished, intuitive, and reliable digital experience….at least at a college-level standard.

Instead, the app feels elementary. It does not match the quality, sophistication, or expectations associated with a luxury vehicle. The car itself is fine, but the app significantly falls short.

### 1/5 — Doesn't work!

*2026-01-30, version 2.7.12*

App hasn't worked in 3+ months for me. Customer support is useless and clueless on how to fix it. Even when it did work it has less functionality than the myChevrolet app (ZDX is a GM product). App doesn't work with Apple Watch.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Horrible app

*2026-07-13, version 2.7.17*

The app is extremely slow to respond and sometimes takes multiple times trying to accomplish the same task before it works

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2026-06-10, version 2.7.17*

This app has worked maybe 1 month out of the 2 years I’ve had the car. I can’t believe it’s never been fixed. It hasn’t refreshed in months.

### 1/5 — Acura doesn’t care

*2026-05-24, version 2.7.15*

Clearly, with Honda exiting EVs those of us who got a ZDX are forgotten by Honda. The Acura EV app is a perfect example. It never worked well and now Honda has no incentive to fix it. The ZDX is my first and will be my last Honda product.

### 1/5 — Owner

*2026-05-13, version 2.7.15*

The app is dreadful. The commands either take 10 minutes to complete or just don’t work at all. It’s mind blowing how little effort is seemingly being spent on this…or maybe it isn’t since they stopped producing the car

### 1/5 — Slow

*2026-05-09, version 2.7.15*

Too long to respond. Not efficient

### 1/5 — Acura app

*2026-05-07, version 2.7.15*

The worst app ever. EVs these days have the intelligence & built-in AI & should be fast. This app apparently was built for Stone Age cars. Very very slow

### 1/5 — Can’t connect

*2026-04-09, version 2.7.15*

like others have reported, the app is useless cause it can’t connect to the car, even while sitting inside the car. It used to connect more regularly but since Feb, it connected only twice.

### 1/5 — What a mess!

*2026-04-02, version 2.7.14*

This app means well. But falls short in many way. The connection times out. Refresh doesn’t work. In a world of instant connectivity this app can take up to 20 seconds to send a command.

Many many issues a major disappointment.

### 1/5 — Inconsistent & Frustrating

*2026-03-28, version 2.7.14*

Usually, you have to refresh several times before you get the expected results. Sending commands to the car rarely works.

Whoever developed this app needs to go back to the drawing board and create something that actually works!

RE: Developer Response

All support does is tells you to reinstall the app and/or keep the key away from the phone when trying to use is.

I’ve reinstalled the app numerous times. Same result.

And the bit about the key? Seriously?

Update: this app is still horrible.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2026-03-27, version 2.7.14*

This app occasionally works! Most of the time it cannot communicate with the car and sometimes it takes a long time for it to perform a command!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Support..??

*2026-01-30, version 2.7.12*

The support provided for the app is non existent. I’ve tried, and tried…and tried to be patient. I’m no novice with platforms and know that some require a little more TLC to load. Because the ZDX is a one and done model, I purchased the 2024 second hand with less than 5k miles. Loaded the app and called for support to transfer the account…a week ago (?) and STILL no help. I did reach OnStar and got that activated but Honda has been radio silent except for my call being transferred to Canada (?). I’ll try and update this when I or if I ever do hear back from them. For now I could give a quarter star I would.

UPDATE: I would have hoped to provide more positive news by now, but unfortunately that’s NOT the case. I’d like to have a the app work simply for the technology. But on the other hand why would anyone need a brick on their phone to weigh it down. @Acura, I’d like to say do better but not so certain it would help.

### 5/5 — Does not work, setting up takes months time

*2026-01-19, version 2.7.12*

I took a ZDX type S on Nov last and this is Jan 19 and still following up with Onstar and Honda to make it work.. pathetic customer service support..

### 5/5 — Review

*2026-01-13, version 2.7.12*

I’m loving it!

### 5/5 — Finally

*2025-10-17, version 2.7.6*

Finally this app getting updates to improve user experience, it is faster than before and more reliable

### 5/5 — Sooo much better

*2025-10-09, version 2.7.5*

This app used to take forever to update. The latest update is night and day better. Thank you

### 5/5 — Great technology

*2025-06-09, version 2.5.1*

This is the first fully electric vehicle we’ve ever bought, and we are super pleased with this ZDX A-Spec AWD. Comfortable, spacious seating and a terrific software package. All the power one should need at 490 hp. Super quiet and smooth ride, my wife says I have no excuse for not hearing her. We bought this vehicle for the simple fact, that it represents the pinnacle of technological vehicle evolution. Which is simply fun to be part of.

### 5/5 — 2024 ZDX A Spec

*2025-05-05, version 2.5.0*

Excellent features

### 5/5 — Works every time

*2025-04-23, version 2.5.0*

They have improved the response times and glitches the app had when it launched.

### 5/5 — Pin Issue

*2025-04-23, version 2.5.0*

Can’t create and confirm my PIN

### 5/5 — App doesn’t connect to car

*2025-04-19, version 2.5.0*

I have tried several times to make this app work! It shows my car/is linked to my car but all of the remote services like lock/unlock, location, battery status etc. say “unable to process your request, please try again later.” Completely useless.
