There is no reason for it to do this. The app tells me I have a message in my inbox. This message is telling me that my subscription is expiring - my subscription is not expiring. If your phone is on (using any app) after about 30 seconds after starting your car, AcuraLink will automatically open and cover your map, music, or whatever app you had open. Sometimes the app won’t connect when you do want to use it. More than half of the time, the app won’t update to show your actual vehicle status. The app will sometimes say “unable to send command” when it actually did send a command. The app says my account is expired when I am automatically being billed each month. ### 2/5 — Very Glitchy! *2026-08-25, version 5.4.2* Not sure if the problem is with the app or the ZDX, but it’s very unreliable. It’s very frustrating when it’s really hot outside and I’m trying to turn on the AC in the vehicle before going out to the vehicle, but I’m unable to. What I get is tap on the of AcuraEv app which takes me to download new App. I click on that n takes me to Get which opens up the AcuraLink App. This is hire I got into the AcuraLink. I searched for the AcuraLink icon but can’t find. No reason but more $ but is there any other way to remote start your car? No… so I pay for the app. Now everytime I get in the car the app comes up and wastes my battery life. Then when I want to use the remote start it is slow or doesn’t work! It would be faster for me to run out and start the car then it would be to open up the app, put my password in, wait for it to connect and then start the car. Constant glitching, remote starts rarely works, they always suggest that I delete the app and redownload it. Crazy that I have a $30k car with an additional monthly paid subscription just to remote start it and it barely functions. If I try to remote start in AM going to work, it takes 10 mins to load- it’s faster for me to walk outside and start it myself. Even if the car has been driven that day, it will only remote start on the second try- again I’ve already wasted several minutes. Useless. They keep pushing updates for the remote start to still not work. There’s a ton of people online that hate this feature with no way to turn it off. Very intrusive. Also, everything is still very slow when trying to send commands to the car. Many times a command says it fails, but it actually works. But you’re left out of sight of your car, guessing if it worked. Based on nothing but the app experience alone I’ll be buying something other than Acura next time ### 1/5 — The worst *2026-08-28, version 5.4.2* Acura Link is probably the worst app I have ever used. 95% of the time it doesn’t do what it’s supposed to and it takes forever!!! The user interface is poor with limited functionality and the app is very buggy. The most recent bug shows unread messages even though there are no messages. It seams every update has new bugs so their software QC appears to be nonexistent. For such a big and respected company I am shocked and disappointed that they have such a pitiful app and have not switched to a better software development team after receiving so many negative reviews and customer complaints. ### 1/5 — Enough is Enough *2026-08-25, version 5.4.2* This is by far the worst app I’ve ever used in any capacity. To the point, I’ll likely avoid ever getting another Acura again. The issues are: This app doesn’t properly refresh on a daily and often needs to happen manually. The auto start doesn’t always connect. On the rare occasion it works, the auto start when it does connect will lock you out the car unless you take the key out the fob to unlock the door which then shuts the car off. There are constant system maintenance updates despite the performance of the app continuously being horrendous. You can’t update your email address unless you call them. And on special occasions, your account will lock you out, force you to update your password, and still keep locking you out afterwards. This app hasn’t seen an update in the 5 years I’ve had my car.
