The idea that it’s free to try places all the responsibility on the user to cancel. If it was a good app then people would want to buy the service after a trial period. Everyone should always delete apps the use a negative option subscription. It’s very likely a poor service with a poor cancellation policy.

Explains how you activate it in settings only for you to find out that there’s no point—they offer you a subscription for their adblocking service instead. Yeah no—I’m not paying you forever to have a basic thing done for me. What happened to free adblockers?
