## What is Ad Blocker Pro?

Ad Blocker Pro applies the same 240,000 blocking rules in Safari and in the app's built-in browser. Either way ads are practically gone - on almost every site, not a single ad gets through. On-device DNS protection adds to that, blocking known tracker domains and encrypting your DNS traffic.

Ad blocking in Safari
Just turn on the Safari extension and ads practically vanish from the Safari you already use. 240,000 rules go to work, and on almost every site not a single ad is shown.
- 190,000 blocking rules: banners, video ads and pop-ups are stopped before they load. The request never happens, so pages open faster and use less data.
- 26,000 element-hiding rules: the frames and gaps the ads used to sit in are removed, so the page closes up neatly.
- 16,000 advanced rules: they handle ads injected by scripts and ad-block detection, with dedicated rules for 35,000 sites.
- 22,000 exception rules: the traffic a site genuinely needs is let through, so pages keep working.

Built-in ad-blocking browser
The app also includes its own browser, applying the same rules at the same strength as Safari. There is no extension to set up - ads are practically gone from the moment you install.

ここまで分かりやすい設定で、邪魔な広告をブロックしてくれて、更に買い切りなのがとても良い。

従前は、SafariやLINE等のアプリの広告がしっかりブロックされていたが、ここ1,2ヶ月でブロックされなくなった。
サファリブロック、DNS保護をオンにしても広告はブロックされない。
開発者の方には対策を取ってほしい。
今までは良いアプリだったが、現状のままではおすすめしない。

**Developer response:** ご報告ありがとうございます。以前は問題なくお使いいただけていたとのこと、ご不便をおかけしております。

まず、心当たりのある不具合が1つございます。7.2.6より前のバージョンには、Safari拡張の状態確認がまれに失敗したときに、それを「拡張が無効」と誤判定して保護トグルが自動的にオフへ戻ってしまう不具合がありました。この問題は7.2.6で修正済みで、現在公開中の7.2.8にも含まれています。まだ更新されていない場合は、アップデートをお試しください。

あわせて、次の点もご確認いただけますでしょうか。
1) 設定 → Safari → 機能拡張 で本アプリの拡張を有効にし、「すべてのWebサイト」を許可する
2) Safariの「履歴とWebサイトデータを消去」を実行してからページを再読み込みする（有効化前に保存された広告が残って表示されることがあります）
3) 他のVPNアプリをお使いの場合、iOSでは同時に1つしか動作できないため、そちらが接続中だと本アプリのDNS保護は停止します

DNS保護はSafari以外のアプリの通信にも適用され、広告配信専用のドメインが使われている場合はブロック対象になります。ただし、アプリがコンテンツと同じドメインから広告を配信している場合は、DNSの仕組み上その広告だけを切り分けることができません。

上記でも改善しない場合は、ご利用のiOSバージョンと発生状況を ifeeqp2002+adblocker@gmail.com までお知らせください。個別に調査いたします。

Die App schaltet sich mehrmals am Tag von allein ab, sodass Werbung durchkommt. Das war vor einem Update noch viel besser. Schade

B. bei Speicherdruck oder wenn eine andere VPN-App aktiv wird); derzeit wird der Schutz beim nächsten Öffnen der App bzw. über den Schalter wieder aktiviert. Der Safari-Werbeblocker arbeitet davon unabhängig weiter. Wir prüfen weitere Stabilitätsverbesserungen für kommende Updates. Wenn Sie uns über „Kontakt" in den Einstellungen Ihr Gerätemodell und die iOS-Version mitteilen, hilft uns das sehr bei der Analyse.

7.0.0のアップデートからDNSフィルタリングの追加にVPN構成の追加が必要になったり、Safari広告ブロックに拡張機能を有効にしないと行けなくなったりと、今まではこんなことをしなくても広告をブロックできていたのにどうして変えたんですか？？？

あまりにも急な変更すぎて怪しいのでもう二度と使いません。

**Developer response:** ご不便をおかけし申し訳ありません。iOS では仕様上、アプリが端末全体の DNS をフィルタするには「VPN 構成」の追加が必須です（これは外部サーバーに接続する VPN ではなく、端末内で完結するローカルの DNS フィルタです。通信は外部に送られません）。同様に、Safari の広告ブロックも iOS の仕組み上「コンテンツブロッカー拡張機能」を有効にする必要があり、これは Apple が定めた方式で回避できません。手順が増えてしまった点はお詫びしますが、いずれも安全のために必要な設定です。設定でお困りの場合は ifeeqp2002+adblocker@gmail.com までご連絡ください。
