The Word of God is an important part of our daily walk as followers of the Lord Jesus Christ. And reading it daily is for the transformation and renewal of strength of your body, soul and spirit protecting you against the works of the devil and of the flesh. The Word of God is a fountain of life, full of God’s promises to all His children. It serves as our hope, our light and our daily communication to the Father.

And in the light of reading and studying the Word of God, there are aids to help you understand the Bible better such as Bible commentaries from other theologians. A Bible commentary is written by a commentator in a series of notes which explains the meaning of passages of Scripture and or its historical context that may reflect the beliefs and perspective of the writer.

And Adam Clarke was one of the commentators who did comprehensive look at the Bible almost verse per verse. His writings were influenced by the Methodist founder John Wesley and wrote from an orthodox Methodist perspective.

Adam Clarke said that “The Bible is proved to be a revelation from God, by the reasonableness and holiness of its precepts, all its commands, exhortations and promises having the most direct tendency to make men wise, holy and happy in themselves, and useful to one another.”

Moreover, he also said that “If you go forward in the spirit of the original apostles and followers of Jesus Christ, trusting not in man but in the living God, he will enable you to pull down the strong holds of sin and Satan, and that work by which He is pleased will prosper in your hands.”

### 1/5 — Navigation is terrible

*2024-08-19, version 40.0*

This app badly needs to be redesigned.

### 1/5 — Ad's

*2024-01-12, version 40.0*

I realize I have a free version of the commentary , but the choice of ad's is awful. I hadn't opened this app in a while and may delete.
The ad that just played was some sort of game killing people.
This is what is wrong with our society today. Allowing children to play this trash thinking it's ok to kill another human!
Terribly disappointed
Praising God I have a set of the Adam Clark's commentary books and I will just use those.

### 1/5 — Loud audio commercials without warning. Avoid.

*2021-07-22, version 39.0*

So rude. I understand that the apps need funding but obnoxious commercials are terrible. I deleted this app.

### 4/5 — Adam Clarke

*2020-10-19, version 38.0*

I use this app all the time and am so glad it is available. My one problem with it is all the ads. I wish it were available for purchase as an ad free resource.

### 1/5 — Not happy

*2020-08-02, version 37.0*

I really appreciate Adam Clark commentary, but the games and ads that pop up are annoying and disappointing to say the least!!! I will not use the app for that reason period.

### 5/5 — Inspirational!

*2019-11-05, version 33.0*

A classic!

### 1/5 — Why can’t I read a whole chapter?

*2019-06-01, version 33.0*

I can only read one verse then I have to go back to the menu to choose the book, chapter and next verse to continue. This is a deal breaker. I’m a big fan of the Adam Clarke commentary but this setup is ridiculous.

### 1/5 — No search function

*2019-03-31*

Useless app. There is no search function, and not even a ‘next verse’ tab, making the entire app useless.
