The voice acting is phenomenal, the story engaging and the artwork beautiful. The games are hard enough to keep it interesting but not frustrating. And although they are basically the same styles of games I’ve played they have subtle nuances that make them unique. Totally worth $9 and I am hoping this dev comes out with more games like this, I will buy them all. I’ve never encountered an HOP game that had episodes. I like the continuity of the characters and the central theme following Adam Wolfe through multiple challenges. The puzzles were creative although not always clear on the required way to solve them. Spoiler alert: I really had an issue with how the developers handled Amanda’s death. Having her hanging in the room while Adam completed tasks and gathered items was really icky. He should’ve cut her down as soon as he found her. Probably the best game I have ever played and I have played a few good games. Worth every penny of £8.99 because it is technically brilliant and together with the tantalising story lines it is one of those ‘cant put down games’. Wish there were more games like this rather than the childish ones which seem to permeate the App Store.
