### 2/5 — Absolutely useless

*2025-01-15, version 4.0.7*

Inviting others does not work, connecting heaters overly complicated, and terrible UI!

### 1/5 — Doesn’t Work

*2023-11-05, version 3.9.9*

I’ve recently had to re-pair my heaters. When going through the process, it takes mere seconds before it says failed to connect. Tried everything even disabling 5ghz on router. After an hour troubleshooting, nothing. Emailed the company about two weeks ago and heard nothing. I now have zero functionality apart from off and on by the switch.

### 1/5 — Radiators rarely respond to app

*2023-10-29, version 3.9.9*

The Adax app is completely unreliable. I have four Adax radiators in two rooms. WiFi connects well and the blue WiFi light works. The identify radiator function works well. However, instructions to change temperature rarely work and often the App shows radiators as idle when they are continuing to heat. Probably the worst implementation of home contrail software I’ve ever seen.

### 1/5 — Rubbish App

*2023-10-19, version 3.9.9*

Just bought the heater for wi fi ability however can’t connect!
When I enter router password keeps coming back saying only accepts Latin characters???
Never had this before and no intention of changing my wi fi data, this is screwy and totally unacceptable in these times of simple click to connect products.
Useless will be going straight back do not buy if this is example of their technology.

### 1/5 — Waste of time.

*2023-10-17, version 3.9.9*

I have had Adax heaters for four years. The App has always been clunky, however this latest iteration doesn’t work. It is impossible to pair the app to the heaters using WiFi. Not sure if it’s the latest OS update but it doesn’t work, just goes round in a loop.

### 1/5 — ADAX app needs rewriting..

*2023-07-04, version 3.9.8*

The app install failed when I selected my wifi router name, which has a full stop in it or my other wifi extender name with an underscore in it. ADAX only accepts latin alphabet router names.

Sadly 99% of default router names don’t conform to ADAX unusual requirements. Also 99% of customers don’t know how to change their router name, not customer friendly is it.

I’m not bothering to change my router name as I’d have to reconfigure every device in the home, TV, phones, laptops, tablets, game consoles, security cameras et al.

No thanks ADAX please change your software to accept any wifi router name, like every other device interface out in the wild over the last 10+ years.

I’ll be using the radiator in manual mode instead :(

### 1/5 — You can rely on the app

*2023-04-21, version 3.9.5*

The scheduling is awful. It’s impossible to set it to the hours you want because it just makes random changes itself! I’ve got home after being out all day and the heater has been on the whole time. The amount of energy wasted due to this awful app means I cannot trust it. I just manually switch the heater on and off now.

### 3/5 — Ok. Needs improving.

*2023-03-06, version 3.9.5*

Connecting the radiators was quick and not too complicated. The app itself is quite glitchy. If you try to change the temp on separate radiators in quick succession it doesn’t work. The energy usage doesn’t refresh automatically. The scheduling take a while to get used to and it not easy to understand.
Radiators are great but more investment in the app please!

### 2/5 — Very difficult to understand

*2023-01-21, version 3.9.4*

I really like being able to program my radiators, but this app makes it very difficult to do so. The way it’s organized is opaque, making schedule adjustments is confusing, and it seems to be impossible to program more than two temperatures in one room.

### 1/5 — Inaccurate and inflexible

*2023-01-15, version 3.9.4*

Like many others I've found the scheduling hard to use and inflexible, you can have a night, day and away temperature only.
More worrying is the is the consumption monitor which is supposed to show how much power is used. For me it doesn't show any power use on days I know it's been on; and on days I don't want it on, the monitor shows it has been. I dont trust it at all.

### 2/5 — It doesn’t control the temp?

*2022-12-14, version 3.9.3*

Scheduling is complicated and crashed several times whilst setting up but seems to be working ok.

But controlling the heater temperature works sometimes (after 5-10 minutes) but then other times doesn’t work at all. We have 4 heaters in different areas of the house which have now just become manual heaters.

🤷 it’s annoying as otherwise it’s a nice looking app that gives you good info from the heaters. I don’t know why they haven’t tried to fix this as we’ve had the same issues for a year. They must’ve already invested too much £££ and it’s too much of a mess in the back end to fix.

### 1/5 — Can’t connect to WiFi

*2022-12-13, version 3.9.3*

Anytime I try to pair the heater with the app, it says the “field is invalid” after entering my WiFi password so I can’t even get past the first steps

### 1/5 — Only one radiator will pair

*2022-12-12, version 3.9.3*

I have not been able to add more than one radiator on my WiFi and you seem to be unable to add just as a Bluetooth option. This is something to do with it only connecting to a 2 ghz. Makes it a bit pointless.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2022-11-22, version 3.9.2*

No idea what is wrong with conventional timers rather than an app that doesn’t work and has been developed by school children - utterly useless.

### 1/5 — Shockingly unintuitive

*2022-10-04, version 3.9.2*

Really totally p***sed off with this app’. Had it working for about a year then changed my broadband provider to EE and was given a new router. Now I can’t connect the app and heaters to the router so am left with “dumb” unprogrammable heaters - total waste of money.

It keeps saying “incorrect wifi credentials” when I try to connect . Done everything I can find online, ensured it’s set to 2.4ghz - I’ve even reset the router password numerous times, ensuring no special characters are in it and it still won’t connect. Contacted Adax support and done everything they’ve said. So angry and disappointed with this.

### 1/5 — Can’t login since latest update

*2022-05-29, version 3.9.0*

Whenever I log in it briefly goes into the app then straight back to the login page. Useless!

### 1/5 — Won’t connect to Server

*2022-05-17, version 3.9.0*

New version (3.9) won’t connect to Adax backend.
Errors every time, looks like more testing was needed, but released just before a National Holiday, I guess someone had a performance target to meet.

Never buy heaters that require an internet connection to be effective.

### 1/5 — NotGoodAtAll

*2022-05-06, version 3.8.9*

First time opening app - get to sign in and start adding heater wizard.. cannot add a heater because my wifi password contains a space. Yikes.

Subsequent times opening app, won’t get past the login screen.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Very bad

*2025-03-29, version 4.0.8*

Soo unreliable. Cannot trust if it’s connected or not, it’s showing the room temperature and target temperature but does not match the actual heater. It is so easy to think it’s turned off but it’s still turned causing big heating bills.
No local memory for schedule etc. no way to adjust down wattage of your heater.

### 1/5 — No longer working

*2025-02-11, version 4.0.7*

The app used to work now works for a few hours then stops. Completely unreliable. Unless this problem is sorted I would not recommend buying these heaters.

### 1/5 — Not fit for purpose

*2025-02-06, version 4.0.7*

This just doesn’t work consistently enough. My WiFi is fine for everything - streaming etc. yet for this it just doesn’t always work often leaving me with high heating bills when the radiators have been left on.

### 1/5 — Provides no troubleshooting

*2025-01-10, version 4.0.7*

I’ve had to reset the heater, performing the only instructions given (hold +,- and ok until re flashes). It’s not being found. But there are no alternative instructions as to what to do. No information on the heater. Not great.

### 1/5 — No longer supported

*2024-10-11, version 4.0.6*

Is the app no longer supported? As it keeps returning errors.

### 1/5 — SSID can’t connect to WiFi

*2024-09-25, version 4.0.6*

Standard error message. Not might fault BT put a hyphen in my WiFi SSID.

### 1/5 — Laughable

*2024-03-04, version 4.0.1*

Having special character restrictions on SSID name / password is ridiculous.

Most of the time these radiators don’t respond to the app anyway. Sometimes they do. Embarrassing

### 1/5 — App doesn’t work

*2024-01-12, version 4.0.1*

I have a WiFi and Bluetooth radiator model. The app can’t connect.

### 1/5 — Login with FB

*2023-12-09, version 4.0.1*

Changed the phone and login with FB not working. Remote home is out of control. The app is not stable, routines crashes randomly and as a result uses a lot of electricity when not needed. Sad for poor development

### 1/5 — Cant connect wifi

*2023-11-29, version 4.0.1*

I have the first gen wifi heaters. Five of them. In the 3 years Ive had them I would say the app had worked for maybe 6 months. The new version of the app is completely unable to pair with these heathers. It just gets stuck on “Wait for the blinking blue lights”.

Ive tried contacting support but after weeks of waiting, no reply. Unless something changes I would say in no uncertain terms - please dont waste your money on their products.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Neo Heater

*2024-01-12, version 4.0.1*

World Class

### 5/5 — Much better!

*2022-11-03, version 3.9.2*

The app used to have a lot of bugs and issues pairing. New ‘modules’ in the heaters with Bluetooth make it easier. App has step by step walkthrough as well for first time users! Very happy with the heaters as well

### 5/5 — Much improved

*2021-10-23, version 3.8.5*

This app used to be terrible but it has come a long way. It’s now very good.

### 5/5 — Adax Neon Wi-Fi

*2021-08-02, version 3.8.2*

### 5/5 — Works great!

*2021-07-24, version 3.8.2*

The app works well ans I was able to easily setup all my heaters which look very nice BTW.

### 5/5 — Simple & excellent

*2020-08-14, version 3.4.1*

Not sure why others are having difficulty but the App is mega simple to use. Even the step by step book instructions perfectly mimic / illustrate the steps. Remember to select the 2.4ghz (not 5ghz) Wi-Fi option which it clearly states. Also, loving how the packaging has the measured / perforated screw holes when you flip open the box (ready to go). Box flip you can put a spirit level to double check level. Excellently though our end to end including the app.

### 5/5 — Version 3.2.6 is a big improvement

*2020-04-26, version 3.2.6*

Updated to the new version app 3.2.6 which is a big improvement. Manually switching between on & away is now near-instantaneous. Apparently now works with Google Home, waiting for Amazon Echo integration.

### 4/5 — Grate product

*2020-12-08, version 3.6.0*

I would love to see HomeKit integration.

I don’t like that I can’t integrate heater in Google Home with Apple login credentials.

### 4/5 — Good app with some features to add it would be even better

*2020-10-30, version 3.6.0*

The thermostat are great, also the app. I like the new feature which says how much electricity have you spent.
I would add the following features:
- Set Away mode automatically depending on the phone localisation. So if all the members of the house are away it changes automatically to away mode.
- Turn off the thermostat lights when sleep mode, as an option. The (temperature) lights are really annoying at night if the thermostat are in the bedrooms. At least it should be possible decrease these during the sleep mode.
- Connection with IFTTT would be also great.
- When you create a schedule, it isn’t shared in the rest of the devices, you have to create it individually. That’s really annoying if you want to create just one for all the devices, it should be able to see it in all the devices.

### 4/5 — Great heaters, product needs a bit more development

*2017-12-05*

I have three Adax heaters and cannot fault them. I bought them because they look great and because they can be controlled by Wi-fi. The app is okay. The UX is not bad but not highly intuitive. The jargon can be confusing and it’s not straight forward to program. It is not fully smart either. What would make this app really good is if it managed to work with Siri, not to mention Apple Home. Some information on what things mean and explain what the recommended temperatures should be are things that don’t take up much development and easy to implement on the next version. I felt that the new version’s gradient background effect was a bit ‘un-modern’ when compared to the look of the actual heaters but that probably boils down to personal preferences. I look forward to the next release.
