Update after the developers response: this is at best a gimmick. The "for apps" function doesn't work. Refreshed and then they were gone. Every time after that I’ve loaded Pinterest the ads are back. I tested a website, a recipe blog that is usually covered with ads. There were still ads on the side but none in the middle of the blog post. Adblock claims it blocked over 4k ads. After visiting one website? I don’t think so. Which kinda begs privacy concerns. I just want the annoying ads to stop or at least become minimized so they don’t interfere.
