I love that the developers managed to balance privacy concerns with syncing functions. It's clear they spend a lot of time thinking about this issue. Apple's contacts app is okay but addappt's automatic sync capabilities are much more user friendly especially when you have a lot of contacts and it becomes hard to keep them up to date. I still had them in my phone so that was not an issue, but then I changed phones and lost access to most of my contacts. The latest version includes 3D Touch functionality with 2 key actions: share and create a new contact, which makes contact sharing SO easy! And if you add an ICE (In Case of Emergency), it will appear on 3D Touch, as well as Today screen (which appears on locked screen, in the case of emergency.) Freeze and quits on iPhone X. ### 1/5 — 0 if I could- If you value your contact list, DON'T use this app. *2016-08-09, version 2.7.1* I downloaded this app to make sure it was as easy and efficient as it claimed to be. The reviews gave me high hopes. I decided I would give it a try. Since I had lots of duplicates to clean up first, I uninstalled the app. When I went to my contact list to begin the clean up process, my contacts were GONE. (Yes I had a backup, but that doesn't excuse the fact that this app had caused my current list to disappear). I contacted the creator only to be told that "addappt DOESN'T touch/edit any of my contacts unless they are users of the service and are my connections or that I MUST HAVE DELETED THEM WITHIN THE APP". What?? Your kidding me, right?? It was installed long enough for me to check out the UI. If you value your contact list, DON'T use this app. ### 3/5 — Remove the extra step needed to see the contacts *2013-02-09, version 1.2.1* When we start this app, we first see a screen with four options - Me, Pending Connections, addappted and All Contacts. To see the list of contacts, we have to click on All Contacts. This extra step should be removed. Good: Favorites/Recents at the top Remembering how I last interacted with people Swipe right for quick actions Great customer service Meh: "Tapp" and "invite" buttons all over the place (especially irksome that it uses up valuable space in the quick action menu) Wants me to verify all my email addresses (no thanks) Rough start for me (YMMV) as it essentially duplicated the "me" contact I think I would literally pay $20 for this app if I could kill off all the social features, and their associated buttons, and just use it as a vastly improved address book. ### 4/5 — This app is almost perfect... *2014-05-21, version 1.6* This app is my primary contact manager. It was missing the telephone number labels and the vendor fixed this promptly which makes this app a must have. The only thing missing is the ability to unlink a contact that you have previously invited to connect with you through this app. Once they fix that issue I will review this app again and give it the 5 stars it deserves. Thanks, addappt, for creating this must-have app. ### 4/5 — 5 stars coming!! *2012-12-18, version 1.2.1* FINALLY, a good app that allows you to see contacts photos and not just names. Thank God! I'm not giving this five stars yet because I noticed two things – first, when you press a letter on the alphabet to the right of the entries (very nice that I’ve finally found an app that shows PHOTOS of contacts, by the way!), it doesn’t function as expected. For example, I press “J” to go to the J’s and it goes back to “A”. I press “R” to go to the R’s and it goes to “G”. My contacts are all sorted and entered properly and in the stock contact app it jumps to the right letter. Also the videocamera icon under a contact doesn’t give the option to Facetime If one is using Microsoft exchange… That should be fixed as well. Other than that, great! It is miles above the Apple contacts app and others I have tried. The recent version (and oS11) have created some potholes for the developer but I have been extremely impressed how they have responded. Very quick to address the issues and have come out with an update and also working on another one to address the issues. Try it (have a bit of patience) and you will not be disappointed. I absolutely love that it syncs my data back to the native Contacts app. Also, switching contacts to a different group is super fast and easy, a cumbersome task on the native app by Apple. I will use it for business: lead follow up at my fingertips and moving them down the sales process from cold to warm to hot to open deals. Getting an app that syncs/messes with your contact information can be scary. Just read the horror stories of data corruption posted on the reviews for other apps. Not here. If I could hug the developers, I would.
