### 3/5 — No prices?

*2025-01-23, version 1.4.11*

OK. I get overwhelmed by apps and it takes a lot for me to focus enough to get it set up so I can actuly try it out. 7 days is a tight commitment to make that decision but that's not the issue.

The issue is I can't see how much it's going to cost before I commit. I can pay monthly and I can pay yearly, and paying yearly saves 33%, but 33% of what?

Also, it doesn't mention in-app purchases in the app store which feels a little cheaty. Those things combined already have your app starting off on two wrong feet over a pretty easy fix. Just be transparent about the price.

### 3/5 — Ok, but not fully functional

*2025-01-03*

I love the idea of this app. I even started a subscription for it. But I am not getting enough notifications for it to be useful and every time I open it, it asks for me to get a subscription, which I already have! I really wanted this app to work out but it needs more TLC.

### 3/5 — I need help

*2024-12-05, version 1.4.10*

I cannot access the app after buying a subscription, but testing it with another temporary account does. I don’t know why but it opens, closes, changes colour and opens, then goes back to the pricing selection even though I bought it

Addie seems like a good app for my adhd but I can’t give it a feasible rating until I actually use the app

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks :)

### 4/5 — Great so far…

*2024-08-17, version 1.3.2*

I say so far, because… well… ADHD. Things tend to start well when they’re new, shiny and exciting, but as is very typical of ADHD and in particular my personal ADHD experience, things tend to dry out a little. I’ve been using this just over a week now, and it’s still working for me just now.
Things I love:
The simple easy tasks shown as cards that you flip through. Means I can either go with the priority task, or chose another one that takes my fancy.
The simplicity of creating the task. I love the AI option, Addie Magic. I use it to start me off with tast break downs then I adjust it to my situation.
The reminders and rewards. Rewards are always good.
Maybe once the “journal” aspect of the app is up and running, you could start earning different type fonts, pens or stickers for your journal.
There’s a few improvements and updates that I know are in the pipeline from the apps news and info pages - lots of which are really exciting so I can’t wait for those features.
A massive thing for me would be the ability to share my subscription with my family.
Currently, I can just about justify the tenner a month I’m paying for me. But I know both my kids, one ADHD the other AuDHD would LOVE this app. I can’t afford to pay for all three though. I either sneak it and log them in under my name - which is a) cheeky and b) messes up my to-do list and stats and c) doesn’t give them their own list and stats.
Or…
I buy three subscriptions! Sorry, but other things like the food shop and bills come at a higher priority.

So, can you do a family option subscription that is a reasonable and affordable price asap. Or make it available under Apple Arcade if such a thing is possible. That would be bloody brilliant. Then, we could challenge each other and up the gaming ante and really get stuff done!

I’d also love it if you could combine this with something like the GEMs programme. Recording three things you’re thankful for in a simple easy to access way would be a good boost for mental well being. Make it simple with the path or least resistance and you’re on to a winner.

Thanks so far for a good app.

### 3/5 — Potential

*2024-08-10, version 1.3.2*

I think the Home Screen is very enticing and the deck of cards layout is really positive for sorting through your tasks. I think trackers should be more visible so you don’t have to scroll to get to them and I also think at the price point, I would want some kind of calendar feature to justify it. I think it would also be positive to be able to add your own trackers.

I have been going through all the productivity apps and I’m not actually adverse to paying for them, but I feel in this case it doesn’t tick enough boxes for me to do so. There also isn’t a road map in regards to future updates, and everything I have found is 6months+ old.

### 2/5 — Potential

*2024-01-06*

This app has a lot of potential; I love the concept! Unfortunately it seems like there are still some bugs to work out. I put all my tasks in for the day but when I reopened the app, they were all gone but one.

I’ll hang onto it and keep an eye open for updates. I really do look forward to using this app when it’s finished! At that time I’m sure I’ll be able to leave a 5 star review.

**Developer response:** Hi there,

Thanks for your feedback and good to hear you're seeing some potential with the app. We're working hard to improve everyday, so please keep the feedback coming - admin@addieapp.com

Thanks,
Phil (CEO @ Addie)

### 4/5 — Great app

*2023-11-30, version 1.1.7*

Having been diagnosed with combined type ADHD a few months ago, this app contains everything I had separate apps for so I can organise my tasks and things in one place,

The only downside is that, I have music playing near enough constantly, the sound that plays when you complete a task stops the music and I have to restart it, otherwise this app has been helping me a lot the past week, worth the subscription.

### 4/5 — Lots of positives but needs some improvements

*2023-08-27, version 1.1.7*

Firstly I really enjoyed using Addie when I had a subscription. I love the gamification concept and the use of ML to generate subtasks, estimate time etc. It is certainly built with ADHD in mind, unlike some other apps which target vulnerable ADHDers but are not useful for us

It was really good for me to create a big task (or even just “before bed tasks”) and fire in subtasks and it would help me stay focussed on the task. It was also helpful to see how long I estimate (or underestimate) tasks to take.

The only downside is the cost of the subscription. The app is a bit buggy and doesn’t have features advanced enough to justify £10 per month. I’ve got enough other vital subscriptions so I just couldn’t justify it. I appreciate app developers and employees need to be paid however so I might suggest you have a good fremium version, or have ads or partnerships to lower the cost of subscription or work on more advanced features so people are happy to pay for it.

### 2/5 — Great but unusable

*2023-08-04, version 1.1.3*

Downloaded today and sadly ready to delete it already. It’s a great idea but is slow and you can’t access the buttons you need as they don’t all fit on the page and the app doesn’t scroll. For example I can’t press the time button when setting a date and time in tasks so it always sets it at the time I enter the task and trying to set custom repeats you can only see up till Wednesday and then the buttons are inaccessible.

### 2/5 — Great idea but doesn’t work

*2023-07-01*

Downloaded the first day it came out. It’s been nothing but issues. They might fix one thing but then makes the rest of the app completely unusable. I’ve had a support ticket for 2 months and they just don’t respond anymore. Could never pay something that is so unusable.

**Developer response:** Hi there. Huge apologies for what sounds like a frustrating experience from start to finish. There's no good reason to have kept you waiting so long to have your issues resolved. I can't apologise enough. If you'd like to email us at hello@addieapp.com with some more details of your issues, I'd like to personally ensure we do everything we can to improve your experience. My apologies again and I hope to hear from you again soon.

### 2/5 — Doesn’t work

*2023-06-30, version 1.1.0*

It’s just another app that claims to help by making to do lists fun but in reality you have to spend time filling it in, it’s reliant on you remembering to set tasks etc and checking it over and over. It also capitalises on the adhd trait of impulsive spending by making you do a weeks free trial where it can count on you forgetting and then suddenly playing for a years worth of something you won’t use past the first 2 days. I added an extra star because the art is cute and the app is colourful.

### 1/5 — Great idea but way too buggy

*2023-06-25, version 1.1.0*

I love the idea but the app is full of bugs (possibly due to recent iOS update?). Giving me a black screen, flashing, or just no response whatsoever.

### 1/5 — Boring and basic

*2023-06-03, version 1.0.10*

Super basic and boring daily planner app that for some reason costs $15 a month. Not tailored to ADHD at all, just a daily planning app that’s more basic than the free options.

### 1/5 — Why?

*2023-05-28, version 1.0.10*

I just don’t understand why this needs to be so expensive? It’s an excellent idea but 80 quid a year just makes it not worth it

### 1/5 — Not free at all!

*2023-05-27, version 1.0.10*

Very misleading. States app is free with in app purchases. I registered and verified email then was taken to ‘choose your package’ page.
Only free for 7 days then either £10/month or £80 year!
Cancel in your free trial if you want….yeah cos that’s something that people with ADHD will remember/bother to do!!
Deleted straight away.
Really….do better.

### 1/5 — lags

*2023-05-20*

i could barley sign up because the app wouldn’t stop lagging, great concept but needs to be fixed.

**Developer response:** Hi there. I'm so sorry to hear this. We really appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your issues. We have fixed a few initial bugs that we became aware of, but we'd love to hear more details if you wouldn't mind dropping us an email at hello@addieapp.com. Thanks for your patience.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Charged full price when I thought I was getting a trial

*2025-10-08*

Addie magic has never worked, recurring tasks never recur, the restore purchase button is plain text so I cannot access any premium features (if they even worked), emails to developers bounce back, and the websites are all nonexistent! This app has clearly been shut down but the App Store hasn’t removed it! Google’s App Store has already taken it down, but the apple App Store won’t even refund me the $60 I paid when I thought I was signing up for a free trial. Awful experience.

### 1/5 — Help!

*2025-01-26, version 1.4.11*

Every time I try and log in it takes me to the choose a package page even though I’ve had the subscription for a month. I can’t log in to get support and I won’t be continuing to pay for a subscription for an app I can’t even use. Help!

### 1/5 — Daylight robbery

*2024-12-11, version 1.4.10*

That’s absolutely ridiculous making people pay to be able to live a life they can manage more easily. The app is supposed to help people but they make you pay a fortune . I’m sure the app is good but still can’t get over the payment

### 1/5 — Payment but still offering a free trial everytime log in and all lists disappeared! No admin contact

*2024-12-10, version 1.4.10*

I really wanted to give this a try. The free trial was great and worked up to payment. Every time I log in it offers the free trial and I have to click free trial and then it says I have a subscription and logs me in. Every 7 days my lists disappear, I have emailed 5 times to admin from different emails starting from 17/11 and still had no responses to a single email for support or a refund as I can’t use this app at all. I suspect it’s a bug, however if it can’t be used and there’s no admin response, it’s pointless. Sadly I will be looking elsewhere.

### 1/5 — Poor Support

*2024-09-09, version 1.3.2*

I was keen to try the app functions; set up a few tasks and then noticed timezone issues impacted its calendar. That’s when the frustration began with its AI Help Bot. So I went exploring through the app in search of what I needed, without success. Immediately cancelled subscription - not worth the stress and poor support.

### 1/5 — Addie

*2024-08-30, version 1.3.2*

I like the format but it’s very, very expensive for the parts I use. And I realised today that tasks with a specified date for completion, if not completed that day, sometimes vanish without a trace. No amount of tinkering with filters will bring them back. My heart has sunk because I was relying on this to remember and there will be tasks that have simply gone undone and will stay that way until I’m rumbled

### 1/5 — Unfortunately pay guarded

*2024-08-19, version 1.3.2*

Requires subscription which is disappointing. I understand why though- paying developers. Perhaps they could offer a completely free version to help more people interact with the app as there is only one other rating.

### 1/5 — Scam

*2024-03-23, version 1.3.2*

Awful, I payed for a subscription and wanted the free trial so cancelled it before the free trial was over but I haven’t got my money back. I tried to contact them by email and phone number but none have responded. The app doesn’t even work after I payed for it! It’s awful and I’m trying to get my money back 😭 please don’t pay for this app 😭

### 1/5 — Avoid!!!!!Not nice Addie!

*2024-02-01, version 1.3.2*

I had installed this app to give it a go and use the free trial to then decide which app was fitting the best my needs.I had to note it on the calendar (of course) when to unsubscribe. It says it’s a 7 days free trial, actually it’s not.The payment was pending when I woke up on the 6th day (but I didn’t checked), I unsubscribed that morning thinking everything was good, I end up not be able to use the app (because I unsubscribed) and being charged (far too much for what it is). Contact the costumer service that make the refund so awkward that I managed just to get the use of the app. Honestly shame on you!!!
Taking the piss out of ADHD people!

### 1/5 — Not for me

*2023-10-05, version 1.1.7*

Cute but too expensive, similar and cheaper options available elsewhere

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — So worth it!

*2024-12-20*

This has everything I was looking for in an app to help me get organised in the overwhelm! I can write my own tasks, the app has AI to help break it down into smaller tasks and you can set a timer to get it done! And then you get points! The fact the will also refund if you miss the end of the free trial means they get us well haha!

### 5/5 — Love the swiping

*2024-11-11, version 1.3.2*

Nice app. The task swiping is fun. Not seen that before. Makes my ADHD brain think differently, which is great. Would like routines but it says that is coming soon, so happy to wait.

### 5/5 — Addie has become my phone based best friend!

*2023-08-13, version 1.1.3*

I had heard Laura (Addie Community Manager) talking about it on TikTok and had eagerly anticipated it being available so as soon as it was I downloaded it for the free trial. This is my one minor negative, because I downloaded it and then promptly didn’t use it until the free trial was almost ending 🙈 but I appreciate a longer free trial may not make commercial sense. Laura had done such a good job of promoting Addie and it was significantly cheaper for a year than other adhd apps so I took the plunge and paid for the annual subscription.

It’s love. Addie feels like a adhd cheerleader in my pocket, and I find myself raving about it to anyone who will listen. I’m very excited by the upcoming new features, and I know I’d be lost with Addie now.

### 5/5 — fantastic!!!

*2023-07-19*

ignore the bad reviews, this team clearly worked hard to fix up the app because I haven't had a single issue. diagnosed at age 5 and now 26, this app is one of the best to actually help with my executive dysfunction instead of just staring at a calendar. love it!!!

**Developer response:** Hello! Reading your lovely comments has really made my day. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts. Your support and friendship mean so much, and we're just so happy you find the app to be so helpful. Thanks again!

### 5/5 — Incredibly easy to set up, nice design

*2023-05-15, version 1.0.8*

I’ve recently started to use the app, and it was really easy to set up. I particularly like the friendly design too. I can already see it’s going to help me with the day to day. Great to see it’s supported by the ADHD foundation too.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2023-05-15, version 1.0.8*

This has been great for my son. Easy to use and really helps

### 5/5 — Addie is a game changer

*2023-05-15, version 1.0.8*

Its intuitive task management system breaks down large tasks into manageable parts, eliminating overwhelm. Since using Addie, I've noticed a significant boost in productivity and overall well-being. It's a user-friendly, effective tool that I can't recommend enough!

### 5/5 — Organised!

*2023-05-15, version 1.0.8*

An amazing app to get organised AND rewarded - worth every penny and looking forward to what the team will build in the future!

### 5/5 — Great app, very useful!

*2023-05-15, version 1.0.8*

Definitely worth a download, great app that’s easy to use.

*2023-05-15, version 1.0.8*

I’ve been struggling for years and now I can see the light with this app. It’s really going to help me and I’m excited to see what’s next with Addie. Any help is good help! Thank you!
