I tried a few similar apps, some with more functionality, and this was least fuss and easiest for an occasional, light user. Ideally, I’d like the edit screen to allow me to amend a wrong number rather than just delete the line (so that my tape would be in the right order). It would get five stars if it had that function. My only complaint is, I would love to have a true traditional (mechanical) adding machine sounds when I hit the punch keys or hit the total key. Purchase went through fine but upgrade never happened. Tried restore but nothing. tried to repurchase, but app store says it was already purchased and would be restored. Never happened. Now that you have Adding Tape II it is asking that I purchase the pro version to avoid the ads. I feel that it should have automatically updated me without the ads since I’ve already paid for version 1. ### 2/5 — Works like an old Heward Packard calculator *2017-05-11* Remember the old Heward Packard calculators that were black and gold and you had to hit the + and - sign the opposite way most people think? that's how this works. I believe it's how math is done in Europe it any rate I'm too old to rethink how to add and subtract delete **Developer response:** Sorry for the confusion. The app is modeled after and Adding Machine - not a calculator. The behavior of each is different. ### 3/5 — Subtracting issue *2017-01-28, version 1.32* When trying to subtract it negates the first number. For example 750 - 25= -775 instead of 725.
