### 2/5 — I really want this to work but I hate it.

*2026-02-19*

The wheel format for the day is exactly what I want. But the only way to make this app work is to allow full access to my calendar and any event I put in Weel gets added to my actual calendar too. I share my calendar with my husband and I wanted a scheduling app that’s JUST FOR ME FOR MY OWN DAY. it won’t allow me to add any event that’s not tied to my calendar and I freaking hate that. If you don’t allow full access or any access to calendars, it won’t even let you add any event to your schedule. Those should be optional features. Good grief.

**Developer response:** Hello! So sorry this has been so frustrating for you! The reason we must sync with an apple calendar is so that none of your personal data is stored in Weel. Thankfully, there is an easy fix to your problem. Simply add another calendar to apple calendars that is not shared with your husband. To do this, go into apple calendars, tap the calendar icon in the bottom right corner, scroll to the bottom and then add a calendar. This way you can have one calendar you share with your husband and one just for you. This calendar will automatically be added to your Weel app. To hide the calendar you share with your husband, simply open settings in Weel, and tap the eye icon next to the shared calendar. Or you can keep both of them visible and add shared events to one and personal events to the other. Please reach out to info@weelplanner.app if you have any further questions. - Shay from Weel

### 2/5 — Great concept, poorly executed

*2026-01-07*

I accepted the free trial to have access to the “premium” features, which are really just basic features like repeating events, so you’re forced to subscribe, and immediately realized this app isn’t worth a dime. Upon setting up my first event, work, I noticed that “travel time” is only accounted for at the beginning of the event. Apparently at the end of the event you just teleport home. Second thing I noticed is that there’s no option for an event to repeat a couple times a week, it’s either every weekday or you’re creating a new event for each day. These two issues right away signaled that this is just a money grab and isn’t thought through in the least bit. It’s 2026, apps aren’t THAT hard to create these days. Basic functionality shouldn’t be this bad.

**Developer response:** Hello! We're sorry that Weel hasn't worked out for you. Our intention is definitely not to money grab, which is why the app is available completely for free. Upgrading to premium does allow you to have unlimited calendars displayed on Weel, and numerous added features such as: color coded events, critical alarms, adding lists to an event, changing the app to light mode, and travel time. We are currently working on adding travel time from an event and should have that up and running soon! Our options for repeating an event are: Never, everyday, every week day, every week, every two weeks, every month and every year. Being able to repeat an event specific days of the week is a great idea! We'll look into adding that in future updates. Thanks so much for the feedback!

### 2/5 — Please do better

*2025-11-17, version 1.3.0*

This app would be amazing if it wasn't for all the little issues. The app often freezes and I feel like it lacks certain features. Yes it plays nice with other apps like tick tick but there's such a long route to get there the apps "synced". I love the wheel but why cant have that on our apple watch as well? I fr think this app has potential for someone like me who has ADHD but it's not worth a $149 life time subscription. A bit bold of a price for something that seems very half baked.

### 4/5 — Helpful

*2025-11-06, version 1.3.0*

This app is very helpful for me and my ADHD. It’s more capable of keeping my attention. The customer service has also been amazingly helpful so far

### 4/5 — Great tool

*2025-07-24, version 1.2.7*

This has been a VERY useful tool for me. When I fill it out it’s great, but I do still struggle with always filling it out. There’s some quirks to how it functions that I had to get used to, but the benefits outweigh the clunkiness IMO.

### 5/5 — So far so good

*2025-06-18, version 1.2.7*

Really like this app design and UI/UX, top notch. The workflow, intuitive features are easy to pick up and use effectively. Have been using about 3 weeks now. If anything goes sideways will update my review.

### 2/5 — Unable to use

*2025-06-03, version 1.2.6*

I am unable to use this at the moment. My employer is very security conscious and only allows access to the exchange server on mobile devices through a sandboxed app called Intune. My personal calendar is also on a privacy host, Proton, which doesn’t (yet?) integrate with iOS calendar. I was hoping to give this a try but it doesn’t make much sense to create a fake calendar just to try it.

### 5/5 — Brilliant design for ADHD people

*2025-05-11, version 1.2.6*

Time blindness is the term for having an impaired sense of time—how long things take, how much time has passed, or how much time is available. This leads to chronic lateness, task mismanagement, and difficulty with future planning or urgency.

A 24h (vs 12h) clock face is an ingenious way of visually seeing time. It externally signals what a time-blind person can’t intuitively grasp.

Cognitively it’s understood but it remains just an abstraction. It doesn’t change behaviour.

Visualising two tracks of time blocks represented over the whole 24h period is simply brilliant.

### 5/5 — Unique way to visualize time!

*2025-05-05, version 1.2.5*

I’ve tried a lot of calendar apps, and generally, they’re all great! But Weel really stands out to me with its unique visualization, stacked rings for different calendars — I have to manage at least 3 different calendars so it really helps to separate work & personal life!

### 3/5 — Troubles with syncing with calendars

*2025-05-01, version 1.2.5*

The request for syncing the app with apple calendar or else is not coming up.

### 5/5 — The best

*2025-04-30, version 1.2.5*

AWESOME for my day/week planning needs by the hour + VISUALIZING the time I have which is the primary roadblock to my staying on track. Most importantly, the developers are so, so kind! Get this!

### 5/5 — Wheel

*2025-04-29, version 1.2.5*

Wheel has been instrumental in getting my time management under control.

### 5/5 — Underrated!

*2025-04-28, version 1.2.4*

Maybe could be a bit more aesthetically pleasing but love the functionality!

### 5/5 — amazing concept, unfortunately a little buggy

*2025-03-11, version 1.2.3*

Circular Calendars are the future.
Time is continuous.
When I discovered PiCal I was mindblown by the concept. It looks amazing and works great at first sight. Unfortunately I encountered a few glitches and app crashes and was frustrated. So I contacted the developer on WhatsApp and have to say I am amazed by the support.
The team is small but they make an effort to improve.

Giving the full 5 stars as soon as I feel it’s stable.

— Update 11.03.25

I have been using the app on a daily base for longer than a year.
I would love to give five stars but unfortunately I have to use it in conjunction with other calendar apps because of some missing features and bugs.
Unfortunately there are also still some bugs that are not fixed so I am giving it 3 stars only.
The worst is a bug that can be reproduced with editing recurring calendar events.

### 5/5 — I bought an Apple Watch to use this

*2025-02-26, version 1.2.1*

Not lying, love it and the integration between devices. 10/10

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Paywall Slop

*2026-06-04, version 1.3.1*

Good concept until you realize necessary features like “event colors” are locked behind a paywall… just manure it free with ads or figure out a way to sell a subscription without scummy tactics.

### 1/5 — Why A Subscription?!?

*2026-05-31, version 1.3.1*

The things that you’re offering like different colored events does not in any way warrant a subscription! I don’t care if it’s only 5 a month, this is one time purchase stuff at best. Nothing you’re offering requires constant maintenance on your end, like if you were to provide a cloud based service of your own. This app requires none of that from you, and so why do you ask us to pay you regularly??? Quit being greedy!

### 1/5 — Nope

*2025-10-15, version 1.3.0*

Aggressively asks for money, refuses to function without giving up personal calendar data.

### 1/5 — Not functioning

*2025-08-27, version 1.2.9*

i wanted to like this so badly but it's not syncing my calendars. I have uninstalled and re installed, changed perms, and more but it shows meetings i've deleted on google cal, picks and shows only some events from all my calendars, and freezes so often.

### 1/5 — Far too expensive

*2025-06-21, version 1.2.7*

Awesome concept. But just too expensive for a phone app in todays economic climate. Read the room.

### 1/5 — Bulls ADHD

*2024-11-23, version 1.2.1*

I thought I would like. To confusing. From someone with real ADHD.

### 1/5 — Can’t access app even though I have payed annually

*2024-09-01, version 1.1.7*

My subscription ends in 2025 - but the app doesn’t let me use it - can someone help me access it please

### 1/5 — Good idea but super buggy

*2023-09-23*

Starting the trial for a week now and it’s been so buggy. I put down certain tasks and events for a certain time and date (today) and it never shows up on any of the rings. It takes a second try to put something down, finally. Then upon trying to see the event for the day, I’ll scroll to today on the bottom list and yet, the ring on top displays the ring for yesterday. How is a planner useful if it doesn’t even show the day you’re focused on? And then I tried deleting an event using the “delete event” link in the corner and…it’s still there. Why would I want to drop money for this?

**Developer response:** Oddomission, Thanks for letting us know. The stability of this app is a major priority for us. Could you check what iOS version you're on? The app should work fine if you're using iOS 16.4 or newer. If these issues persist despite that, drop us an email and we'll look into it asap! info@pical.app

### 1/5 — Pricing is a joke

*2023-05-31, version 0.9.28*

Although not necessary at all to purchase the subscription to use the app (as far as I can tell) the fact that it’s priced (CAD$) $10/m, $50/y, or $130/life is absurd. Asides from the prices, having a subscription model for an app like this is also a bit much.

### 1/5 — Just downloaded this app is awful for my adhd

*2023-02-28, version 0.9.21*

I’ve only had this app on for like 30 minutes( barely got one alarm set, in that time)i’m just gonna leave it as is for the couple alarms and see how it works but it was difficult getting the alarms on. I have severe ADHD and dyslexia. It’s not helpful at all. It made it more frustrating for me. It kept changing the dates in the times and I just wasted Hella time putting on multiple alarms for my mom‘s home health care. She just got out of the hospital so I thought I’d download this app for help ,pointless for ADHD anyways. Very frustrating unfortunately.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best Calendar App

*2026-05-23, version 1.3.1*

The Smartest visualization of your day’s activities/habits and meetings in a 24hr clock/circular format. A refreshing take on your time, in a calendar & todo app in one hybrid. Worth a look for sure.

### 5/5 — Organised

*2026-05-11, version 1.3.1*

Fantastic app

### 5/5 — Maybe we need something different

*2026-02-13*

I’ve been struggling to find anything that will help me orient myself to time. I have been using this for a few days, and I still have some ways to go in implementing it. However, for the first time I can see myself identifying lapses in a day between calendar events and logging what I have actually done. That evidence is helpful in understanding what does and does not work. I’m currently sitting at a restaurant and saw the dial post to 7pm. it helped me understand I have two more hours before the time I would typically want to crawl in bed and read a book (when I’m not working late nights bc dopamine surge). So, I was able to think.. how do I want to spend it? All of this to say, thanks for helping me feel a flash of hope. Would really love to connect with the developers to see how I can make this stick.

### 5/5 — Haven’t even tried it yet

*2026-01-25, version 1.3.1*

Just giving 5 stars for the other unfair reviews. I know how damaging they can be :(

Thanks for offering a free option for low income people, that other guy was out of line I think.

I sympathise with his frustration though. It’s so rare to see ADHD “friendly” apps that do provide accessible payment options and don’t take advantage of people with ADHD. We are really susceptible to deceptive and manipulative IAPs. Endel appalled me in this regard… same for Headspace and many others.

Thanks again and all the best with your app and future endeavours 🙏 😊

### 5/5 — my favorite app

*2026-01-08, version 1.3.1*

I honestly really love the weel app!! I take any opportunity to talk about this app to everyone I am friends with. I have used weel every single day of my undergrad experience, but I was really worried about being able to afford it now that I have started graduate school. The team was so kind and sent me a discount code for the year that will seriously make such a big difference!!!! I am eternally grateful and I love this app even more now. Sometimes there are some little bugs and glitches but I love this app too much to complain. 💗

### 5/5 — started well on free version

*2025-12-03, version 1.3.1*

giving this 5 stars for concept and free version - and I like I can run this for a while to see if I use it consistently - ADHD impulsivity and novelty seeking means I need to change up my planners. I used Tiimo successfully for years on subscription but it is too non intuitive for me now. I'm also dyslexic and weel features I like so far are the touch and move to start an entry, slider to adjust time, optional tasklist (I will only use on priority events to avoid clutter) but mostly just the WHEEL - I cannot understand why this is not a default layout for planners as even neurotypicals tend to see time as moving forwards and I have been looking for a circle planner for a long time (I would also like month and year circles as I work in a job with long run times on cycles of deadlines). Also I like weel month shows how full I have made days so I can keep track of over scheduling once I added sleep time too.

### 5/5 — Intuitive Hilfreiche App

*2025-10-28, version 1.3.0*

Die App macht in der Bedienung Spaß und regt zum Planen an.

Mit der Version fürs IPhone bin ich sehr zu frieden.

### 5/5 — Perfect interface for time blocking method

*2025-10-16, version 1.3.0*

I’ve been building and tweaking my calendars for years to find something that works for me. Since a while I’ve been using a time blocking method that I’m still adjusting to fit my natural workflow. Weel is the best interface for this method I’ve found so far - I love how smooth and easy it is to use. It’s visually clean and beautiful - I see all the most important information at once without overwhelm, which give me also instant clues how to adapt my schedule further, that otherwise I’d miss in Google calendar. The setup was quick and straightforward for my impatient mind. Highly recommended.

### 5/5 — My Homeschooling Assistant

*2025-08-03, version 1.2.8*

The biggest challenge in Homeschooling my time blind daughter was keeping her on task. She has responded so well to having the Weel wheel on the big screen of my laptop. She doesn’t need to ask me what the time is or what task she should be on as it’s a live view and shows her exactly where she’s at. She’s 9 years old and her primary distraction being her brother is 1. My husband works away 3 months at a time so my stress levels were peaking. Now we share the time pressure together, she’s always on time if not finishing earlier so she gets her ‘break’ between tasks. She loves the colours as well we have key learning in red and play in blue etc.

### 5/5 — Love it.

*2025-06-22, version 1.2.7*

Excellent app, watch face could be better.
