### 2/5 — Daily treatment ruined by ridiculous difficulty spike.

*2022-04-19, version 1.3*

In sequencing, which appears after level 80, the goal is to press the button at a fixed time interval within 10% of a second’s accuracy. If you press too soon - before 00:00 - or too late - after 00:10 - of each icon appearing (which you will be doing constantly), you will fail the level and will have to repeat it.

To the developers - I have ADHD, not wristwatch-level time accuracy. Two days ago I was completing my daily treatment within 10 minutes - I’ve been sitting here on level 90 of sequencing for an hour. You really must increase the leniency of sequencing, it’s basically pot luck as is and I cannot afford to put this much time into completing my daily treatment.

### 3/5 — Fatal flaw for me

*2018-05-07, version 1.3*

If you’re unaware, this app is essentially a series of games designed to help people with ADHD focus. The gameplay consists of grid with 9 squares between which various shapes of various colors jump. Users must press a button on the screen each time the color, shape, or grid location changes. At the start of each level the user is given a specific set of instruction (e.g. don’t tap blue or orange shapes, don’t tap after a square or circle, etc.). Users are given a score based on their accuracy and timing, and users need to attain a minimum score (usually 65%) to move onto the next level. Users do not have the ability to skip levels. The recommended way to achieve the best results with this app is to complete a certain number of levels each day. It works out to roughly 15-20 minutes depending on accuracy.

For the most part, I think this game is helpful. It forces users to shut out distractions and focus on the game.

However, towards later levels (>level 60), the game introduces a new challenge. For certain levels, users are told ahead of time that the shape will be static and only the grid location of the shape (a drum) and color will change. Users are also told that the shape will change ever x.x seconds. The goal of these levels are to anticipate the timing of the change and tap the on-screen button as quickly as possible.

For me, this represents a huge problem. Because while I have been forcing myself to focus on the game, I have zero sense of timing or rhythm. What’s worse is that these levels have a very high bar to pass. It typically takes me between .2 and .3 seconds to tap the screen after the drum shape changes color or location. Even without making any mistakes (I.e. pressing the button too soon) I can only score 59% with .2-.3 second response times. For me, this isn’t an issue of focus, which is what I believe this game is meant to test and improve, I am completely focused on the game.

It has been taking me upwards of 20 times to pass each rhythm level, so what was 15-20 minutes of play has become 45-60 minutes. It is so frustrating and discouraging to play these levels. My frustration is compounded by the inability to skip problem levels. I don’t know if I will be able to continue playing the game. And I can’t recommend this game until a change to scoring/the ability to skip levels is made.

### 2/5 — Level 90 time limit too low

*2017-03-19, version 1.3*

If the goal is to use the app daily, the required reaction time of 0.09 seconds on level 90 has made it impossible to advance and ruined an otherwise good app for me.

### 4/5 — Would give it a five star

*2017-02-13, version 1.3*

...if I verified the scientific claims and they are true.

### 2/5 — I would love this app--if I could use it :(

*2016-03-10, version 1.1.2*

For some, this may be the perfect app. I hoped this would apply to me as well, but a couple issues have made me avoid the app altogether.

ADHD is usually seen as coming with a hunger for stimulus, but there are a decent portion of us where the opposite applies. Case & point, that "incorrect answer" buzzer that startles me 100% of the time. It's loud, abrasive, distracting, and soon I'm more concerned with avoiding it than actually doing the activities. I'm admittedly a bit of a weenie with games, even countdown timers render things unplayable for me, but this is far beyond that. It is a negative punishment that only reinforces against participation.

Would it be too difficult to implement an additional setting to either change the sound or muffle it? If the devs implemented at least this I would be so happy.

A similar issue that keeps me from using is the pressure to get progressively higher scores, otherwise your effort means nothing. I liked in the beginning how achievable it was, and gradually increasing difficulty is great. The issue is that it is not at the user's pace (even or especially after a long break from use). The player is forced to acclimate to the task, and it honestly brings me down when my best efforts result in only a bunch of awful buzzer noises and the umpteenth "sorry, all your time doing exercises don't count; not because you didn't do them, but because you didn't improve as much as was requested of you"

It doesn't feel fair, it takes away any remaining fun or interest, and thus the app feels more like a punishment I'll never get out of.

### 3/5 — Good, but not great

*2015-12-01, version 1.1.2*

Good at first, but then the instructions are not clear. Confusing.

### 4/5 — HOW TO PLAY

*2015-11-11, version 1.1.2*

my first time using this app I was confused on how to move to the next level.
Here's what I've learned so far:
You need to click QUICKLY if you want to get the "green light sound". The emphasis is on SPEED and accuracy.
You get a different sound if you don't do it fast enough.
You get an "X" sound if you do something wrong (either missing a change, or clicking when you shouldn't half)
I hope this helps!

### 4/5 — Great app BUT

*2014-11-07, version 1.1.2*

Great app, BUT my only complaint is that it's not color blind friendly. I have a red/green deficiency; I have way more problems with figuring out the colors than I do with the other stuff!!

### 2/5 — Please fix ASAP

*2014-09-25, version 1.1.2*

I keep trying to click on the check mark and it won't respond, then I says that I missed it. Also, when I try to exit and go back to the home menu in the game, it won't respond when I click on the button. Please fix ASAP. I paid over ten dollars for the app and I would prefer to able to actually play the game. Please fix ASAP and thank you for your time.

### 2/5 — Frustrating and Confusing

*2014-08-14, version 1.1.2*

I got this for my son, when he got to level 15, the instructions said to press the button whenever a change occurs, and don't press button after green. We have tried to do it in every way possible but nothing is working, the instructions on this App are not clear. Now we are both frustrated and disappointed , as he cannot go any further. We hope this is fixed soon, as I read that someone else is experiencing a problem.

### 2/5 — Does not tell me how to reset

*2014-07-20, version 1.1.2*

I was playing around with it before giving to my child to train. Now its in a level i have no way to reset. How to reset ?

### 4/5 — Nearly Wonderful

*2014-04-25, version 1.1.2*

The thing I like most are the little quotes that remind me I can be better- some of the instructions for the games do not make sense and need to be more clear. I also like the pop up reminders to stay focused and to play the games. I'm not sure how much the games actually help me to become more focused... Would be nice to have a "scale" that measures my progress and shows improvements. Also, to show a correlation between the "games" and "real life"; how one improves the other.

### 2/5 — Good but boring

*2014-04-15*

Sorry, I think that the exercises can improve my focus by trough the time, but you know, the ADHD pacientes give up easily when something doesn't lock your attention, and sincerely, this software is very boring, the exercises and mainly the noises, for me it's pratically impossible to continue, tks

### 1/5 — Information Only?

*2026-08-12, version 1.3*

I paid the fee thinking the Brain Training game? was included.

### 1/5 — Impossible

*2023-01-21*

Level 89 turn the game impossible to advance . You need strike the button under 0.9 sec. IMPOSSIBLE

### 1/5 — Doesn’t even work

*2018-04-08, version 1.3*

I just spent $5 and the app doesn’t even work. There is nowhere to click to start the game. Am I missing something. All I can click on are settings and the “ADHD” button that describes the disorder.

### 1/5 — Frustrating!!

*2017-06-23, version 1.3*

By sheer luck I got past levels 14 and 15 (app NOT working correctly) only to get stuck again at level 22. Please fix this, as I believe it could be helpful

### 1/5 — Full of bugs, mistakes and nonsense directions

*2017-01-06, version 1.1.2*

I honestly can't tell if it's just that someone with no command of English wrote the directions for this, or whether or the "tests" are just glitchy, buggy or just plain broken -- but none of them seem to work in any understandable way.

DEVELOPER: Please get your #€£#£ together and either MAKE THESE CLEAR OR FIX THEM – for now I am deleting it.

### 1/5 — Stopped working according to the rules of each level

*2016-03-24, version 1.1.2*

Starting at level 14 the game wouldn't accurately affirm with positive sounds or de-affirm a mistake with a negative sounds, which is the point of the whole app, which means that it's broken and useless and maybe even hurtful for attention. Please fix this ASAP or Refund my $10 or whatever I paid!!!

### 1/5 — Frustrating and confusing

*2015-10-24, version 1.1.2*

After a few levels the instructions become frustrating and confusing. Don't waste your money or time.

### 1/5 — Really?!?!

*2015-02-05, version 1.1.2*

So, so boring. Unpleasant, redundant, myopic and dull.
(psst did anyone tell them we have adhd? I think they forgot.)
A waste of time, and depressing... I actually hoed I had found something to help.

### 1/5 — ADHD

*2014-08-04, version 1.1.2*

I must be stupid cause I can't seem to figure it out.

### 1/5 — Not for colour blind

*2014-03-12, version 1.1.2*

I have adult ADHD and am colour blind. The exercises are fun and probably help a bit with concentration but are mostly based on colour recognition unfortunately. Seeing as close to 10% of the population is afflicted with this disability, it would be nice to have a colour blind mode.

### 5/5 — Great for my son

*2016-07-29, version 1.1.2*

I can already see its benefits. Thank you so much for making this app free and available. I'm even gonna start using the app myself. Again thanks so much😀👍
AAAA++++

### 5/5 — Really works

*2015-11-08, version 1.1.2*

I've been using the app for almost 6 months and wow what a difference it's made in my ability to stay focused thru out the day really great app :)

### 5/5 — ❤️LOVE THIS APP❤️

*2014-12-21, version 1.1.2*

I happen to love this app! For those confused on don't tap after green. It means when the color green disappears from the screen do not tap. But you can tap the color green when it appears on the screen just not when it disappears from the screen. Anyway, I believe this app is helping me cause I'm paying more, MUCH more attention to detail at work when downloading online orders. I have to check super fast that the address hasn't changed. If it has I have to update it. Then check the order header and if customer left comment, copy and paste it to the appropriate place. Was told that I need to do 150 an hour and I now in this past month am doing 200 an hour. Because of this I got a raise. So. Thank you so much for developing this app!
