I loved the whole concept of it and it was working great at first but now I only get notifications but when I open the app it give me an error message. I’ve kept the app in hopes that it will get fixed at some point but it’s been way too long. **Developer response:** Hi Natalie, sorry about this issue. Things take forever to load and how to manage emails and brand accounts is not very intuitive. It also crashes occasionally when just attempting basic operations. It’s honestly not even terrible...just bad enough that I find myself not wanting to deal with it, which defeats the purpose. I’ll keep an eye on it though and if an update polishes some of the edges I’ll definitely be back! **Developer response:** Hi, I would love to hear more about suggestions that you have for AdKaddy. The loading and crash issue have been fixed in the latest update. Also there does not seem to be a way to draft new emails going out, which is very frustrating at times for a variety of situations. I would give this app less stars but I really want it to work for me. Oh also I just got a “verify personal email” error when trying to email a retailer, so that is frustrating as well. Please fix these things, and I will continue to use. But if not I’ll have to go back to other emails. ### 2/5 — Great concept, clunky UX *2021-01-18, version 7.2.4* I love the idea of all my shopping emails and ads in one place. But you lose the standard email feature of seeing everything in one feed when you need to, either for a quick scan or to dismiss emails I don’t want to open. I concern it has a lot delay to show inbox. ### 2/5 — Great concept but faulty *2020-12-02, version 7.1.1* It’s a great concept and I love being able to get all the subscription emails onto here and not spamming my actual email address anymore. However, in the last 2 weeks the app keeps shutting down on me while I’m on it so I deleted and reloaded it and now it won’t work. Every time I try to log on again it won’t load and it’s a big problem. ### 3/5 — Great Concept But Needs Work *2020-12-02, version 7.1.1* I absolutely love the concept of this app but it doesn’t exactly work 100% of the time. The app is very slow and often finicky at times where it wont load. The other night I was locked out of my account for over 5 hours. This causes a problem when I need to access an email immediately. This can be fixed with the ability to log onto a website to check the adkaddy email but sadly this isn’t available yet. Also, I had emails that were about shipments that were not being recognized and were labeled under normal mail. You also can not reply to emails from the app itself. You must first forward the email to another account such as gmail to do so. When trying to forward an email to my personal account the email never arrived. Like I said, this app is a great concept but it seems to be in its early stages of development and needs a lot of work. If these issues are resolved I will most likely look into returning but for now I need a reliable email service. ### 2/5 — It’s okay *2020-11-25, version 7.1.1* The concept is nice. I like the idea of not having my personal account flooded with marketing emails. However, it’s kinda annoying that I can only check it on my phone. There’s no access (that I could find) on the web. Sometimes I prefer online shopping on my laptop bc some sites aren’t as easy to shop on mobile. Aside from that, the app is soooo slow. It constantly has the spinny loading wheel that goes on forever. Sometimes I have to quit the app and reopen. I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled it, but it still happens. The app spazzes out a lot when I’m looking at an email. If I’m scrolling down, it keeps jumping back to the top. Like I said, the concept is great, but I could just separate my Gmail inbox into tabs and get the same function. ### 3/5 — Great,....EXEPT!.... *2020-11-07, version 7.1.1* This app is great for what it does & once you figure out how to use it,it’s a way better ui than say,gmail...my only complaint,which is kinda huge,is that once I went & changed my email address within all of my online shopping accounts;now I’m receiving emails from about half of my accounts,the other half are either still sending emails to my regular email even though that email is nowhere on those accounts now,or I just don’t receive any emails from them & the kicker is that I decided that I’d just open new accounts with the AdKaddy email and forget the rewards I’ve earned ,but I can’t do that now because an account already exists from where I switched my other accounts...so frustrating,but it’s not the app’s fault,just beware when you go to switching emails that a large portion of online retailers don’t seem to be able to switch where your account receives email. ### 4/5 — My favorite app *2020-05-02, version 5.75* This is an app I always wished existed and now it does! Once I got everything switched over to my Adkaddy email, it was easy! Now shopping online, retail, etc is so much more organized. They handle it all... shipping notifications, coupons, promos, etc. and it’s not all crowding my regular inbox. I love it! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Completely locked out *2023-09-06* Adkaddy stopped working at all yesterday. I tried reinstalling, but I can’t even log in now. Support isn’t answering me either. I’m locked out of dozens of important accounts now and have no way to fix that. I loved using adkaddy for a long time, but now I need to stop recommending it because it has seriously messed up a lot of my online accounts. ### 1/5 — Does not load *2021-01-17, version 7.2.4* No response from pushing the let’s get started button. ### 1/5 — Dropped to 1 star *2020-12-19, version 7.2* Originally I rated this 5 stars it helped greatly to clean up my email and keep everything nice and tidy. It was organized and easy to use. Since the last update the app is so tiresome and cumbersome to use. The magazine function only works when you initially adds brand, after that it never updates with new emails of the brands you have in your magazine. Then if you use the adkaddy tab you have to click into each brand, read email, click out of the brand await ten seconds for it to reload then go to the next brand. It’s exhausting. Finally even after reading all the emails and posts from a brand and clearing all the new ones, it still reads as having new emails further cluttering that new emails screen. It went from my fave app to a chore in one update. Unfortunate. ### 1/5 — This App!! *2020-12-10, version 7.2* Started out super nice and helpful to send all my emails for freebies or anything else to try and cut down on the clutter in my Normal email. Less off a trash fire mess... then some how I got locked out and couldn’t reset my password. I emailed in for assistance and hardly got support, was told it would be looked into.... TWO MONTHS LATER THEY RESET MY PASSWORD.... TWO MONTHS LATER YOU TELL ME ITS FIXED.... DONT DOWNLOAD THIS APP UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE LOCKED OUT OF YOUR EMAILS OR ANYTHING ELSE. I love how the app can automatically sort the brands and delete my emails if I don’t open them within a certain timeframe...it declutters my inbox for me! It can also file your receipts so they are easy to find. Really well done. ### 5/5 — Worth the move from email *2022-07-24, version 8.3* I’ve been so impressed by AdKaddy. It categorizes and organizes my orders, shipping, and promotions in a super friendly and useful way. I was hesitant to change my email with vendors but it has been so worth it! Took me less than 2 hours to transfer all of my subscriptions over to my AdKaddy inbox, and even added a few new ones. Now when I shop or order food, I check my AdKaddy to see if I’ve saved up any promotions. I tried unroll.me, but found the daily roll ups made it super difficult to find anything and I felt more disorganized. When I got ad ad for AdKaddy I figured it couldn’t hurt to try it out, and now I absolutely LOVE this app. I can now subscribe to as many newsletters as I want and because everything is organized perfectly, I can find immediately the deal or email I’m looking for. And the fact that you can quickly pull out transactional emails like receipts and shipping info is a stroke of genius!! Outside of my love for this as a consumer, I’ve also found it’s an incredible tool for anyone who works in digital marketing. Because all emails from a sender are organized in one place, I can quickly see the full scope of others’ funnels when I join their email list. It’s a fantastic teaching and learning tool. So I can’t stress enough how useful this is to me, and I’m excited to see the app grow. I’ve already recommended it to some friends (both digital marketers and regular people!). If I can put in a feature request, it would be helpful to have more control over how each sender appears in the app. For example, businesses sometimes send emails from a specific employee name, but since I don’t recognize those names immediately I’d like to change the label to say the company name. Or if a company sends emails from two addresses, I would like to be able to collapse them into one category so I can look at all the emails in one place.
