### 4/5 — Number fields instead of sliders PLEASE

*2026-08-23, version 7.8*

I love this app but the sliders to adjust amounts by number is an absolutely atrocious design decision. If I want to have an exact number in there I have to spend a long time attempting to move the slider by tiny increments. For instance, the “Distance” slider under Drop Shadow goes up to 5000. Incrementing by a tiny amount is nearly impossible and the amount jumps around by large amounts but never what I actually want.

### 1/5 — Can’t do the basics in the iPad app.

*2026-08-20, version 7.8*

How do I resize an image - now. Used to be possible to size an image on an iPad - but that has changed. Now unusable……

### 1/5 — When I was a kid, we had Tinker Toys

*2026-08-18, version 7.8*

When I was a kid, we had Tinkertoys. Today, my kids have Photoshop. It’s so reassuring knowing they can spend hours making Minecraft photo edits without any supervision from me whatsoever. I was actually going to hire a babysitter while I went downtown to sell d$@g$, but thankfully that expense is no longer necessary. I have Photoshop!

I do feel a little bad for any professional trying to use it for legitimate work, but honestly, who cares? This review is about me and my beautiful new childcare solution.

Thanks, Adobe! Five stars for keeping the kids occupied while apparently making professional workflows somebody else’s problem.

Came back to double down on everything I said! Also, the removal tool comes up operation failed for all pictures, SFW. Then it tells me cloud storage is full but doesn’t allow me to delete anything. For this price and the fact that I was charged for two years for something I never ordered, plus the pain that the removal tool is, I can’t recommend the product.

### 1/5 — It broke

*2026-08-17, version 7.8*

It broke and nothing can fix it now

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2026-08-17, version 7.8*

Downloaded to alter some photos for my business. The app would not work properly so I opted for a paid subscription to access more features. On top of jamming, the app could not correctly alter a single photo. I canceled the subscription out of frustration. Do not waste your money.

### 1/5 — It’s good but needs to be fixed

*2026-08-16, version 7.8*

I guess it’s kind of good but like when you’re trying to remove an image it either takes 30 min or doesn’t ever work also it’s super slow and I don’t even know what the AI is for because it doesn’t do anything and please fix this it’s annoying I also think you should be able to blend images together but you can’t

### 1/5 — The The The Big Lie and its lies have nothing in it to say that it was the only

*2026-08-14, version 7.8*

The

### 1/5 — I keep it with the Tinker Toys

*2026-08-13, version 7.8*

This is a great tool for five year olds, since it was clearly made for them. Have nice day!

Btw, every time I can’t do my work, I’m coming in here to update my review. Thanks a bunch! 😉

*Updated because I couldn’t do my work. Operation failed.

*another operation failed again. 😉 operation failed, operation failed, operation fail. One star! Well deserved!

*operation failed again, multiple times. Can’t get rid of tattoos.

### 1/5 — Lacks

*2026-08-11, version 7.8*

Not user friendly

### 1/5 — A.I. not working well

*2026-08-10, version 7.8*

Prompt:”make this less yellow than the original and sharper. Did not work. It kept scanning repeatedly and would not stop

### 3/5 — Projects and HDR

*2026-08-09*

1. see my creative cloud projects
2. LR does, but PS doesn’t support HDR (gain maps) on iPad.

**Developer response:** Hi there, thank you for your feedback! We understand you'd like to see your Creative Cloud projects in the app, and we've logged this as a feature request with our team. We also appreciate you flagging that Photoshop on iPad doesn't yet support HDR (gain maps) as Lightroom does — that's helpful, specific feedback that we'll pass along to our development team for consideration in future updates. Thanks for taking the time to share these details; it helps us improve the experience across our apps.^RS

### 1/5 — Not Worth the Subscription

*2026-08-08, version 7.8*

I’ve used Photoshop professionally since version 1 back in the day. It’s been on my Macs for decades. It really went downhill when they started making it a subscription instead of a one-time fee. They essentially held creators’ files hostage for their monthly extortion fee.

But now, their software is bloated with features no one asked for, and the AI aspect is rubbish. I’ve moved on to Affinity Photo and Pixelmator Pro, both of which are a one-time fee. They do what Photoshop does but better, faster, and with a better interface.

Bye, Adobe. You’re no longer the leader.

### 4/5 — Adobe Photo Editor

*2026-08-08, version 7.8*

I find this program useful. My favorite photo-edit program came free with my HP computer, circa 2000. I think it was called Photodeluxe or similar. It was simple, like making adjustments on my camera. I bought some of the later things like “premier” for video editing and another for photos (forgot name). Anyway, it got too complicated for me. With Adobe AI Photo Editor, you don’t have to know much other than how you would like your finished work to look. I suspect it may be easier this way to learn how to edit manually if you want. That’s all for now. This was my first time using this app.

Oh, I would have rated 5 stars, but I had trouble lightening a topiary face that had too much shadow. I know it can be done, but possibly manually. The tool I needed may be in the premier, advanced, or proprietary area. I forget the name. I’m just not quite ready to commit to that yet. A free trial might be a good idea.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Horrid

*2026-09-01, version 7.8.2*

Its horrid

### 1/5 — Comparing apps

*2026-08-31, version 7.8.2*

To say PS is slow just doesn’t cover it. It takes several minutes to make one change.

### 1/5 — Eternally unfinished

*2026-08-29, version 7.8.2*

Photoshop for iPad has been around for sometime, at first it had promise. But after years we still don’t even have the ability to draw a straight line like we do in the desktop version, that’s just an example but it shows you were adobes priorities are

### 1/5 — If I could give 0 stars to you I would

*2026-08-28, version 7.8.2*

And if I could take the money I spend on you back I would do that too. I don’t think there has been an app that presents itself as useful but that has been so intentionally designed to screw with you in every little possible way. Why do camera raw and liquify give things white outlines. Why are there no good pressure brush options. And why. In the good name of god. Would you NOT ALLOW PEOPLE TO DISABLE SNAPPING?! I don’t know if you don’t test your products at all, or listen to customer feedback, but given that this has been a complaint online for years it’s pretty obvious that you don’t. Screw you, Adobe. And screw your stupid, stupid app.

### 1/5 — Not Photoshop

*2026-08-27, version 7.8.2*

This should be called something else because it is not Photoshop. If you know and use Photoshop you will be disappointed with this mess. Nothing really works the same, you are on a brand new learning curve. Oh, and you can’t even draw a line or resize an image. You should fire your developers, throw this project in the trash can, and ask Codex to build you an iPad app that matches the Desktop app. At least in basic features. I hate “Photoshop” for the iPad.

### 1/5 — Generative fill ask for payment

*2026-08-26, version 7.8.2*

A fully paid user yet it states no credits if I try and use generative fill. Auto selects firefly but no other options for me. RIP off

### 1/5 — Not able to export in png

*2026-08-23, version 7.8*

Speaks for itself

### 1/5 — AI Assistant

*2026-08-21, version 7.8*

Uses a broken AI Assistant when a simple help function would suffice. Unusable and frustrating.

### 1/5 — Greedy Аrse company

*2026-08-20, version 7.8*

It’s decent on mobile, but adobe is too expensive so I wouldn’t get it given than photopea is free.

### 1/5 — Can’t edit anything only AI options now

*2026-08-20, version 7.8*

Nice to see a feature I used to have I don’t have anymore. App is useless without TWO subscriptions

*2026-09-02, version 7.8.2*

### 5/5 — I think

*2026-08-28, version 7.8.2*

Adobe Photoshop is an absolute legend in the creative world. It’s been my go-to for photo editing, compositing, and even digital painting for as long as I can remember. The sheer depth of tools, combined with AI-powered features like Generative Fill, makes it feel both timeless and futuristic at the same time. There’s always something new to learn, and that’s exactly what keeps it exciting. Massive respect to the team for continuing to evolve such an iconic tool!
