Too bad it doesn’t work very well. *2021-05-07, version 6.2.0* If this app worked it would be great. Alerts appear only on my home page. When you get 4 and 5 at a time on the same thing it is confusing. I have changed the settings to keep expired alerts for 1 week but it does not do it. I don’t necessarily want to keep expired alerts but I’d like to see them longer and elsewhere besides my home page as a banner. And it doesn’t let you select specific freeways or highways. It liked and accepted I17 but it doesn’t like Loop 101. ### 1/5 — Location Service *2020-09-08, version 6.2.0* Since location service MUST be set to ALWAYS this is a power drain. App deleted. I do not allow any app to have constant access to my location data both for battery life and privacy. ### 1/5 — Don’t waste your time *2020-06-30, version 6.1.4* This app only gives you updates of things going on around you and not throughout the state or places you may be traveling to. ### 1/5 — June, 2020: Still broken. Good if you’re looking to drain your battery; otherwise, look elsewhere. *2020-06-17, version 6.1.4* My intention was to set alerts for a few watched areas so I could be notified of closures or road issues in those areas *in advance* (I.e. before I drive there and find out a road is closed and lose major time discovering it). After all, the app advertises this type of feature. Too bad it doesn’t work that way. The app keeps nagging me to allow constant GPS tracking in the background, even when I’m not using the app. If I do not allow it that always-tracking permission, then it will not allow me to create any “watched” areas. What a stupid design! If they need to track my location to provide an alert about a pre-defined “watched” area, then it’s either not giving me advance notice (& requiring me to approach the area before it pushes me an alert) or it’s just a very stupid limitation in the design that will waste considerable battery each day as it seeks GPS locations, particularly when I’m inside a building with no access to a GPS signal. I was hopeful that in the couple years which have elapsed since other reviewers mentioned similar limitations, that those issues would now have been addressed. Nope! All those old issues are still there… Except I have not seen the advertisement for that coffee gift card (so I guess they have made 1 improvement in the last couple years). ### 1/5 — Absolutely worthless *2019-12-14, version 6.1.4* Don't waste your time. Additionally, many of the basic functions, such as adding a home or work address, do not work & users encounter errors throughout the entire application. This application gives on time road closures as well as other important information that travelers may need. ### 5/5 — Nice *2019-08-06, version 6.1.2* It’s good when I have to direct my mom where closures are and how to get home faster. It’s not for creating a route map. Some previous reviewers seem confused about what it’s supposed to be. ### 5/5 — Love ADOT Alerts! *2018-07-26, version 6.0* This is a great way to get real time information about long delays or closures so you can use a different route or change your travel plans. I also love that I can create Watched Areas so I know if there are big delays on the highways I plan to drive on! There are no ads, but I think there was a free coffee gift card promo going on at first. This app will let you know of crashes, weather-related freeway problems and wrong way driver alerts in the area in which you are located. No need to be fancy- just trying to stay alive.
