Then when you finally figure it out, it’s hard to read. The story is dark gray against a black background with blue for the words you filled in. If it’s tweaked a bit it would be fun. ### 1/5 — Black Text on a Charcoal Background *2024-08-23* Seriously, what were these people thinking? The original apps just had black text on a white background and you could actually read it. Apparently they don’t think the app is worth updating since is been 5+ years. What a shame. What gets me is that someone tested this and submitted it to the App Store. Is very obvious that whoever worked on the app was upset for some reason and intentionally sabotaged the app—no one in their right mind could ever reasonably believe people would want to try and read black text on a near-black background or any other color combination they used in the app—none of which are readable. ### 1/5 — Can’t read my story *2024-08-04, version 2.2.2* I filled out all of the words and then it said complete but there is no way to read the story. The app is wonderful but I paid for a pack and I can barely read the results. Wanting to spice things up, I got Adult Mad Libs (which requires purchasing for stories) only for the stories to be horrendous. They made no sense and most of the words when filling in couldn’t actually be any adjective or noun. “does your mom micro manage you ever mili-(noun)” the only thing that makes sense there is mili second. Not mili-cloud, or mili-detective… not worth money or time. I want my money back! Would give 0 stars if I could ### 1/5 — App glitches *2026-06-06* My husband and I enjoy using this app . I’ve made several purchases. However the App closes out or locks out of the mad lib if I leave the app for even a second. I can’t answer calls, I can’t get back in, and it forced me to start over. I downloaded the app and then paid for some books and when I click on them to start playing it just goes to a pink screen and freezes. I’ve deleted it and then reinstalled it and the exact same thing happens. So basically, I paid money to look at a pink screen. These people need to be castrated with a rusty old fishing knife. Fix your stinking product! Only comes with one “book”, but other books are $2.99 so, low risk. All these other reviewers clearly don't have Jesus in their lives. I actually used the events as a kind of road map for my life. For example, on my wedding day, I said "I don't" remembering that all verbs are interchangeable. Thank you Mad Libs for getting me out of a relationship. But the coloring of the font and the background color does not work well. It’s hard to read the stories once you finish coming up with all the words. And there’s no settings change available.
