A new scanning engine. Scans no longer stop when you move, the ear surface is reconstructed at twice the detail, and the live preview shows a true photographic model. A distance indicator and vibration guide you to the ideal 10-inch range while you scan, and the home screen shows a real ear impression you can turn.

· Scans now export as a single, clean 3D model of your ear rather than a loose cloud of points. Files are much smaller and can be used directly, without repair work.
· On-screen guidance while you scan shows your distance and elapsed time, so it's easier to hold the right position.
· Your phone now buzzes differently once a scan has run long enough, so you know when to stop without looking at the screen.
· Tap your ear canal on the preview to choose exactly which part of the scan is kept.
· Left and Right are labelled throughout.
· Every scan is now checked before it's sent. If something is wrong, the app explains what and why instead of sending an unusable file.
· The screen no longer sleeps while a scan is exporting or uploading.
· The photo step has been removed.
