No response to my emails, great magazine, poor customer support. Won't be renewing. ### 1/5 — Ios 8 disaster *2014-10-08, version 4.1.84* This mag was great on the iPad until ios8 and what a disaster. Can't download as it says you need a newer version. However no updated app is available. I feel completely ripped off! Can't give a minus score so I have had to give 1 star. Stay well clear or this app, go buy the paper mag for a good read. ### 1/5 — Garbage *2014-10-04, version 4.1.81* Sometimes app developers shoot theirselves in the foot by asking us to rate them. Well ok, you asked for it. If I could have given this a minus star, I would have. The app won't update as there is no update available for it even though it keeps asking for one. I paid a years subscription for this and I can't access any issues except one that I paid for thinking it would realise I've already paid and wouldn't take my money. To be honest, the magazine itself is very Nikon heavy so if you're a canon or God forbid a Leica fan, there isn't going to be much in it for you. It also seems to be a lot about the average snaps of one man. Not much variety. A very average magazine in my opinion. You're better off trawling the net and reading people's blogs as they are generally free and written by real enthusiasts who do it because of a passion. ### 1/5 — Don't bother *2014-10-03* This app does not work. I had just renewed the absolute photo but it requires you to download IOS 8 which I don't want to do. So, now I am out quite a bit of money because I just renewed my absolute photo for another year. I have emailed the help folks and no reply has been given. ### 1/5 — Good magazine really poor app *2014-09-28* I have subscribed to this magazine for a long time. I have always liked it. However the switch to a digital version has not been a good one. Now the app does not work at all. It keeps telling me to update, but I have. I can't get any customer support. I contacted the publisher who said the magazine is out of business. Ceased publication? ### 1/5 — STILL Needs a LOT of Work *2015-09-12, version 23.6.0* UPDATE has become even more unreliable! Have to reload issues regularly. They need to sack their programmers and employ people who know how to write reliable apps, with the customer experience in mind. I'd advise avoid until working properly. It's a shame.... Great on-line magazine content BUT very poor iPAD (and phone?) library management. Issues disappear, the 'my library' is none functional, having to wade through all shop issues to find bought issues to read. Unreliable now... Used to be fine. Come on guys, sort us tablet users out! But emphasise contents really good. Latest problem is advertised a half-price issue but charged full price (issue 48). Suggest avoid until fully working and reliable. The publisher then, instead of re funding subscribers money, moved us over to this magazine. It has been nothing but trouble ever since. It takes weeks before the app allows me to download issues, and the last 2 issues I have not been able to download at all. I was advised to delete the app and re install, but now I can't even download the back issues I had prior to deleting... I have contacted the company, and had no response... Stay away... Recommend! ### 5/5 — Inability to download issues has been corrected *2014-10-09* I enjoyed my first few months with the app, but was frustrated with the software hiccough with the new release update for iOS 8. It appears that the problem has been rectified. I've downloaded the new issue and all seems to be working well. I will upgrade my previous abysmal rating to five stars. Good job. ### 5/5 — The best photography mag on iPad so far! *2014-08-05, version 4.1.67* The iPad version of the magazine is very good, and after spending probably over an hour and a half reading, watching and listening to audio I can honestly say this is very good value. The video content is very professional and extremely inspiring and the articles are full of very in-depth information. The preview pages are so small and low-res that you can't read the table contents to even see what articles the magazine contains. No go ### 2/5 — Disappointed *2015-12-24* I subscribed to the magazine, as I really enjoyed it in the print form. And, for a while, the app worked great. However, even though my subscription is current, I can’t download any new issues. The last issue I was able to download was issue 56, but there were at least 5 more issues on my subscription. Now, ALL issues are listed as purchases, which is very annoying. The ONLY reason I’m giving this two stars is because it worked great when I was able to read the issues! If I could only get my issues I already paid for in my subscription, I’d change this rating. ### 2/5 — Needs to Improve! *2014-08-06, version 4.1.67* The store should have all issues listed and Library should only have issues I have bought so I can access them quicker.
