I made it a ritual to play it at least once a year. I have bought this game at least 4 times on different devices, but it is worth it. It’s a unique rpg game where you level up by food, to make food you find ingredients, to get ingredients you do dungeons, and with those ingredients you make food. But you have to balance everything from what ingredients to use, what food to sell, what weapons to buy, what food to eats, which characters to use. It is such a nostalgic game to play. The replay ability is extremely high and yet satisfying. I barely found out about Marenia’s Tavern. Same game style but different storyline. Once a year, I always come back to playing this game for about a month before signing off. It’s so worth the purchase. It’s simple, yet challenging and fun :) I enjoy making the recipes and finding out new recipes (bc they don’t tell you every recipe outright). Plus, you can either buy ingredients yourself OR fight for it in side games. At the time I was a wee lil one, so I couldn’t buy the game. Now that I’m an adult I’ve definitely done a good thing. And I’m sure you’re wondering what the good thing is; well I bought the game. 10/10 love it thus far. ### 5/5 — A fun unconventional RPG *2020-05-13, version 1.8* *experienced issues on my iPhone 8, but seems to run perfectly on my iPhone XS.* While it suffers slightly from some localization issues, this game still makes for a great time sink. It's a whimsical take on turn-based RPGs where rather than setting off on some epic journey to locate the magic mcguffin and beat down whichever big bad is threatening Generic Kingdom X, you're instead just trying to run a restaurant. You play as a restaurateur who heads out to fields and caves and mountains mostly to gather ingredients which you then use to cook foods. Those foods can be sold for money at your restaurant, or eaten for exp to power up your group. As you get stronger, you can tackle newer areas for newer, better ingredients and to further the story.
