### 5/5 — Don’t sleep on this

*2026-02-19, version 2.3*

No microtransactions no upsell no ads. Just a kickass game with crunchy satisfying depth. If you’ve ever enjoyed any kind of dungeon crawler you’ll love this.

Developer is also chill and responsive to feedback.

### 5/5 — Excellent as Always

*2026-02-09*

I don’t usually write reviews on games, though I will for this dev because they’re fabulous, and their games have always been some of the best roguelikes I’ve ever played. One quick note though, for VO users. If you want to access info on enemies you’re fighting but don’t want to hit the look button first, VO does have a long-press option. Simply double-tap the enemy’s name and don’t raise your finger. That counts as a long press and will give you info. Then swipe till you hear the “Done” button labeled. But I’ve seriously enjoyed playing every adventure to fate game since almost the beginning.

### 5/5 — It’s got its quirks, but it’s worth every penny

*2026-02-04*

This game has been scratching an itch I’ve had for quite some time: an old-school dungeon crawler with no IAP. There is tons of content, consistent updates, and an active Discord to ask questions and speak to the developer directly. It also has the two most important parts of a mobile game: you can stop and go at any time, and you can play vertical.

If you appreciate quality content on the App Store, you should support this game.

### 5/5 — A Masterpiece!

*2026-02-03, version 2.2*

Game Double Tap, here! I’m a 100% blind, game, content creator! What you need to know about Adventure To Fate Dungeons! It is 100% accessible to the Blind/visually impaired, blind/deaf and low vision. The game has a sweet, clean and punchy UX, along with punchy buttons that have no lag and work as labeled. The developer is quick to fix any bugs and updates are always coming. You get a game that will continue to get reasonable updates over time. It won’t be abandoned after release. Sighted players will enjoy campy, well-designed and clean menus and graphics, while playing. So, this isn’t just a blind game. The developer believes in the player earning progress and not buying it. Som no PTW, anywhere to be seen. The dungeons are very unique. Each has its own design, tricks, traps, bosses, gear, consumables, gear and vibe. Each dungeon has several strategies which will get you through some monsters and bosses. But, no strategy is perfect. So expect to lose some times. An achievement system is lavishly built in which provides a lot of fun accomplishing goals! There is a Rune system, which gives you opportunities to increase your power and create unique class builds. There is a Pre-fix system, which gives weapons, items and armor cool enchantments! You have shrines which offer sweet new skills and powers. Passive and Active. Mazes are not too crazy, so you won’t get discouraged for lack of searching levels or zones. There are so many mechanisms to build your best hero. So many attributes to exploit or avoid. A full grid map works perfectly. No wonk! It has a built-in, fully accessible tutorial. Too many benefits for me to go fully into. It’s a finely balanced roguelike, holding awesome secret gear to discover and create. Multiple races, classes and modes. You will enjoy yourself! Come over to my Youtube channel and I’ll entertain you and stumble across some Pro Tips! Thank you!

### 5/5 — Best game in the series yet, hoping for a big update to celebrate the game of the year award

*2026-01-17*

This game has improved upon just about everything I could think of from combat, to skills, to quality of life that this series has built up. All six classes are very unique, fun to experiment with, and fun to make it more challenging for them as well. Even with a good majority of the quest system completed, I still find a challenge in this game. The Mystic modes offer a ton of different varieties, and I can’t wait to see where it goes next. For some ideas, new classes for sure. Illusionist, Guardian was one I always liked, cleric was really fun in the last game. Maybe even some classes from future arena like alien would be fun in this game. New dungeons would also be great, and even after you run out of elements, you could still mix and match, like doing a dark murky ocean with shadow and water, or doing a burning forest with flame and earth. These could also have hazards, like how lost Island had the volcanic hazards. I think that could add a very interesting dynamic to the different dungeons, and keep the level design fresh. Hoping for a big game of the year update, Because this game definitely deserved it.

### 5/5 — Simple delivery with layers of RPG

*2025-12-23*

The UI is easy to use, clear and well thought out. But this is a detailed RPG with multiple heroes and monsters. You battle through levels perking up as you go but can also leave weapons and items for you next run.

The graphics are retro and the music is too which is awesome

Highly recommend to anyone that is a fan of the genre!

### 5/5 — Nicely done, man.

*2025-12-21*

Very well done. I remember the testing process, from start to finish. This game has come a long way, just like I watched Core Quest slowly come to its current form. It's really interesting watching these games grow and remember what they were at the very start.

### 5/5 — Absolute treasure of a game!

*2025-12-19, version 2.0*

I've always enjoyed the Adventure to Fate games! Dungeons is no different and definitely worth every dollar. It got me through college finals! :)

### 5/5 — A challenging, and addictive game

*2025-12-18*

This game is addictively challenging, very much enjoying playing it. I also appreciate that it’s completely accessible, and that the developer continues to develop games that are accessible and intriguing to the visually impaired.

### 5/5 — This game is awesome

*2025-12-17, version 2.0*

This game has it all. Accessible fund you name it this game has it.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Game doesn’t start

*2026-06-26*

Brand new iPad game won’t even launch. Want refund

### 1/5 — Awkward UI and overcomplicated

*2026-06-17*

It’s just not particularly well made. Far too many unnecessarily over-complicated mechanics and stats, worsened by a terrible UI that makes it a chore to try and engage with them. It does feel ‘old-school’, but in a “from before we’d learnt anything about game design or UI” way.

### 1/5 — Adventure to fade dungeon

*2026-03-15, version 2.3*

Very hard to navigate.

### 1/5 — Difficulty too high even on casual.

*2025-12-31*

This game is such a slog to play. I have never looked forward to playing something so little. Every time I sit to play this game, everything from the loading screen and its gaudy colors and the time it takes to get into battle, just detracts from what could be a good single screen Roguelike game. I dislike all of the series and though I did pay for this one, I’ll never play it again.

**Developer response:** Hey thanks for reaching out! I am sorry you are not happy with the game. This is an accessible game first, so there are some minor delays in combat for VoiceOver to speak. I am working on a quick mode but that requires rewriting almost all the combat logic. As for the design, I am working on some new background images for the battles! As for the difficulty, it can be a bit challenging, but over 3000 people have completed the game, so it is possible! Try to make use of Defend Skill, stack defensive stats like agility and wisdom and maybe switch up and try a different class.

Thanks for the criticism, hopefully, I can get these changes in and make the game better for you and everyone else!

### 2/5 — Not accessible to all

*2026-01-02*

An app that wears accessibility on its sleeve but has a health bar optimized to confuse the colour blind… just red and green with identical intensity.

There appears to be a lot of detail and depth in this game. Didn’t grab me, though. Played through the intro graveyard and then deleted.

### 3/5 — Too Random for High Difficulty

*2026-01-24*

Extremely repetitive considering the level of difficulty on Champion. Casual should probably be called normal difficulty instead. It appears 95% of people are dying on floors 1-5. Certain classes stand next to zero chance on many various fights. Dragon on level 5 shouldn’t have a flame spawn every turn as well as have attacks. It completely immobilizes most stamina trying to simply stay alive. I end up having half my inventory filled with useless potions since they’re unnecessary except for a couple fights and then they can’t be used due to slots even with higher tiered belts.

Overall, fun but too repetitive for next to 0 gains on death.

### 4/5 — Really great game!

*2026-05-17, version 2.9*

I love this game! The customization in different ways to play are awesome and make it pretty addictive. Would love to see more added to the game or newer versions maybe mixing elements from all of the others, I like both the pets and the spirits.

### 4/5 — Volcano dungeon needs a bit of balancing

*2026-04-12*

Having three inferno nights is not fair they can use fiery strike which drives over 100 damage guaranteeing my death please balance the game or at least the stats of the enemies because yeah I think they have the same stats as the enemies in lost island which have the same like enemies somewhat and they feel like they're the same stats and they're doing way too much damage please balance the volcano dungeon cause I've only made it past 45 once once or twice I think it was once yeah I've only made it past 45 once so yeah it's not supposed to say 45 it's supposed to say FLORR five

**Developer response:** The prince of frost can be a bit tough for sure. I have added that to my list of balance adjustments! thanks for the heads up!

### 4/5 — Fun!

*2026-04-11, version 2.6*

Fun Rogue Like game, it's a slow build up in the early stages if you are new to the game. Once you build up some of the forges and shrines, you will begin to make some decent gear.

### 4/5 — Prince of Frost is kind of getting on my nerves

*2025-12-23*

Changed review please rebalance the Prince of Frost on Mystic frozen inspired is way too powerful it does not need five attacks maybe four not five it can round you and it's ridiculous please rebalance and I'll change my review back also excited to see new dungeons in classes

**Developer response:** The prince of frost can be a bit tough for sure. I have added that to my list of balance adjustments! thanks for the heads up!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — I love this Game

*2026-05-14*

This game is sooooooo awesome

### 5/5 — I don’t like what happened

*2026-05-12*

I just did a play through with the death night and when I went to fight the dazzling dragon, it removed the mind control ability and the zombie I summoned ended up attacking me. I honestly don’t think it should have removed my control as it seems to be a whole separate thing from confusion and confusion is usually what is removed in that battle.

### 5/5 — Amazing!!!!!!

*2026-05-12*

This game is the most fun accessible game I’ve ever played. I like to play video games a lot when I could see, so the fact that I can play this one as I’m blind is amazing. Not to mention the price to buy it is great and affordable. I love this game, and I’m really thankful that I have access to it. PS, the variety and combinations of this game are stellar, if there was a 10 out of five stars option, I would pick it.

### 5/5 — Love the new death knight class!

*2026-04-25, version 2.7*

Wow this is cool love the summoning and all its new abilities.

### 5/5 — Really enjoy this game

*2026-04-25, version 2.7*

Voiceover friendly, which is wonderful! This is a great combination of choose your own adventure with old school RPG. I really enjoy it love the storylines and it’s a lot of fun. Thanks so much!

### 5/5 — Addictive

*2026-04-22, version 2.7*

Very addictive

### 5/5 — Glitter Crack - Addictive and Fun

*2026-04-20*

Best of the series. Every screen is a celebration.

Soooo many ways to choose and build out your character.

One thumb Rogue like in Portrait. The sheer amount of ways to build is insane. Gear, spells, stats, skills and companions who have their own builds. But despite vast amount of choice, the game itself is completely straight forward and not complicated at all.

Few tech notes;

Plays outside audio
Quick saves like a dream
Boots in Airplane mode
Plays comfortably with one thumb.

Notes from the Dev;

Some things that will help. As a melee attacker Agi is one of the most important stats. Hitting/dodging.

For all classes wisdom is important too. It’s SP and resist.

In early game getting your HP up is a good idea when choosing level up stats.

Making use of defend / vanish is important too.

Upgrading your belt and shield are high priority since you get more belt slots for potions and shield because they are rare equipment.

On the boss floors 5 and 10 there is always a sign with a hint on how to conquer that floors boss.

Search and kill everything on every floor even if you can progress. This allows you to level up and become stronger.

Hopefully these tips help along with the adjustments version 1.6 brought.

Thanks for supporting the game and let me know if you have other questions.

### 5/5 — Amazing game!

*2026-03-31*

This is one of my favorite ios games. It’s so easy to pick up and play anywhere. I would recommend this game to anyone. The dev is great and responsive to players. The price is more than fair. This is the kind of game I will keep on my phone forever.

### 5/5 — I’d give it 10 stars if I could

*2026-03-20*

Amazing game I started playing core quest another great hit and always felt a personal connection with the developer who is insanely dedicated and personally assists anyone needing help in his discord community. They are very supportive of the blind/low vision gaming world and has created masterpieces anyone can enjoy

### 5/5 — Most played game on my phone

*2026-03-09*

This is not an impossible game to play. It allows for grind and always progressing. There are no in-game purchases so all the more reason to buy this game than to want free-to-play that makes you buy things. No, this is a great game that doesn’t need extra purchases to leech your wallet while not being very fun. This game is fun, and would buy it on Steam if I could. I own the first game of this series, so I will definitely buy the next one. If the next game is F2P, I will not waste my time with it because that means it will be P2W with in-app purchases.
