Excellent VoiceOver accessibility. Fun to play. I do wish the game had more arenas. Also I don't like the infinity void, I wish the character just got retired or something. There's no way that I know to complete the void so I think it should just not exist. Overall though I enjoy it. ### 5/5 — IN LOVE *2022-06-17* Addicting gameplay! I've come to realize that if an app using this free sourced sprite pack then it's more than likely gonna be awesome and this is no exception. After learning what everything means and what all the buttons do, there really isn't anything hard to grasp about this game. Text gets cut off at points and icons go off screen ### 3/5 — Fun game but lots of glitches *2021-10-23* Wow - really like old school RPGs - this one has tons to offer in classes, pets, equipment, weapons, etc…but game gets mired in glitches eventually making it unplayable. Sometimes I have 3 attacks sometimes 2 no rhyme or reason - then I leveled up and was awarded a spell only to never be able to use it (avenge). In the end disappointed as game extremely fun to play in the beginning. Maybe some updates can clear this up. ### 5/5 — Dungeon master 101 *2021-08-23* I love this game I love how it kind of combines battle arena and future fate and I also love how many pets you can get I hope more pets come in the future as well as more characters this is pretty awesome I’ve played with a lot of characters with a lot of different combinations and I have to say this is really amazing thank you for adding voiceover support for the blind people because we should enjoy games as well and I am very grateful that you guys add voiceover support to your games thank you and keep up the good work **Developer response:** Thanks for the great review! Thanks again! ### 3/5 — Like the nostalgic graphics but not the nostalgic lag. *2021-08-20* This game seems oddly rushed. There are icons for some buffs/debuffs but not for others. The battle log doesn't show poison or debuffs dmg. The time before you hit the attack button and the actual attack is painfully slow. The splash screen with tips between fights is ridiculously long. You can't see any info (even hp) on the enemies which is annoying in a stat-heavy game. Also the sound completely ignores my ipad volume, even mute (yes I tested other apps). It's addictive but a bit too half-as*ed to keep my attention. **Developer response:** Hey thanks for the heads up on this stuff. Some is intended (for blind users) but some could be Improved. Thanks for bringing a few things to my attention. As an indie dev I’m always working to make things better! ### 5/5 — Fun but difficult *2021-08-03* This is a really fun, simple game. I was having a ton of fun, but then I hit a CRAZY wall at round 75. Round 74 is a breeze, I can win in 1 or 2 turns. Round 75 can wipe my entire health in the first turn, and if it doesn’t they drain most of my stamina so I can’t do anything the next turn. Edit: the dev was super responsive on Reddit, and gave me some help with strategy. Switched my review to 5 stars cuz the game is fun and the dev is great! ### 3/5 — Would be a cool game if it fit the screen *2021-07-11* So this game seems like it would be amazing if I could play it, the game doesn’t fit on the screen of the smaller iPhones like the iPhone 8+. The main thing you need to fix at development is making it so people can actually play the game on small phones. ### 4/5 — Bugs *2021-07-08* I’m having a screen bug, where I cannot find any buttons, I can’t even create a new character because there’s no button to finish the creation. I can choose my class, name, pet and etc, but that is it. I play in iPhone 5s. Can you guys fix this bug, please? ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Not worth the time *2022-02-01* At first I enjoyed the game. At its base level it filled a niche that i was looking for. I would occasionally die, but then revise my strategy and soldier on. That is until you hit a wall where it is literally impossible to progress. There comes a monster that will keep spawning taunting monsters every turn. It takes your entire turn just to kill it, only for another to spawn the next turn leaving the boss to keep attacking until your eventual demise. I’m sure spending money would provide access to classes that would help progress, but even the the boss mechanics seemed more and more broken/ oriented to prevent your character from progressing. It would make sense if you could restart your character with the permanent buffs you had acquired, but that doesn’t seem to be an option. There is the potential to play multiple classes and to transfer gear in between accounts, but that function is locked behind a paywall. The otherwise free way of obtaining is locked behind too difficult bosses. I almost never write reviews but decided this is the one I would have liked to have read before downloading as the a disclaimer to prepare myself for what I was getting myself into. There are other options out there with far more in-depth mechanics that will provide more value for your time. **Developer response:** Hey thanks for taking your time to play and review the game. It certainly can get hard at times but there is always a strategy to win. There are no paywalls and this game was tested for months without any IAP so it can be done. Since then I’ve added tons of buffs to make it even easier. If you are struggling with something or a certain fight email me at support@adventuretofate.com and I’ll help. ### 1/5 — Great concept, unfair and terrible implementation *2021-09-11* The game has traditional RPG mechanics that are easy to understand. Unfortunately, as you go to into the later levels, even as early as you reach level 10, you will start encountering busted enemies. I am talking about enemies who you have no info about (because you can’t look up any enemy info), have multiple attacks in one turn (and there can be 3 of them), and can even summon extra enemies and spawn them when they got killed. What’s worse is that these extra spawns immediately get their turn and can even perform multiple attacks. The game then just become a game of which side has more actions per turn and if you are lucky enough to survive by relying on luck. 100% no skill or your decisions will matter. Enemies can launch up to 10 attacks per round to you. I can’t recommend this to anyone but I did still spend around $10 to support the dev. Hope the dev can rebalanced this busted game and perhaps I will review again **Developer response:** This game can be very hard and by the looks of things it should have had easy / hard mode. There are hundreds of people who have beaten the game with out any deaths. The key is looking at your opponent before entering the match and prepping. The first arena should not have a sponning monster with so much health And the difficulty increase each battle is to fast, The difficulty of the third arena should be how much the fourth arena is Also the shell reflector doesn’t even reflect one bit of damage These are the only complaints the restaurant is so fun Keep making more games like this, and don’t stop making them better. I like the effort you put into this, so that’s why it’s an extra star ### 5/5 — Great game, No paywall *2023-04-17* I just defeated the game with every character. You can unlock everything just by playing the game, the trick is to use potions in between matches so you don’t die. If you don’t die you can get up to 20+ gems after defeating an area. This is more than enough to unlock everything, currently I have around 1000 gems. That being said, buy something from the devs, this is a legitimate no paywall rpg, they deserve it. Some classes are better than others with the Savage or the Mutation being the worst but again, you can beat the game with either. Best class is probably Arcane Archer or Time Guardian. A useable AoE(bearable sp and stam cost) definitely makes the mid to late game easier. For people having trouble in the later levels, always pick up wisdom bonuses when you see them. Even with a retaliate morphed mutation(very squishy) you can survive quite a while with 15-20 wisdom as you will resist more often than not. Unlock Jeweler and stash then stash the amulet of sacrifice, once you have that every class should really go Alchemist profession as the free use potions is just too good. Also stash the feathered boots, it will let you get them a few fights early and they are best in slot. ### 5/5 — Great Game! *2023-01-20* I love this game, huge fan of turn-based rpg genres and this one in particular happens to grab my attention.
