## What is AdventureStory?

Adventure Story is an interactive storytelling app where each choice changes what happens next.

Start in a handcrafted scenario, read the current scene, and choose how the story continues. 
Adventure Story uses Apple Intelligence to generate the next part of the adventure on device, creating a fast and personal storytelling experience.

### 1.3 — 2026-08-17

- Improved the story reading experience. 
- AdventureStory now keeps the focus on the current scene, with earlier story events tucked away until you choose to reveal them. 
- This makes longer adventures easier to read and reduces unnecessary scrolling as the story continues.

### 1.2 — 2026-07-15

For v1.2, the main new items are:

• Added a WidgetKit extension for medium and large widgets.
• Widgets can now be configured by theme instead of using a random theme.
• Widgets sync with the saved story for their selected theme, including current choices in the large widget.
• Added per-scenario story persistence, so switching scenarios no longer loses progress.
• Added a new Haunted House scenario.
• Added purple_background support for the Haunted House theme.
• Widget/app sharing now uses App Group storage so widget state can stay in sync with saved app stories.

### 1.1 — 2026-04-20

- Added themed story backgrounds, including scenario-matched image backgrounds for each story world
- Improved story flow with real endings and a restart option when a story concludes
- Added persistence so your current story session is restored after relaunch
- Improved long-session reliability by handling model context limits more gracefully
- Refined the story reading screen and choice actions for clearer interaction
- Updated non-story screens to use scenario-matched gradient backgrounds
- Added App Store screenshot automation and release metadata/privacy policy prep
- Improved Apple Intelligence availability handling and messaging
