I had to open another bank account at 5/3 just so I can pay people without having them download an app, fill out all their personal info, and sign up, all so I can pay them!! Depositing a check via picture has gotten somewhat easier, but it’s not great. Lastly, their hours aren’t super-convenient for people who work, which is why their online help/support should be much more helpful. It almost always tells me to call customer service during regular business hours. Most issues happen after work hours, like the 100th time my debit card was declined and I couldn’t get cash or pay for something, always with plenty of money in my account. Very frustrating, especially when the next day they tell me they can see the declined transaction, but they have no idea why. When we opened our account it was 5% and has gone down to 3% in the past months. That did not encourage us to add to this saving account recently. Got a letter in the mail. Saying only had to pay $300 of the thousand dollars that was stolen, which I was actually willing to pay that I didn’t spend go in there end up having to pay 1000. Do not go to any idea. I don’t feel like I’ve been there 20 years. It ended up getting permanently locked. Did over a dozen calls back to the US and hours on the phone to no avail. Going to a different credit union over it. The local offices are great. The app is slow and the back end bill pay service is bad. Now that I’m back in the country, they locked the person to person payment feature because I tried going over the limit. And the app doesn’t tell you the limit. So now it’s another phone call.
