This doesn’t absolve AEG of terrible customer service, but I’m glad it’s fixed. Empty standard responses of “your feedback is important and we have escalated it internally” are useless… give your customers honest insight to the problem and timescales required to fix problems. If it continues to work I’ll happily increase my review rating further. ### 4/5 — Timer finally working *2026-07-16, version 4.26* It has taken nearly a year, but glad to report that the timer appears to be fully working. This is highly distressing to my family as you can imagine. Instead of an AI-generated response, it would be better to explain why it’s not been possible to fix and provide some actual timelines by which it will be addressed. Now working well again, except for the long standing issue of the timer function not being available in the app. ### 4/5 — Utile pour lave et sèche linge *2026-06-29* L’application AEG est excellente pour les lave linge 9000 séries et sèche linge 7000 séries qui sont par ailleurs excellent d’efficacité Et d’intuitivité. Le four à pyrolyse 7000 meal assist a également une interface très intuitive et souple d’usage. mais les touches tactiles autour de l’écran ne sont pas rétro éclairée (gênant dans pénombre) son application wifi est moyennement utile. Idem pour l’application de la hotte tiroir 90 cm par contre cette hotte est vraiment efficace et surtout vraiment silencieuse même à vitesse maxi. la liaison « Hob2Hood » plaque a induction hotte fonctionne parfaitement au point qu’on l’oublie. Par contre, Un détail qui fâche est l’extinction manuelle de la lumière de la hotte qui nécessite de rester 5 secondes sur le bouton tactile. c’est long ! 2 sec seraient suffisant. Un bémol sur cette hotte au prix élitiste: l’échappement et le filtre à charbon actif basique sont en option. Le micro-ondes /grill encastré compact 5000 n’a pas de porte amortie. Contrairement à ce que la présentation produit dit. Il a une interface d’un autre âge il affiche un nº auquel il faut se référer au mode d’emploi pour savoir à quel fonction correspond ce nº ! Les choix de fonction « micro ondes » et « liquide » ont une durée fixé de respectivement 30 sec et 2 mins 30 sec, ce qui est beaucoup trop pour un mug pour que ces pré programmations soient vraiment utile, le temps affiché intial devait être parametrable et mémorisable. Son application wifi est bâclée et totalement inutile tant les possibilités sont proche du néant, le compact 7000 Microwave qui n’était pas encore disponible à la date de mon achat a une interface bien plus intuitive et une porte amortie pour 50 € de plus (gris regret) . les alarmes de porte ouverte du réfrigérateur et de la minuterie de la plaque à induction sont inaudibles si on est à plus d’un mètre de l’appareil et le volume n’est pas parametrable. **Developer response:** Bonjour Gédérick, Merci pour votre retour détaillé et constructif. With still no sign of getting fixed. The unit does not respond to fan speed changes etc through the app. Temp setting and switching off on works but that’s about it. ### 2/5 — Air Conditioner Timer Disappeared! *2026-06-23, version 4.24* App works ok except occasional disconnects require complete reinstall which is a pain in the proverbial. Most frustrating is that the timer option for my A/C unit just disappeared altogether. It’s really handy to set it to the. For an hour a turn off. Very frustrating Update 23/06/26 Latest update wiped out connection to my A/C unit and now reconnected App is even worse than before. App does not sync setting with A/C unit and keeps resetting mode to Auto. Timer also not work through App and target temp resets to “null”. Please fix because it’s almost useless. ### 1/5 — Oh dear, useless *2026-06-21, version 4.24* Trying to connect up an air conditioning unit is more complicated than flying to the moon. Have given up. Awful app. Don’t get an AEG air conditioning unit as this is the only way of controlling it. Have had no problems for the last 18 months but appliance mysteriously lost connection to the app and despite going through entire set up process several times, where it successfully connects, the details are then completely lost when I return to Home screen. Poor ### 3/5 — App works okay overall but reconnecting and timer are unreliable *2026-06-21* The app actually works okay most of the time when you're in, and the initial setup at the very beginning wasn't a problem at all. The real headache happens when the app randomly starts showing an error later on, forcing you to troubleshoot and go through the setup process all over again. Right now my router shows the AC is fully connected to the Wi-Fi and internet just fine, but the app keeps failing at that final step with a generic error screen during the reconnection attempt. It's so annoying because the display on the actual machine only shows the target temperature, so this temporary glitch leaves me completely blind to the actual room temperature. The biggest ongoing issue though is the timed switch-off feature which is completely unreliable and just ignores the schedules to turn the unit off automatically overnight. I was told this would be fixed last summer but a year later it still doesn't work. It's a shame because the actual cooling hardware is excellent quality and runs great, but the software bugs and reconnection issues are really holding it back. Kind of crucial to be able to turn off the air con after I've fallen asleep. I notice that this issue was "escalated" 8 months ago according to a developer response in these reviews. 8 MONTHS! Goes to show how seriously they're taking it, along with the user experience. BASIC FUNCTIONALITY. Do better. In addition to the above - the app has now started I sending me push notifications to tell me that the device has been powered on/oft based on my timer (which doesn't exist) You couldn't make it up. Update: as of 21/6/26 the app refuses to work at all. “Something went wrong. Refresh to try again”. I have today written to Yannick Fierling, the CEO, to make him aware of how this disappointing this is and how it is damaging the brand reputation of his company. I’m not expecting a response of course, but if he wasn’t previously aware of this flustercuck, he is now. Whilst it appears the timer has been set, a few minutes later it changes to none, thereby cancelling any timer that was set. AEG app starts with mandatory acceptance of AEG’s data policy. Aircon unit has bluetooth, but still insists on requiring you to provide email, precise location data, wifi settings. There is no opportunity to opt for bluetooth only and keep your data private. A terrible example of unnecessary data mining. AEG - work on providing a Bluetooth interface to control local appliances and enable an opt out of forced collection of personal data. Meanwhile, I hope your data protection policies are robust. Update - having worked initially, the ‘set timer’ app function has been broken for over a year and a number of updates have not fixed the issue. If only there was a physical remote . . . ### 1/5 — Unreliable *2026-06-28* AEG decided to make my air con unit without a remote control yet the app that’s supposed to control it doesn’t work. The timer has been broken for about 15 months and there is no way to get support. The app also regularly disconnects from the device and won’t reconnect. You then end up spending hours trying to reset the device, the app etc. I’ve had to uninstall and reinstall, recreate my account. My wife has given up trying to get her phone to connect. This is absolutely the worst app I have ever used and there is no support available. Also the timer function shows as “unavailable our engineers are working on it” and has done since I bought it over a year ago. How hard can it be to sort a timer?
