I was unable to log in for the past week and could not review or pay the bill. ### 3/5 — Updated, now it’s not working *2026-03-23, version 1.19.13* I can’t get into my account after this last update. It’s saying it’s sending a reset option to my email but I am not receiving any email from AEP to reset. Please help ### 3/5 — Good Company *2025-12-11, version 1.19.10* If this app didn’t have consistent updates that require you to update to use the app then I would give it five stars otherwise it’s annoying to keep updating something when there’s nothing wrong with it. They say it’s updated for security and they fix bugs but again there’s nothing wrong with the app and who in the hell is accessing our AEP accounts without paying the bill. ### 2/5 — Help🙃 *2025-09-09, version 1.19.6* Hello, I’ve used my AEP app for quite awhile now, it’s always worked great, so convenient! The last couple months it will randomly not remember me, no matter how many things I’ve tried it still brings up the message that it can’t login me until I change settings? This makes no sense as it is set just as it’s always been. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to fix it? I hope AEP will fix the issues before the next billing cycle. ### 3/5 — Bugs fixed? *2025-08-30, version 1.19.6* I’ve been using this app for years & have loved it! Suddenly, it won’t process my payments. I called customer service & they said I could make the payment over the phone, which I declined to avoid the processing fee. The customer service representative told me it should be fixed after 5 that day. This is month 3 & it still hasn’t been resolved so I guess I’ll do it over the phone before I get disconnected. (I have also checked for possible updates but their aren’t any) ### 1/5 — Not functioning *2025-08-26, version 1.19.6* App always says “connection failed” when I sign in. Says it can not connect with host. Kinda hard to monitor my account when I can’t even use the app. All my other utility apps are working just fine so it’s only an AEP problem. ### 1/5 — ADA Compliant, can’t be, App Poorly Designed! *2025-07-12, version 1.19.5* For an older person like myself this app is very hard to see and read. Guess what? They dont care because there’s nothing you can do about it. ### 1/5 — Called and they hung up right away *2025-01-06, version 1.19.2* Called, waited for 30 minutes on hold to talk to someone and they hung up on me as soon as I finally got a hold of them. ### 2/5 — Cannot make payment *2024-09-23, version 1.19.1* If you’re supposed to be able to make payments using this app, I don’t see Wear or Howell. You can view your bill, see how much you owe, but you cannot make a payment, it shows you all the payment options, it even makes you think that you can add payment information to make a payment, but you can do none of these things on this app, that is why I gave it to stars. Please fix If you guys can fix these things, the app will get a higher rating for a lot of people. Columbia Gas, you can view your bill there and pay your payment on the application. You cannot do these things for American electric power. The electric company needs to do better. Get it together ### 2/5 — Scheduled Payment *2023-08-15, version 1.18.21* Would be nice on the home page if you have already scheduled a payment that it shows you that information and if need be can edit the payment. ### 1/5 — Terrible App *2023-08-14, version 1.18.21* Have reset Face ID every time I use the app and it still doesn’t work. Every time you login it kicks you out and doesn’t save your information. For all the money you profit off of us citizens, fix your app. ### 1/5 — Stopped working during power outage, then ages for a review?!?!? *2026-03-14, version 1.19.12* Right when it was needed the most (AEP has no idea where its product is not working) the app entirely stops working. It is as if they didn’t anticipate that lots of people would need to use it at once. Hours later I’m able to report the outage and this app interrupts everything by putting a nag screen over the top of everything. I’m sure it is all good they will ask for another rate increase to deal with having to read all these reviews. ### 1/5 — No bueno *2025-12-19, version 1.19.11* price will double every month and becomes ridiculously priced. ### 1/5 — Fix the Darn App *2025-10-01, version 1.19.7* I don’t even need to state the issue. There are plenty of reviews saying the same thing. It’s been almost a year of the app being unusable because none of AEP’s customers can get past the login screen. I have to use the website to pay my bill, when the reason I downloaded the app was to AVOID the website process. I can pay my bill and see my usage with in seconds. The ability to report outages and see updates is a huge plus! ### 5/5 — Energy Usage with Weather *2019-10-21, version 1.15.0* Energy usage with weather is awesome ### 5/5 — Super Helpful App! *2019-04-18* It is nice to be able to see all of the information I need, when I need it! I really like the Billing History where I can drill down and see actually Bills and print them out if needed. Likewise, the Energy Usage tab is a helpful reminder when comparing previous Energy used by month, over the last year - for example in July it was really hot, we ran our A/C a bunch, and it displays a higher usage during that month. It would be nice to see historical data on weather to compare my Energy Usage with hot or cold seasons throughout the year!
