### 3/5 — No Gate Info

*2026-08-26, version 26.4.2*

The app provided no information on the boarding gate for my flight. I had to go the third-party app Flighty to find my gate…and the last minute gate change.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2026-08-16, version 26.4.0*

😞

### 1/5 — Complete Garbage

*2026-08-12, version 26.4.0*

both the app and website are completely flawed. website forces me to click „non-us resident“ even though nationality and address are of the states. app tells me my birthdate is a day after what it actually is and won’t let me specify residency type. horrible app design

### 1/5 — YOU WILL BE GIVEN THE WRONG GATE

*2026-07-30, version 26.3.3*

Told me to board at gate 1A, turns out our flight was at GATE 9!!! Came very close to missing our flight. At the very least, double check with airport staff or flight information at the airport. I have never had an airline app mess up that bad. Catastrophic and unacceptable.

### 1/5 — Mrs Theresa McGuinness

*2026-07-29, version 26.3.3*

What’s going on?I can’t book any flights?I put in destination dates, choose my flights, then it goes to the “switch to plus fares “ and can’t go any further?I have never had this problem before?please advise or give a contact number to call ? Very dissatisfied!

### 1/5 — Better off without it

*2026-07-18, version 26.3.3*

The app has no useful information and doesn’t update with gate info boarding or anything. Just look at the screens at the airport.

### 1/5 — App + site = horrendous

*2026-07-13, version 26.3.3*

Seriously just awful. I’ve entered information in twice just for it to spin and then tell me there’s an error. It’s constant and I have no idea how they get away with it. Fix it!

### 1/5 — Useless app

*2026-07-11, version 26.3.3*

No option to add TSA number.

### 1/5 — Terrible App

*2026-07-05, version 26.3.3*

App and website are terrible and hardly function daily!

### 1/5 — Doesn’t load flight info

*2026-06-29, version 26.3.2*

It takes a long time to start up. Once open. Clicking in to see flight details results in the round loading icon for awhile then it quits back to the app Home Screen. The internet works fine for everything else in the phone

### 1/5 — Log in issues

*2026-06-25, version 26.3.2*

Fix your login issues please, website, mobile website not even your app works. Constant “can’t process your request” message and I can’t even receive an email to change my password.

### 1/5 — Zero

*2026-06-18, version 26.3.1*

This is the WORST airline n travel app I have ever used. Customer support is just as bad- they act surprised when you say you are having issues. They would be out of business if their tech folks ran the airline.

### 2/5 — Mandatory 2FA

*2026-06-02, version 26.2.2*

Just to create an account and look around you must enable 2FA. Annoying. From what I saw of the app it seemed clunky and slow redirects

### 1/5 — Not reliable!

*2026-05-30, version 26.2.2*

Couldn’t open 90% of times. So had to use internet browser to check in. Shame…

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2026-05-30, version 26.2.2*

Only thing worse than the app is the check in at Dublin airport. Hope the planes fly because their technology lacks!

### 1/5 — Upgrade has backfired

*2026-05-29, version 26.2.2*

Not able any more to check upcoming trips or check in now since the recent upgrade

### 2/5 — Horrible

*2026-05-29, version 26.2.2*

Seriously a terrible app. Couldn’t look at any of my flight info or download my tickets.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work well in USA

*2026-05-06, version 26.2.0*

Maybe this app works in Ireland, but it doesn’t work very well in the United States. Links to boarding passes don’t work; links to add passenger information don’t work; links to order special are not present and incidentally don’t work in emails either. Hope the actual flying experience will be less frustrating.

### 1/5 — Terrible App

*2026-04-05, version 26.1.1*

I honestly cannot believe how dysfunctional both the Aer Lingus app and website are. I tried accessing my booking multiple times across different browsers and the mobile app, and every single attempt resulted in the same useless error: “Opps! Wrong method was used to view this page.” That’s not just unhelpful, it’s completely meaningless to a customer trying to manage a flight. This isn’t a one off glitch. It’s a systemic failure across platforms. When your app and website both break in exactly the same way, it’s not user error, it’s poor design and even worse testing.

For an airline of this size, it’s frankly unacceptable that customers can’t reliably view their own bookings. This is basic functionality. Instead, I’m left locked out with zero guidance on how to fix it.
If you’re going to push customers toward digital self-service, the least you can do is make sure it actually works.

Extremely frustrating, a complete waste of time, and not what you expect when you’ve already paid for a flight.

### 3/5 — App is ok, slow on first open

*2026-02-17, version 26.1.0*

The app seems to take ages when first opening it after a while of inactivity. Other airlines I’ve used their apps open pretty quickly in comparison. Certain actions redirect me to the website and then show me the exact same thing as what I’ve seen in the app, when trying to book a lounge pass.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Poor

*2026-08-19, version 26.4.1*

App needs A LOT OF WORK. Doesn’t interact with connecting airlines. Not user friendly.

### 1/5 — booking

*2026-08-19, version 26.4.1*

I have tried numerous times to check my flights through their app and it keeps telling me that I need to update the app, but nothing happens an cannot log in. Very frustrating.

### 1/5 — Broken after update

*2026-08-19, version 26.4.1*

The app isn't working after an update today - testing fail 😱

### 1/5 — Update

*2026-08-19, version 26.4.1*

Since the last update it no longer works and just has a bad gateway error.

### 1/5 — Pushing out updates that are broken

*2026-08-19, version 26.4.1*

They pushed a release candidate to production and now nothing works.

### 1/5 — Can no longer log in

*2026-08-18, version 26.4.1*

Since the update today I can no longer log in - it works fine on the website

### 1/5 — RC app published on main App Store

*2026-08-18, version 26.4.1*

I have never known a RC version of an app to be released onto the main AppStore making it impossible for any app developerto access any information.

### 1/5 — It just gets worse and worse

*2026-08-18, version 26.4.1*

Just “updated” the app and now it doesn’t work at all. Aer Lingus recommendation: please hire any 12 year old to fix the app. Then, beta test the app (for at least an hour) before general release.

### 1/5 — What happened?!

*2026-08-18, version 26.4.1*

Looks like the developers made a massive mistake. They’ve left the version on the bottom of the app logo and it’s doesn’t work very well. Signs me out and crashes.

### 1/5 — App is broken since 26.4.1 update

*2026-08-18, version 26.4.1*

App now broken! Nothing working since today’s update.

### 5/5 — Why can’t they all be like this??

*2024-12-05, version 6.93.0*

95% of airline apps are confusing to use but you guys are nailing it. Congratulations.

Have a word with the rest of IAG, esp BA, who are making way harder than it should be.
