New: the Bearing Map. See yourself and your transmitter on a real map with the bearing line drawn between them — so you know exactly which way you're pointing over the actual streets and rooftops. Especially handy at a new caravan pitch.

— Local TV multiplexes now listed — plus the NI Mux in Northern Ireland
— A chime and a haptic tap the moment you hit alignment (mutable, of course)
— Your last postcode is remembered between visits
— A one-time safety reminder before you go anywhere near a ladder

Every UK transmitter — the database now covers the complete Ofcom network of 1,130 Freeview transmitters, up from 62. If you're in a valley or coastal town served by a small local relay (Kendal, Lewes, St Just and a thousand more), Aerial Aligner now points you at the relay that actually serves you instead of a distant blocked main station.

— Relay powers shown sensibly — a 250 W relay reads "250 W", not "0.25 kW"
— Transmitter list focuses on your 50 best options
— Dual-polarisation transmitters (like Rowridge) shown as a single entry at full power
— Transmitter positions now derived directly from Ofcom grid references

Signal strength predictions — every transmitter now shows its expected reception quality: Strong, Good, Marginal or Poor, calibrated against real-world UK reception data. Strong means an indoor aerial may work; Marginal means you'll want a high-gain rooftop aerial.

A better compass — the dial now rotates like a real compass so N always points true north, and the heading is tilt-compensated, so it stays accurate with your phone held upright to sight the mast.

Also in this update:
— Corrected post-700 MHz clearance channel data on five transmitters, including Winter Hill, Rowridge and Mendip
— Rowridge now shows its dual polarisation (H+V) at full 200 kW — good news for vertical caravan aerials
— Fixed a battery drain after leaving the alignment screen
