Upon discovery of this app I wasn’t at all aware of my carbon footprint and impact. Needless to say I was very surprised and became better informed. I will continue to monitor it moving forward and use this app to give back to our mother Gaia! Aerial was able to pick up my air travel & rideshare through Covid has reduced some of that. Energy consumption metrics can correlate with financial costs & time. The short sustainability articles are helpful & include thought leaders like Bill Gates. OK, fine. Well phone number is not enough. Then it requires a gmail login. OK, fine but that seems odd after just giving a phone number. Well then it asks for permissions to read emails. Denying of this means you cannot proceed. Umm, what does reading my emails have to do with this app? There is no explanation. **Developer response:** Hi there - at the moment, we are focusing on signing up with phone number to eliminate the need for a password. Most people in our community prefer this way of logging in 😃 but we realize that it isn't for everyone, so we're looking at other ways to log in. We are focusing on signing up with email because it offers the most streamlined and seamless experience for our community. Connecting multiple account sources and manually inputting transportation data is something that we are looking into, but it definitely takes a lot of effort for people to take all of those steps, and we really want to make it easy! 😊 Moreover, we respect your privacy. Aerial will only use travel-related emails to help you track your emissions, and has been verified by Google to handle email in accordance with Google API Services. You can permanently delete your account at any time if you want to try it first :) We're a small team and these 1 star reviews hurt us 😢 so while we understand your frustration, we'd appreciate a kinder star review while we work hard to build alternative ways to sign up.
