However everytime I log into the app it just flashed blank shirts at me. It acknowledged I was in the league but gave me no points for three weeks now and keep having the same issue. Such a disappointment. ### 2/5 — UI needs a glow up *2025-03-07, version 3.7* Great for women’s football but the UI needs a major glow up. Certain things you can do on the app which you can’t do on the website. Doesn’t allow you to view who the players face in the next game-weeks when figuring out transfers. Wingers are down as strikers which leaves you with a very small pool of midfielders to choose from. Wingers should be in the midfield category. Also, adding players’ kids to the system is weird. We want women’s football to be taken seriously! ### 2/5 — Glitchy *2025-02-16, version 3.7* This app is so glitchy and only works half of the time. I love the concept and it’s a great way for my friends to connect but it never lets you complete transfers and is always glitching ### 2/5 — transferring players *2025-01-15, version 3.6* as it is christmas break i wanted to change up some of the players i had as it says i have unlimited transfers, however when i change them and confirm the choices i made it doesn't change them and keeps my old players ### 2/5 — Glitchy app even on non-match days *2024-11-25, version 3.3* I’ve given up trying to get the league table to update. I accept that on match days traffic on the app will be busy so will take longer to update. However, even if I leave it 24 hours, my leagues don’t update. That’s after shutting down the app completely too. ### 3/5 — Flawed but easily remedied *2024-11-16* The app doesn’t always load, the games that are on each week in the live page do not show properly on the page so you can’t see some of the teams as it is cut off on the right and left hand side of the screen, choosing one of the features such as triple captain doesn’t work and you have to keep trying. It doesn’t always refresh the points and is sporadic when this is an issue. It is still a playable app but these issues do make it frustrating and are easily addressed. Sort them out and it’s a 4 star app, add additional content for mind on the men’s equivalent app and it’s 5 stars. Especially when the matches are in play. I don’t think anyone updates it as it’ll still say players are injured for weeks when they’re back actively playing for their country and team. Great idea for an app though. If I try any of these things on a web browser it just kicks me back to the home page. So I just cannot get beyond that point - nothing saves. I emailed the app creators last week but no one replied. It’s a great accompaniment to the WSL season and creates an interest in games that I usually would have no interest in. It encourages closer engagement with the entire league and fosters a wonderful fan community to help the women’s game thrive. The developers are active and listen to feedback — so following them on social media is essential, though they also have a mailing list. I keep a close eye on my time and overall I feel I get even more enjoyment out of every weekend of WSL action. ### 5/5 — It’s more than just a game. *2024-01-24, version 1.6* There aren’t enough words to adequately describe how incredible the Fantasy WSL game and its community are. The app is no different. Since the very first week, I’ve felt comfortable as well as entirely included in the game and its online community. Fantasy WSL quickly became something that I could look forward to each game week. So naturally, when I found out an app was in the works, I was absolutely beaming. The creators have been committed to including those who play the game in every stage of its development, and it shows. The app itself is very accessible, with an efficient layout, and dark mode is also an option for anyone who would prefer it. From weekly point breakdowns to one-time power-ups and competitive leagues, there are so many features that add to the experience. As the app is still fairly new, it’s a given that things are regularly being changed and improved, but it’s everything I could’ve asked for. Dani and Jimmy, thank you from the bottom of my heart for creating this game. I can’t wait to see what you have planned for the future, and I have no doubt the number of players will continue to grow. You’ve given women’s football and the WSL more of the representation that they deserve. It’s slow and buggy, and points often don’t update for a long time after matches. It would also be good to be able to scroll down and see upcoming fixtures and the leaderboard while making transfers. Only one issue is that I can’t turn the reminder notification.
