I recently had to create a silks act for a show with only a couple of days to prepare. Silks were my first apparatus when I started aerial 10 years ago, but over the last six years I’ve focused more on rope, dance trapeze, lyra, and pole. I still teach silks to beginners, but I couldn’t quite remember all the intermediate and advanced flows. APTV was a lifesaver. It helped me refresh my memory, discover new shapes and sequences, and confidently put together a piece in such a short amount of time. I also live about two hours outside NYC, so in-person classes with my coaches aren’t always accessible.
