Ich finde es unverschämt und den Heizungen nicht angemessen, dem Kunden so eine unausgereifte App anzubieten, vor allem, da sie auch noch durch die Anschaffung des Routers teuer erkauft werden muss ### 2/5 — Viel Luft nach oben!!! *2024-02-27, version 1.6* Die App ist leider kaum zu gebrauchen. Regelmäßige Abstürze unter iOS 17.3.1 auf iPhone 13. Die Funktionen sind sehr eingeschränkt. z.B. kann man in der App den Boost Modus nicht anwenden. Auch eine Anzeige der aktuellen Leistungsaufnahme wäre wünschenswert. Beim Aktivieren und Deaktivieren von Programmen hängt sich die App jedes Mal auf. Über den notwendigen Netzwerk-Hub hat man 0,0 Kontrolle. Kein Webinterface, keine Logs, keine spezifischen Netzwerkeinstellungen, … Bei Ihren Produkten bewerben Sie die Kombination von Elektroheizung und Photovoltaikanlage als eine Möglichkeit der „vollständigen Autarkie vom Energieanbieter“. Das kann ich aber nur erreichen, wenn meine Elektroheizung mit dem Wechselrichter kommunizieren kann und nur die überschüssige Energie nutzt. Hier ist viel Potential!! Davon mache ich auch abhängig noch weitere Heizkörper zu kaufen. Grundsätzlich wäre es in unserem Gebäude möglich vollständig umzusteigen. Dazu müssen aber die Smarten Funktionen bereitgestellt werden. ### 2/5 — Terrible app *2023-03-18, version 1.6* Keeps crashing. It doesn’t work more often than it does. Error messages at 99% of tries. Problem especially acute on Android devices. On iOS the app crashes after every period of inactivity. After the restart works locally but only occasionally through server. This software is seriously bugged. ### 1/5 — Worst App *2022-12-26, version 1.6* I’ve seen in my life ### 1/5 — App crashes *2022-12-08, version 1.6* Just reinstalled the latest version of this App and now it shuts down on opening and selecting any function. Using with iPhones 6s with latest iOS version. Now when using iPhone 12 and 13 App still crashes on opening first time and does not communicate with server when using mobile data 4g. Für ein Gateway welches ohne App nicht funktioniert und aktuell 120€ kostet ist die Qualität daher zu schlecht. Zudem wäre es hilfreich, wenn die API frei geschaltet wäre um die Heizung in die Home Steuerung integrieren zu können. Fazit: gute Idee, viel Potential aber nich nicht genutzt. ### 2/5 — Mehr drunter vorgestellt… *2021-12-07, version 1.6* Tatsächlich finde ich die Möglichkeit die Heizung, auch ohne direkt an dieser zu stehen, steuern und programmieren zu können ziemlich super. Naja, wenn es denn mal funktionieren sollte. Leider stürzt die App reproduzierbar ab. Zum Beispiel: Einstellen der Temperatur - „Schließen“ der App (in den Hintergrund packen) - nach 5 Minuten erneut öffnen -> man ist nach wie vor in der Temperatureinstellung der Heizung -> einmal auf „zurück“ gehen und versuchen die Heizung erneut anzusprechen -> Crash. Nervt einfach nur. :( ### 3/5 — Mala interfaz *2021-04-15, version 1.6* La app funciona pero tiene muy mala interfaz de usuario. Dice que es para iPad y al girar la pantalla no cambia a modo horizontal. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Terrible *2026-02-17, version 1.6* The people running the server no longer trade so this app is useless. The support from Thermotec AG and electarad has been appalling. Very expensive radiators that you can no longer access outside of the house. Do not buy!!!! ### 1/5 — Simply not good enough *2025-11-08, version 1.6* This app hardly works, so: If you use it and then close it, the next time you load it it will seam fine till you ask it to update something then it will 100% crash and you’ll need to start over. The mobile capabilities stopped working completely 2 months ago and now it only works if your on you same Wifi so I cannot use it to warm my house up before I get home. If your connected to WiFi and you have the rather expensive but very cheaply made WiFi connector it can work fairly well but the app is not build to handle any signal loss meaning if the house signal is off you just get stuck waiting for a good bit for it to tell you. Then you keep clicking again and again to try, but eventually you will get it to work. It forces you to sync with all the heaters to check the app and the heaters are all the same, but again if a heater does not connect it fails and you need to do it all again. This app works on a technical sense hence the one star but fails across the board where it matters. ### 1/5 — waste of time *2025-10-26, version 1.6* spent thousands of pound’s on a heating system that this useless app is supposed to control. doesn’t work should be getting sued ### 1/5 — Clunky, buggy, end-of-life *2025-09-30, version 1.6* Very clunky and idiosyncratic app. It crashes frequently each time you try executing a second function. The back-end servers are now completely dead, so it will only operate on your local network (i.e. when you’re at home). Die betreffenden Aspekte wurden von Usern hier zur Genüge benannt, Thermotec scheint das nicht zu interessieren. Meine nächsten Heizungen werde ich bei anderen Herstellern ordern. Und ich benötige noch einige. ### 1/5 — Useless app to match the poor quality heaters. *2023-10-20, version 1.6* This app is useless as it constantly crashes and has done in the 2 years I have been using it. I would avoid this and I would also avoid the ElectroRad radiators as well. After having the screen fail and need replacement the same heater will now not communicate with the other. For what should be so slick and easy to use. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Brilliant *2023-02-05, version 1.6* Brilliant app. Finally have it working properly simply by turning off “Private Wi-Fi Address” in your phones Wi-Fi settings. I can even access it over my mobile data which I haven’t been able to do since it stopped working a couple of years ago. No crashing or “impossible to connect” nonsense anymore. Great to have full control over your heating during this cost of living crisis! ### 5/5 — Sehr Gut *2019-02-09, version 1.1* Ist ein wenig verwirrend bei der Installation aber dann wenn man es verstanden hat einfach nur Top 👍👍👍👍 Habe vorerst nur eine Heizung in betrieb und die Funktioniert Super !! Das liegt daran dass der Server bei Thermotec umgestellt worden ist und das Modul eine neue Firmware benötigt. Bekommt man über Thermotec. Super wäre, wenn die API freigegeben würde, damit man das Ganze ins SmartHome einbinden kann. 👍 ### 4/5 — Great once you’ve set it up *2021-04-20, version 1.6* This is a very handy app if you need to control your heating when you are not there. I have set this up with a 4G router as there is no broadband in the property. The SIM card costs 5 £50 a year which is far cheaper then full broadband at £20+ a month. Not as easy to set up as I would have liked but once I worked it out it was a pretty simple process. Having step by step instructions on the app would be helpful as the instructions they came with the Gateway did not correspond to what you see on the App. 4 stars as it does what it needs to do. ### 4/5 — Works Well Needs The Boost Option *2019-10-22, version 1.4* * NEEDS ALEXA INTERGRATION The app works really well and not to difficult to set up, only thing missing is the ability to boost the heater like you can from the radiator ### 3/5 — Nur noch Offline nutzbar *2023-01-03, version 1.6* Leider seit Monaten nicht mehr Online zu benutzen. Die Temperatur muss leider durch 0,5 grad schritten per klicken gesenkt werden.
