## What is AeroPointer?

AeroPointer shows airports, navaids and aviation weather on a 3D globe, with FAA charts at every US airport. It is free, with no account, no ads and no tracking.

Version 4.0 is a rebuild of the app we have shipped since 2014, with official FAA airport and navaid data. AIRMET/SIGMETs are now included free.

    ON THE MAP
    • A 3D globe or a flat map, with Standard, Streets and Satellite base layers and a dark theme
    • Animated US radar with a timeline you can scrub
    • US infrared satellite
    • TFRs, AIRMETs and SIGMETs drawn and labeled on the map
    • Flight category for every reporting station: VFR, MVFR, IFR or LIFR
    • FAA airport status on the map, so you can see which airports have a ground stop or a delay
    • Hurricane tracker with the forecast track, the cone and the NHC areas of interest

Version 4.0 has  more features but the map doesn't show on my SE 2 with IOS 27. It shows on 17e and iPad. I liked the older version for charts. Now they're buried.

**Developer response:** Thanks for trying 4.0 and for the feedback. Sorry that you are not happy with the update. In my testing, the map draws fine on an SE-sized screen, so I'd like to work out what's different on yours. One thing that can look exactly like a missing map: if the app doesn't have your location yet, it may open over open ocean, which could look like an empty view. Zooming out, tapping the arrow button at the bottom right (with Location allowed for AeroPointer in Settings), or searching for an airport and tapping it should bring the map detail back into view. If it stays blank after that, please contact me at https://www.pilotscafe.com/contact/ and mention "SE 2", and I'll be glad to look into it. --- FAA Charts are still just one tap from any airport: select the airport, pull the airport detail sheet open, and the "Charts" button is at the top.

I am no longer able to look at airport charts. Does the ability to do so go away after a certain amount of time? I was having no trouble when the app was first installed.

I needed approach charts so I could land this plane after both pilots became incapacitated. After installing nearly 10 other apps, this is the ONLY one that got me to approach charts without signing up for an account or trial, sharing my location, or crashing when I try to use it. Literally a lifesaver.
