Really? In this day and age? Fix this! ### 1/5 — Missing pages in Jan/Feb 2016 issue *2016-01-03* Previous issues operated like a pdf - not ideal, but I at least get to read the magazine. Last issue did not allow zooming and was missing several pages - the most egregious example: page 115 to 119 to 127. I have deleted the app and re-downloaded it to no effect. I love Afar and pay for a print subscription, so it's outrageous that they'd expect me to pay twice for digital access. However, customer service informed me that AFAR had so plans to include digital access with a print subscription. So I immediately deleted this app. DISAPPOINTING! ### 1/5 — No Digital Subscription with Print Subscription? *2015-04-06* I recently purchased a two-year print subscription to AFAR magazine. But, apparently you do not get a digital subscription with the print subscription. I downloaded the app and it will not allow me to create an account or login using my current subscription information. I am only allowed to subscribe again or pay for individual issues. Why should I pay twice? ### 1/5 — Misleading! *2015-01-14* I enjoy the magazine AFAR, so I was interested in this app. The note with the app mentioned "in-app purchases" but the app was free. Turns out, the app is just a way to seek you a subscription - THAT is the "in-app purchase." Nothing else is available in the app as far as I could see, just the opportunity to purchase a subscription. Grr. Previously bought editions vanish! *2018-02-21* Updated feedback re v 2.1.1 Problems persist exactly as reported in prior version. (see below) Attempted to renew subscription, and as before, app is simply incapable of displaying latest edition. I have now cancelled the subscription and requested a refund. .................... Up until this latest version - 2.1, the digital editions of Afar magazine rendered beautifully on the iPad via the app. With this update, all my previously purchased editions have vanished. Drop-down menu designed to restore issues simply does not work. While it indicates that all issues have been restored - this in fact is untrue. All my earlier editions purchased with a subscription have entirely disappeared and attempts to restore them are hopeless. The loss of paid for content is extremely frustrating and obviously in need of a rapid fix. ### 1/5 — Horrible Update! *2017-11-30* App update deletes all downloaded issues and then doesn’t allow you to access those issues (even though you’ve already paid for them). It’s so bad that even with a current subscription you can’t access the current issue. Totally insane situation. Unfortunately AFAR customer service is clueless about their own app :-( ### 1/5 — No digital subscriptions for print subscribers? *2017-04-23* In 2017, it's not acceptable to fail to provide access to a digital version to your print subscribers. ### 1/5 — Can't Read on iPhone 6 Plus *2016-12-27* Love this magazine but it is a waste to buy it for an iPhone. I used it to plan trips and get input from other users. The new app doesn’t even let you search multiple issues?! I’m mad I paid for the subscription.
