### 5/5 — Another Amazing Game!

*2016-09-03*

There's only one thing I can think of that could make the games better. If you could make a little bookmark one could pull up that had every character with a short description about them. I keep getting lost with all the different characters.

### 5/5 — Really liked it

*2016-09-02*

I thought this game was really fun. I liked how many endings there were. I've only played through a handful of them so far, and there's still so many more to try. I've played a lot of these games, and this one stood out.

### 5/5 — THE BEST!!!

*2016-08-28*

Absolutely love this story. I wish there was more. Had a lot of choices and is well written. Really wish there was a continuation of this so I can read more

### 5/5 — Great game as always!

*2016-08-26*

Really great game as always. Love all of your recent games that I've played. Anyone of any lifestyle can really appreciate the diverse life paths you can choose in this game!

### 5/5 — Surprisingly addictive

*2016-08-09, version 4.0.0*

If you like interactive fiction, you should play this! A lot of different routes, good writing, and just plain old fun.

### 5/5 — Amazing, Amazing, Amazing.

*2016-08-07, version 4.0.0*

The paid version of the game is definitely worth it, the subsequent chapters of the story providing a wonderful way to spend a few hours depending on how fast you read and, if you're like me, how many times you restart halfway through because your stats weren't high enough to charm the wizard into giving you that magical mpreg potion.
10/10, a challenging game I would recommend and will definitely be playing again.

### 5/5 — If you like Game of Thrones, you'll love this

*2016-06-21, version 3.1.0*

Clever, complex, and oh so engaging. Definitely one of my favorite games from Choice of Games!

### 4/5 — It sucked 10 hours straight out of a day. In a good way!

*2015-10-23, version 3.0.4*

Maybe I was just too into the court intrigue and wanting to bang everyone. But every playthrough kept revealing at least 1 new slide and I've only had the same ending twice out of maybe 6ish runs but the journey there was very different for either playthrough! I didn't mind the bug as much since I kept track of my character's traits internally. But it should still be fixed!
Aside from the bug, I can see myself coming back to this game every now and then to play the home-wrecker and shy virgin at the same time.

### 3/5 — Meh...

*2015-09-20, version 3.0.4*

To be honest I've been seeing a lot of these in the COG library, games which are really slow and have almost nothing going on in them. The fact that it bugged out and reset my stats didn't help either. And it's just so groggy and stale, I see no stakes in any of the choices you would make and to be honest none of the characters were doing it for me, they were all very clichéd and just weren't very engaging.

### 5/5 — Amazing app

*2015-05-31, version 3.0.3*

This app is so fun and it keeps you busy! I love the different possible endings as well! Make your choices wisely! :)

### 4/5 — Ignore the smarta** saying it's not for guys

*2015-05-28*

I'm a guy, and I thoroughly enjoyed most of the options. Of course if you're as insecure as the other reviewer and get annoyed that you can't dominate and control every female character, then yeah, don't buy it. You do get to choose your sexuality, but like in the real world, not all characters will bend at the waist at your beck and call.

The game isn't a power harem fantasy, but you get your money's worth and it's fairly interesting for a choice game. In fact it's one of the publishers better games.
The real interest isn't in the romance as much as it is becoming the queen/king's consort and trying to solve all of the plights from there-on.

Be warned that there are bugs, but if you go to the main menu and reload your game your stats will still be there. Only a minor annoyance.

### 3/5 — There's a html bug

*2015-01-25, version 3.0.4*

Everytime I go to check my stats it restarts the stats. It's frustrating when I have stats that I actually liked

### 5/5 — It's a great book but....

*2015-01-25, version 3.0.4*

It's keeps erasing my game while I'm like halfway through. Can u guys fix that plz. I still a huge fan.

### 2/5 — I need a dictionary

*2014-12-16, version 3.0.4*

I thought this was gonna be a. Good interactive book but.... It just throws you into the middle of things and have no idea what's happening

### 2/5 — Okay

*2014-08-02, version 3.0.3*

I paid for the app, so why do I have to pay for each new part?

### 2/5 — Warning: No bisexual/pansexual option

*2014-06-26, version 3.0.3*

In most of your games, the choices for sexuality aren't only gay or straight, and I'd really like another similar option for this game. Maybe in future games, keep this in mind.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Really guys?

*2018-05-20*

Since when does a free update cost $8.55?! I’d love to know exactly why you charged me money I didn’t agree to spend. The game is good but not worth my electric bill money.

### 1/5 — Linear

*2014-10-15, version 3.0.4*

You always get "enslaved"

### 1/5 — U have to keep paying

*2013-12-28, version 3.0.3*

I already paid for app I have too pay again to continue the story it a total rep off

### 1/5 — Bad Purchase

*2013-11-07, version 3.0.3*

Hi. I generally love games from the Choice of Games developers, but frankly, this one is just too glitchy! I paid $3 for an update, but now the app won't even open. Needless to say, I'm very upset that I paid $3 to break my app! I don't recommend buying this app.

### 1/5 — DO NOT BUY

*2013-08-16, version 3.0.0*

This is a money grabbing scheme. After you pay 3.00 for it, you have to pay a dollar each time you play the second and third. I remember before they were taxed. Ugh...

### 1/5 — Blasphemous

*2012-11-28, version 2.1.2*

Fun until blasphemy struck it's tone.

### 1/5 — Annoyed (costumer complaint)

*2012-11-20, version 2.1.2*

Look I bought the full version after already owning the free version thinking part 2 would come with it (and it didn't) so if I could get a refund or you guys could fix it I would be thrilled

### 1/5 — Not Bad- Future Game Idea

*2010-09-26, version 0*

This game was all around good, engaging and interesting. However, it really needs chapter two, it's way too short as is.

CHOICE OF DECEPTION- you guys at choice of games need to make another game similar to this one but more focused on the court aspect. The player starts out as a minor noble in the kings court. The object of the game is to accumulate wealth and power through deception and court intrigue. Skills are: strategy, subtlety, charm, cunning, intelligence and wit. Events can be assassination, military campaigns, courting, meetings with embassies and so on. Think Niccolo Machiavelli, the papal court, renissance Florence. This could be the best one yet!!!!!

### 2/5 — Meh

*2017-01-02*

I personally feel that the story was focused on your rise to power more than actual romance. It wasn't quite the tale of love that I was expecting, but instead it was about conspiracies and people vying to climb to the top. I found myself disinterested at the start of the second part.

### 2/5 — Wonderfully Written But Disappointing

*2016-01-12, version 3.1.0*

I purchased all 3 titles in the Choice of Romance series on the strength of playing the Steampunk interactive fiction written by the same author (that I unreservedly recommend). It is a shame that I cannot recommend a similar purchase for Choice of Romance.

In short, whilst the narrative and setting are of a high standard (but falling short of Steampunk), I was horrified to discover that Part 2 (thus 3) is only playable via one route!

As such, it is with a heavy heart that I shall request a refund from Apple. The hallmark card of Choice of Games is in allowing considerable freedom of choice. Providing a 3 part series that is only playable by following one route contradicts this notion.

A massive disappointment.

### 5/5 — Amazing game

*2018-07-01*

This game has so many chances for replay, and honestly? Even if I play the exact same game/story, it’s still a great story that I love to read. 12/10 game, I genuinely don’t believe it could be better.

*2016-10-12*

This game is fantastic!! It is well written. I enjoyed the characters and the plot. There are a variety of different paths and endings to find. If you get frustrated the first few times you play, don't stop. Keep trying, because you will find an ending that you like. Great job to the writers!

### 5/5 — Fantastic Story

*2016-09-09*

I really enjoyed this game! With roleplays you want a unique story and this definitely delivers. It's also very inclusive so that everyone can have the type of romance that they want :)

Been roleplaying for 20 years plus. Including game books. As a story this app is very good and immersive. I loved it and have played it several times now.
