I’d hesitate to mention this if it weren’t for some of the frustrating UI choices: swiping a card for a separate menu to duplicate a file when there’s a hamburger menu in the upper right hand corner of a card is silly. This is also a pain from a user experience because the gesture attempts often registers as moving across the screen. A secret, gesture-activated menu for common actions is wholly unnecessary with a perfectly good hamburger menu right there. The core of the app is great, that doesn’t really need addressing. Save often and be prepared to fight some questionable design choices that are less frustrating on Affinity Designer 2’s competitors. ### 5/5 — Best, most intuitive design app! *2026-07-17, version 2.6.4* I have used this on my iPad Pro for many years and while there is a learning curve, once you get it, this is a DREAM to use. It is easy and everything is clearly labeled when you hover over it. There is even a quick reference guide if you press the ? In the lower right-hand corner. Plus, the video tutorials are EXCELLENT.
