### 1/5 — Can’t Even Edit Birthday

*2023-11-06, version 1.7.5*

What a terrible App. It really is an absolute pain to try to create even one user profile

### 1/5 — 16.6.1 iOS

*2023-10-16, version 1.7.5*

App no longer works with iPhone16.6.1. Are there any other apps that work with Horizon Elliptical of 2019 era?

### 1/5 — App Needs Improvements

*2023-09-08, version 1.7.5*

When trying to use history, the dates aren’t visible on the screen. You’re just randomly scrolling. It’s the same way when you try to add your weight. Please fix!

### 1/5 — The app won’t even save my user profile

*2023-02-18, version 1.7.5*

I can’t even get thru the first step. It resets my user profile every time I try to save it.

### 1/5 — Whats up with app

*2023-02-16, version 1.7.5*

Is this discontinued? It claims to take 90 seconds to connect via Bluetooth which is already a ridiculous amount of time to connect in 2023. Here i am standing on treadmill for the last 15 trying and nothing. Bluetooth 4.0 yeah right

### 1/5 — Useless App

*2023-02-11, version 1.7.5*

App is useless. Does not work on iPhone 14 Pro Max iOS 16.3

Links with Bluetooth. Try to enter your age and selection is blank. No connection with Apple Health.

### 1/5 — App doesn’t work properly

*2023-02-06, version 1.7.5*

The guide says that it will promotor a birthday. It doesn’t. And it’s impossible to select the age in the user set up. And this is just the set up!

### 1/5 — General use

*2023-01-28, version 1.7.5*

This app still does not allow to adjust users information, nor does it share with my FitnessPal making it useless to connect my Horizon 7.0at treadmill

### 1/5 — Ultra BAD

*2023-01-24, version 1.7.5*

This app doesn’t work at all!!! It’s full of bugs! Worst app ever!!

### 1/5 — Rarely functional

*2022-12-07, version 1.7.5*

This will not connect to my iPad even though it says it is and will be connected via speaker. Freezes constantly. Basically useless.

### 1/5 — Unfortunately I have to agree with other poor reviews

*2022-12-06, version 1.7.5*

As many others have stated, there are several basic problems with this app. It would seem this to be a pretty easy fix just to make the app moderately useful.

I’d suggest starting by making the app work such that multiple devices can attach without all of the data resetting. It seems obvious to me that multiple users in a household would bring their own phone/tablet to the treadmill. Until that is fixed I don’t see how this could be useful in any home where more than 1 user wants to use the treadmill.

On the good new side we like the actual treadmill.

### 1/5 — This app doesn’t do anything

*2022-12-06, version 1.7.5*

I tried doing the simplest action within the app. I wanted to set up my user profile. I attempted to enter my age, but the controls for doing so don’t even appear. So while I appreciate it letting me be 36 on the app, my joints are telling me a different story that is closer to the truth.

### 1/5 — Almost useless

*2022-12-05, version 1.7.5*

I’ve had my Horizon treadmill for about a year and this app is a huge pain. Most of these apps offer multiple types of programs, but I have never found any of those helpful. Across devices and apps, I prefer the “manual” setup. However unlike some others, this app does not allow me to save the “manual” program for using again and again. I have to set the speed, incline and time at every workout. And then it doesn’t always start, so my workout info is not gathered. Luckily, the Apple fitness indoor walk captures it even if this app doesn’t.

It also doesn’t work very well to see previous workouts. There isn’t a table or anything. We have to use “roller” selectors to get to the date and that won’t display properly if the phone is in “dark” mode. Have to change to “light” mode to see the selection.

I would love to have the ability to save a program and for to see a history table with the usual controls to sort the data by day or year or any of the values really. It should also display properly in “dark” mode.

### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2022-11-30, version 1.7.5*

The app is useless. It rarely connect to the treadmill and when it does, it typically disconnects during the workout and doesn’t save workout data.

### 1/5 — Crap

*2022-11-09, version 1.7.5*

Unless I just havnt quite figured something out this app is junk a disgrace to the quality horizon treadmill it “connects” to may take 10 minutes to connect then does nothing other than what the actual treadmill display does maybe even less then it pretty much renders all basic buttons useless when it’s connected so your forced to use the crap app to control not to mention the only thing that it does other than the display is save workout data but have done 3 workouts with the app running and connected the entire time and it has saved no data whatsoever

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Really?!

*2025-10-27, version 1.7.5*

This day and age in 2025 you would think that they would update it. Cannot recommend this treadmill because of the horrible app.

### 1/5 — Horizon 7.0 AT

*2025-09-04, version 1.7.5*

This app does not connect to the treadmill at all. My phone is connected to the treadmill however I am unable to edit any user information and customer service has no idea what to do. App is useless. Less than 1 star.

### 1/5 — “Failed to get Machine Information” Error

*2025-01-20, version 1.7.5*

I downloaded this app to try to use with my new Horizon 7.0AT-05 treadmill (v2.003). Horizon documentation on line indicates that this app is compatible with the 7.0AT treadmill. When I open the app, after about 10 seconds, I get a pop up error message that says “FAILED TO GET MACHINE INFORMATION”. On my iOS device (iPad) the treadmill does shows as paired with Bluetooth (HORIZON_7.0AT 392B). The app however indicates on another screen ‘YOUR BLUETOOTH DEVICE IS NOT CONNECTED, PLEASE WAIT 90 SECONDS”. I gave up on trying to get this app to work with the treadmill. I encourage Johnson Health Tech to reply to this message if they know the resolution to this problem.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t stay synced anymore with Horizon elliptical

*2024-10-24, version 1.7.5*

Worked for a few yrs. Always a little slow to sync to elliptical. But now it still syncs initially, but doesn’t stay synced.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2024-09-04, version 1.7.5*

Terrible app. Slow. Custom program not intuitive and restrictive.

### 1/5 — Antiquated

*2024-01-26, version 1.7.5*

App doesn’t work if phone is in “Dark” (scrollers are blank for your worn out history). Doesn’t sync well with Apple Fitness/Health. App looks like it was designed for a first gen iPhone. Could use an update for todays technology.

### 1/5 — My First 5K doesn’t work

*2024-01-20, version 1.7.5*

I’ve tried leaving the app open and the treadmill on, but when I come back in 2 days for the next workout the app says it’s “been 2 weeks since last workout” and STARTS OVER! Can’t y’all fix this?!!

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2024-01-19, version 1.7.5*

Shame on you horizon fitness for having this worthless app to support your equipment. Do better. Next time I won’t buy horizon

### 1/5 — No updates in over 2 years

*2023-12-26, version 1.7.5*

Don’t bother installing. The app doesn’t work and hasn’t been updates in over 2 years.

### 1/5 — DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP!!

*2023-11-13, version 1.7.5*

Downloaded the app just so we could change the usernames. It successfully did that, but the next time we tried to use the treadmill, we couldn’t select a user. It would let us rotate through the usernames but pressing enter wouldn’t do anything. I was also not able to get into the reset menu while this was happening. it finally let me and I factory reset it. All is well now, but I would definitely not recommend using this app for any reason whatsoever.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Works Well As Intended

*2021-05-12, version 1.7.2*

The app does exactly as it states. It seems some people are expecting much more from various Bluetooth connections. I’m impressed with the app’s ability to connect, quick response to the changes with the treadmills. The app is very clear on what to do and offers a good variety of workouts as well as customization.

For those that want to use another Bluetooth connected app, such as Netflix, start the AFG Pro app and program what you want the treadmill to do. Start the treadmill, then pause it with the red “Stop” button on the treadmill. Connect your Netflix up, press the green “Start” button on the treadmill.

For the amount of features and hookups that the treadmill has, as well as a great app, this is a minor inconvenience. So minor that I don’t even look at it as being one.

### 4/5 — Does what I expected!

*2024-10-01, version 1.7.5*

Bought a second hand Horizon T303 and this app lets me manipulate all the settings from my iphone, including ‘start’, pause(!), and ‘stop’ AND keep the manual program I’d set and workout history. Sure I can’t amend the user name or details, but maybe that’s the treadmill’s fault? Quite pleased to get this for free - thanks!

### 4/5 — As advertised. Does what it needs to

*2019-07-26, version 1.5.5*

Ok. So the app itself has a few quirks. The biggest being, once you start the app, you might as well just use the app because you cannot control the console other than speed and incline. No longer able to choose which user it seems nor the type of workout.

Also, a little silly to use the app to control the console since you are already AT the console. But this app gives you the ability to name the users, set the measurements from US or Metric.

All in all, it does what it needs to. Also seems to sync with my fitness pal and Fitbit.

Removed one star due to the quirk. Solid enough app though!

### 3/5 — Mediocre

*2021-12-15, version 1.7.5*

Required by my Horizon 7.8AT to track workouts.
Wish an intermediate app with little thought wasn’t required

### 3/5 — Some buttons not working on IPad app

*2020-03-21, version 1.5.6*

Both USER and HISTORY buttons with IPad app are not working. Yes IPad is connected, i can choose between programs (manual, distance, calories, etc ...) Start button also working but not user nor history.

### 3/5 — Doesn’t save your workout if you leave app

*2019-01-19*

Application connected just fine, started a 10k run through the app. Watched a show on the same device in a different app. When my run was almost done, I switched back to the AFG fitness app and told me I had a current program running and needed to quit that program first. I continued to run, and when the program finished, it did not store my run in my profile history.
The AFG app should just stay in the current program and not attempt to creat a new one.

### 2/5 — Please fix

*2023-10-25, version 1.7.5*

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I cannot adjust my age during set up. The age wheel is empty

### 2/5 — Has issues even just displaying its own info

*2023-08-15, version 1.7.5*

The connection takes forever to my treadmill, but at least once it’s connected, I can change settings. But when you go to the history to look at your workout history, it’s useless. You click on the start date for the range you want and it doesn’t display anything for you to select the date, just yes and no on the bottom. There is absolutely no way I can look at my history using this app.

### 2/5 — Has potential to be better

*2023-05-21, version 1.7.5*

App does not sync to the heart rate sensor that came with the treadmill. App does not retain history and settings per user. App could be improved to enhance the user interface with the treadmill and app.

### 2/5 — It sort of works…BUT

*2023-05-12, version 1.7.5*

Had my Horizon treadmill for about a year. Downloaded the app upon their recommendation. It does sync to Bluetooth but the app usability is about next to nothing. Running it from my iPad or iPhone some of the menu items can’t be set up simple because they are so wonky. If ever an app was screaming out for a new upgrade this one is it.
