### 5/5 — Best Learning Progression, some typos

*2025-04-02*

This is probably the best formatted AFOQT resource - it’s clear and traceable what needs to be studied and the flash cards/tests allow you to improve your ability to answer.

A couple of things to note:
1. Like others said, there’s typos throughout that I can’t name where in which modules they exist
2. It seems it used to be $15 based off of former reviews, it’s $30 as of this writing
3. Some lessons in the syllabus have missing lessons before reviewing. For example, in the Logarithm section, the review questions ask to solve for x in the equation when in the lesson it doesn’t show how to algebraically solve for x.
4. Perhaps some video resources would help better explain some concepts, especially the math and UAV simulator

**Developer response:** Thank you for the detailed feedback and the 5-star review—I greatly appreciate it! I'm happy to hear you find this to be the best-formatted AFOQT resource available and that you're benefiting from the structured flashcards and tests.

I also appreciate the specific points you've raised. I'll carefully review the lessons, especially Logarithms, to ensure clarity and completeness, and I'll continue to address the issue of typos throughout the modules. Your suggestion regarding video resources to enhance explanations for math and UAV simulations is excellent—I'll certainly consider incorporating this feature in future updates.

Thanks again for your thoughtful review—feedback like yours helps tremendously in improving the app.

### 5/5 — Review

*2025-02-25*

I love this app, but there are, of course some things that could be improved. There should be a way to report incorrect information in the lessons. One of the science sections stated that isotopes have a different amounts of protons and neutrons. That isn’t true. Isotopes have the same number of protons but different amounts of neutrons.

**Developer response:** Thanks for your generous review. I’m glad you love the app. I appreciate you pointing that out, and I’ll make sure to review and correct the information in the science section. Adding a way to report incorrect information is a great suggestion, and I’ll explore ways to make that possible in future updates. Your input helps improve the app for everyone. Cheers, Alex

### 4/5 — Answers

*2025-02-12, version 1.0.33*

Wish the app shows the answers for the science and math test portion

### 5/5 — Dark Mode option for late night studying?

*2025-02-02, version 1.0.33*

Title says it all, not necessary but might be a nice addition to ease the eye strain; besides that this app is great so far. My last AFOQT attempt I got 99/91/99 on my pilot/cso/abm scores and a very sad math score. This app is making me feel more confident, and looking forward to my next attempt.

### 4/5 — Found a Bug

*2025-01-25*

Great study app so far, but there are two bugs that shut the app down. In the Review sections of “Sample and Compound Interest” and “Work, Energy, & Power” syllabus, the app will not let me complete that section’s review without shutting down.

**Developer response:** beavrfit

Thanks so much for reaching out and letting us know about the bug—we really appreciate it! I’m happy to share that the issue has been fixed in the latest version of the app, so you shouldn’t run into it anymore.

I’m glad you’re finding the app helpful overall, and I hope the improvements make your experience even better. If you notice anything else or have suggestions, feel free to let me know!

Thanks again for your feedback and support.

Alex,

### 5/5 — Best study guide

*2024-08-20, version 1.0.29*

This was my primary study guide for the AFOQT. Thanks to this app I got a 98 pilot first try and did amazing on everything else as well.

### 4/5 — TBAS UAV section

*2024-07-02*

Can I get some corrections on what building is actually the right building and why? instead of a buzzer noise and just telling me I’m wrong and than promoting me to do it over and over again . The small section with directions doesn’t help active learners . Every other section gives you a breakdown of the right answer except the rated sections which are arguably the most important depending on job choice .

**Developer response:** Thank you for leaving a review. This is a great idea; I will create the functionality to display the correct answer for the UAV PBM Subtest if the answer is incorrect. Expect this functionality in the next update, which will be released shortly.

### 4/5 — Additional TBAS Components?

*2024-06-26*

Alex, the TBAS portion for this app is really good! Thank you for creating a close to realistic practice test going over most of the components on the TBAS. That being said, is there a plan in the future of creating individual tests for the HTT and ATT sub tests?

**Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for the app and for your positive feedback. I really appreciate it. I think it's a great suggestion to allow users to choose whether they want to practice HTT, ATT, or a combination of both. I will start working on implementing this functionality for the next app update. Good luck with your exam!

### 5/5 — Directly boosted my PCSM from 40 to 65

*2024-04-30, version 1.0.22*

I only used this app for the TBAS. I gained 25 points on PCSM from this app. Thank you!

### 5/5 — Very good AFOQT prep, but could be improved

*2024-04-19*

Overall, a very good app to prepare for the AFOQT. The knowledge review is very thorough and easy to follow on the iPad. There are however quite a few of the practice test questions that have the incorrect answer listed as the correct answer. Not an overwhelming amount, but a few. Still very worth your time to take the practice tests. One thing that could be improved though is the test bank in general. Although the questions in the test bank are challenging and good review, I noticed once taking Barron practice tests that some of the Arithmetic Reasoning questions in this app were a little easier and faster to solve. I would consider expanding the test bank with some of the prep books as a template. Also, the Word Knowledge answer options make it very easy to eliminate the incorrect answers on every question, which doesn’t accurately reflect the test or other test prep books. Some questions may do that, but not all. Again, still good practice, but I was able to work through the section at a much faster pace than other practice tests because of it. Overall, would recommend.

**Developer response:** Thank you for the review; I'm glad the product helped you prepare. I have noted your points regarding the test questions and will continue to improve the test question bank overall. Best of luck in your future endeavors.

### 5/5 — Great simulators

*2024-02-12, version 1.0.15*

This app was very well constructed and gives a great feel for the actual testing simulators.

### 5/5 — Best App for Prep

*2024-01-14*

Probably the best app and totally worth the $15. I had a quick turn around for my second test and used this app for about two weeks. After going over multiple tests there have been some answers in the app that were incorrect though. This was annoying because it didn’t give me an accurate test score or guage for the practice tests. However, that is the only complaint, and with the explanations following the test this made up for it, as I could see the process of the problem.

Post Test Update: Overall I did spectacular on the test Pilot: 64, CSO: 66, ABM: 50, Acad: 53, Verbal 92, Quantitative: 31. The only portion I didn’t study from was the science section. My three rated areas went up 20-40 points overall after using this app! On the aviation information section there was some new information in the test that I didn’t see in the app however. But, overall A+ !

**Developer response:** Jesse, firstly, thank you for your review and support. I'm glad you got a lot of value out of the application. I will begin to screen the test question database for incorrect questions and correct what issues I find. If you know what questions need to be updated, please get in touch with me at alexhasting@hotmail.com or via the Facebook page. Congrats on your second attempt at the test.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Worst app for officer exam

*2026-04-09, version 1.0.35*

Nothing related to actual test. Just scammed me $15

### 1/5 — Crashes 90% of the time it loads.

*2025-03-02, version 1.0*

This would be a great app if it didn’t consistently crash - 9 times out of 10, the app quits unexpectedly, either immediately upon selecting a test to begin, or in the middle of a test. Incredibly frustrating and unacceptable for a $30 app.

### 1/5 — Can I get money back ?

*2023-10-03*

It is just waste of money. nothing related to actual test. All the reviews and rating fake

### 3/5 — Fun Training Tool So Far…

*2025-09-28*

I’ve enjoyed using this tool so far. However, there are a couple of bugs to be aware. Hopefully, the developers respond to my request soon. Other than that, I’m been having a blast!

**Developer response:** Thanks for the honest review, I’m glad to hear you’ve been enjoying the app overall. I just wanted to let you know that the issues you encountered have been resolved in the latest update, so everything should be running smoothly now. I hope the rest of your prep goes well, and feel free to update your review if the fix improves your experience!

### 3/5 — Tbas great; knowledge test terrible

*2024-01-12*

Many of the knowledge tests have wrong answer, primarily the math sections and the word association. For example:

Question:
The average of 3 numbers is 15. If two of the numbers are 10 and 20, what is the third number?
Explanation:
To find the third number, we need to subtract the sum of the two given numbers from the total average. The sum of 10 and 20 is
30. Subtracting 30 from the average of 15 gives us the third number, which is 25.
Correct answer is 15.

Question:
SERENE is to PEACE as
TURBULENT is to
Explanation:
The relationship is 'opposite in meaning'. Serene is the opposite of peace, and turbulent is the opposite of tranquil.
The definition of Serene is peaceful.

I would only use this for the TBAS section and find other ways to study the subject matter.

**Developer response:** Jesse,

Firstly, thank you for the honest review, and I am glad you found the TBAS section helpful. I apologize for the inconsistencies in the Math and Reading Sections. I will correct the problems you mentioned in the review and double my efforts to clean up the test sections that need corrections. Future app versions will allow users to flag issues and send them directly to me to be corrected rapidly. If you have any other suggestions or problems, please don't hesitate to contact me using the developer page.

### 4/5 — A good App

*2025-12-08, version 1.0.35*

I’ll say to replicate the actual AFOQT is to add a five question choice instead of four to actually mimic the exam

### 4/5 — Aviation section needs work

*2025-08-25*

The aviation section seemed a bit dated and not relevant for the afoqt despite being correct info. The rest of the study material was good. The sim provides great practice material for the TBAS and block counting. Would buy even if your just interested in TBAS prep.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback, Luke. The aviation section could use a refresh to better align with the current AFOQT, and that’s on my radar for upcoming updates. Glad to hear the TBAS and block counting sims were useful though — they’re a major focus of the app. Appreciate you still recommending it for TBAS prep, and I’ll make sure the aviation content gets the attention it deserves.

### 4/5 — Great app but would be better to see what you missed instead of what you got right

*2025-06-26*

In the process of studying and it’s hard to figure out what you need to relearn when the practice tests tell you what you got right but not what you got wrong.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the review, Bryce. The ability to view incorrect questions is already included—just scroll the top header section (with the “Syllabus” and “Questions Answered Correctly” buttons) horizontally to the right. Rotating your device to landscape can help. I’ll work on improving the UI for better visibility. Happy studying!

### 4/5 — Update

*2025-06-18, version 1.0.34*

Need update on the reading comprehension subtest, now the AFOQT has much shorter passages with reduced time for the whole section.

### 4/5 — Love the app so far. Needs quick fix.

*2025-06-16*

Have enjoyed using this app to study and prepare for the test thus far, but this particular section gave me pause due to the slightly confusing and misleading review section. If someone was using this app as a sole study guide, this could hurt their chances. So I felt compelled to reach out. In the heat transfer and matter phase changes section- 3 things seemed a bit off.

1. One of the question asks for an example of radiating heat, and the correct answer is a “campfire in a vacuum” and not an electric heated baseboard, which was a different option. Ignoring the fact that a campfire, or any fire, cannot exist in a vacuum, wouldn’t electromagnetically generated ambient heat be a slightly better example? Considering it would generate heat without air… whereas a campfire literally could not?

2. Answer to liquid-solid question is solidification, but is is not mentioned in the review text, only the term freezing, so I think this should be updated.

3. The last question asks for an example of conduction. The text explicitly uses the boiling of water on a stove as an example of conduction. This is an option for answers in the review, but is somehow incorrect. “Ice melting in your hand” is the correct answer. I can see an argument that TECHNICALLY it is a better example as the heat generated by the hands is conducted to the ice, whereas the heat is not generated directly into the water to boil it, but rather the pot, but it is still very much conduction.

Normally this wouldn’t bug me, and it’s the first number of errors I’ve found so far, but I feel like if I was trying to use this app to learn this information for the first time or review it better, then this would do more harm than good.

Hope this helps! Great app and super easy to use otherwise!

**Developer response:** Thanks for the thoughtful and detailed feedback, Michael. I really appreciate you taking the time to break down your concerns so clearly. I’ve since removed the questions you referenced from the lesson, and I’ll be adding improved versions in a future update. Your input helps ensure the app remains a reliable study tool—so thank you again for speaking up. If you ever notice anything else or have suggestions, feel free to reach out directly at eagleedgead@gmail.com. Wishing you the best!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — My opinion

*2026-02-24*

It’s a solid study platform especially for the tbas I do think it needs one improvement. Great way to get a bunch of repetition with out having the same question over and over.

**Developer response:** Thanks you. I appreciate the feedback. I’m glad the platform has been helpful. Feel free to reach out anytime. Wishing you the best for your selection.
Alex,

### 5/5 — Worth it

*2026-01-15*

Using pretty much only this app I raised my pilot score from 66 to 84, my CSO from 54 to 86, and my ABM from 80 to 97. I now have a 90 PCSM so I gotta give props to whoever made this app. It works.

**Developer response:** You absolutely crushed it. Great scores. Thank you so much for the review and the shoutout.

### 5/5 — Very well done and helpful

*2026-01-07, version 1.0.35*

Thanks

### 5/5 — Account

*2025-12-11*

I have installed the AFOQT & TBAS Prep on both iPhone and Mac. I would like if possible add “an account” into the applications. So that my progression is saved as I prep/study. Because sometimes I can’t bring the MacBook with me, and I study it on iPhone, and the between the two devices, it didn’t save my prgressions, and I have to go back and figure out where was my last stop. Thank you

### 5/5 — So far amazing

*2025-10-20*

It is definitely worth your money if you think about it 30 dollars one time purchase. You have it all times on your phone and it’s almost like a little game. Very good!!

**Developer response:** I appreciate the review; I'm glad you’re enjoying it so far. Keep at it, and good luck on test day.

### 5/5 — So good

*2025-10-14, version 1.0.35*

I should’ve bought this app as soon

### 5/5 — Got me pass my third attempt at the AFOQT

*2025-10-03*

I was able to relearn concepts just enough to past the quantitative section for my third attempt, now studying the TBAS, very good review for those of us that forget some things!

**Developer response:** Thanks for sharing, congrats on pushing through and passing on your third attempt. That’s not easy, and I’m glad the app helped with the quantitative side. Wishing you all the best, stay sharp, and keep going.

### 5/5 — Worth every penny!

*2025-08-13*

I’m 28 years old, with no STEM degree, a recently completed PPL, and the last time I took a math course was in 2018. Using this app exclusively, I scored a 97 PCSM and 97 Pilot. The TBAS practice was outstanding, and the math portion’s practice tests and syllabi were exactly what I needed. I can confidently say I feel far more competitive thanks to the scores your app helped me achieve.

**Developer response:** Alex, this is exactly the kind of story that keeps me motivated. Huge congrats on your 97 & 97 scores, especially coming from a non-STEM background. That’s a significant achievement, and I’m glad the app helped you reach it. Thank you for sharing your experience and for your support of our work. I wish you continued success on your aviation path.

### 5/5 — excellent study material

*2025-07-27, version 1.5*

awesome support and i haven't taken the test yet, but I wont be going in blind thanks for this test prep.

### 5/5 — Excellent AFOQT study prep material

*2025-04-24*

This app is great for all things AFOQT study related, and even has TBAS study materials, which is great if you’re going for pilot. Put in the time to study each unit, do the practice tests, you will be fine. I passed the AFOQT first time for all components, with a 96 pilot score, and I used mostly this app.
Highly recommended, it is well worth the price!

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review! We’re thrilled to hear that the app helped you succeed on your AFOQT and TBAS preparation — and congratulations on your outstanding Pilot score! We're honored to have been a part of your journey and truly appreciate your recommendation. Wishing you the best as you move forward in your career!
