### 2/5 — Incorrect aviation answers!

*2021-09-30, version 1.0*

The transponder codes for lost communications and general emergency? They are scoring “7500 and 7600” as correct. When the correct answer is “7600 and 7700”
I’m a flight instructor so I’m confident in the aviation portion but those not familiar with aviation, maybe use a different app for the aviation portion. I recommend Private Pilot Prepware.

### 2/5 — Beware

*2021-01-18, version 1.0*

This is an okay app. It contains to many grammatical errors and type-o in the math sections. For instance some words aren’t spaced out (thisiswhatimean) and in the math it will leave out key parts that are paramount in figuring out the math problem. I paid $10 to much for an app that was slapped together whimsically. Very lackadaisical for an app that’s supposed to prep you for the AFOQT. I’d pay $3 tops.

### 2/5 — Buy a book

*2020-12-10, version 1.0*

This app has spelling errors, answers that do not match the questions, and a poor user interface. It is nice to have test questions on hand but for its faults, it is not worth it.

### 2/5 — Decent, but shouldn’t be your only study material.

*2020-11-10, version 1.0*

The app is quiet handy for being able to quiz yourself on the go. That said, it only offers quizzes (no actual study material).

The quizzes are structured decent enough, you can choose which sections you wish to see at any given time. That said, some of the sections do not provide you with the full question, so you’re doomed to guess on those questions. Along with this, there’s naturally a set number of questions available so you’re at risk of memorizing the questions rather than improving your knowledge in that specific section. Obviously, that isn’t the apps fault, but you should ensure this isn't your only study material.

Overall, the mechanics of the app work nicely. But frankly it’s not worth $9.99, in my opinion. For a bit more you can order an AFOQT study book that teaches you and offers quizzes. This app would be greatly improved if they had study material/instructional portions that you can look at rather than just quizzes. If anyone reads this, thanks for your time and best of luck on the AFOQT!

### 2/5 — Gives blatantly wrong answers!

*2020-10-19, version 1.0*

The app answers are not all calibrated right. I will often selects the right answer but it will say it is wrong; when I hit “ view explanation” it gives the completely wrong answer, going on about runway light colors instead of a meteorological answer, just as an example. This may be deliberate, so that it is impossible to get a 100% on a practice test, I don’t know. I’m a meteorologist by the way so I’m pretty sure I know those answers, yet I get about half of them ‘wrong’ but the explanations don’t match. Just be aware, and don’t pay for it, it’s a waste of money.

### 2/5 — Use the free version first!

*2020-05-27, version 1.0*

I would definitely recommend getting the free version of this before paying for the full version. I have noticed many spelling errors that make questions impossible to understand. The reasoning for correct answers doesn’t always help you understand where you went wrong, either. After using the free app, there is no way I will be paying for the full version of this app.

### 2/5 — Good in theory, not in practice

*2020-02-01, version 1.0*

Somewhat useful, but many of the questions will be marked as incorrect even when you pick the correct option. Some of the answers do not relate at all to the question being asked. Lots of grammatical errors in the questions. A good idea in theory but needs a LOT of polishing in order to be a more useful study technique. I’ve spent $10 in worse ways, but this should not be solely relied on for studying for the AFOQT.

### 2/5 — Great for word knowledge study; lacking in aviation study

*2020-01-10, version 1.0*

The app is great for on the go studying, but the aviation section is a huge pile of garbage. Almost 75% of all the aviation questions are paired with incorrect answers or correct answers are paired with incorrect explanations.

This app also goes into detail about boats and sea knowledge, which isn’t applicable to the AFOQT.

### 2/5 — Do Not Recommend!

*2019-12-09, version 1.0*

A few questions I have answered have told me that I have gotten them wrong and in fact say the “correct” answer is one of the wrong choices. So in other words, the correct answers are incorrect on a few questions according to this study guide. For example. Question is as follows: What is wake turbulence? Several possible answers are provided. The true and correct answer is wing tip vortices generated from a wing creating lift. However, this is wrong according to the study session. It then continues to say that the correct answer is a downburst/microburst. Which is not true. Then when I click on the explanation button, it tells me how ships lights are associated with port and starboard side as well as position lights. This has nothing to do with the question being asked. There are several other questions like this. This can be very misleading for individuals looking to study for their AFOQT. Especially pilots. I do not recommend this app to anyone until this is fixed.

### 2/5 — Lacking in quality control

*2019-09-17, version 1.0*

I believe this app has lots of potential, but in retrospect having to pay for the full version with so many innocent answers is humiliating. If you are going to put a product out in the market at least make sure that the data you are providing is 100% accurate.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Awful

*2023-02-16, version 1.0*

Full of wrong answers, and the explanations don’t even explain the topic.

### 1/5 — BAD ANSWERS

*2021-11-18, version 1.0*

At least 20% of their marked correct answers are wrong and have the wrong explaination

### 1/5 — Tons of incorrect information

*2021-08-11, version 1.0*

I’m giving this app one star because the creator(s) haven’t fixed the app in almost the year duration that I’ve had it. Having incorrect answers is fair (mistakes happen) but not fixing those mistakes within ample time is not okay. Lots of errors in aviation and math to say the least.

### 1/5 — Continued blatant wrong answers

*2021-05-06, version 1.0*

I have seen many people from a year ago complaining about the same thing. I mistakenly thought that this issue would be fixed by now. But it hasn't and doesn't look like they plan on fixing this issue. I definitely don't even recommend the free edition and i most definitely think everyone should stay away from the paid version. They do have some good material in here but i just think as a whole this app is unreliable and not worth trusting on such an important test.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2021-04-06, version 1.0*

I feel robbed, as I paid for the premium access. Questions consistently had wrong answers and typos. Questions would refer to an image or table that wasn’t even shown. And this didn’t include anything that I believe helped me on this test. I would love a refund.

### 1/5 — Answers don’t always match the question

*2020-08-15, version 1.0*

I wish I could upload photos to this review. I’ve seen two incorrect answers so far. One question, for example, was about a budget percentage and the answer was wrong and referenced model plane dimensions. Another question asked what sub flooring is typically used in the US. The answer was not wood, but marble (yes, marble). Then, the explanation referenced a crescent wrench.

I want my money back.

### 1/5 — Several Wrong Answers

*2020-07-10, version 1.0*

While using app, I identified several incorrect choices that the app marked as correct, but were incorrect. The concept of the app is genius, but too many questions are incorrect.

### 1/5 — Save your money

*2019-12-15, version 1.0*

This app is horrible. They have so many typos and questions that don’t even make sense. Words are meshed together so you have to guess what they are. Yeah don’t buy it

### 1/5 — Not Legit

*2019-10-05, version 1.0*

Do not buy this app. None of the questions that were on the real AFOQT were in this app’s practice test test. You will fail if you use this app.

### 1/5 — DO NOT BUY

*2019-08-28, version 1.0*

Has a lot of errors that make it a complete waste of time and money.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — From Zero to Hero

*2020-09-18, version 1.0*

App which helped me to be Hero from Zero. The best thing about this app I like is the variety and quantity of questions and how the app works so fast.

### 3/5 — Decent study supplement

*2022-05-14, version 1.0*

Good app to utilize with other study guides. Some of the answers don’t match the questions occasionally and sometimes it will refer to an image but there will not be an image.

### 3/5 — It’s ok

*2021-03-11, version 1.0*

The app is a nice resource... but there have been times when I have selected an answer and got it “wrong” but when I check the explanation, the answer I selected was actually right. It could be a glitch but definitely something worth looking into for the developers.

### 3/5 — Aviation topic

*2021-01-21, version 1.0*

There are several question in the Aviation topic that are incorrect. These need to be addressed because some individuals may not have an aviation back ground and assume the false answers are correct. We can only take this test twice, please don’t be the reason we fail. FIX ASAP.

### 3/5 — Errors and glitches

*2020-11-14, version 1.0*

Recently, some of the answers to the practice questions are incorrect. On a few of them, the “show explanation” paragraph explains an answer to an entirely different question. I’ve also received a question that seemed like it was supposed to have been accompanied by a paragraph prior to the question, but there was no accompanying paragraph, so answering it is a guess in the dark.
This was the free version of the app; the paid version would absolutely be a waste of money.

### 3/5 — Bad information

*2020-11-02, version 1.0*

As a couple other people have made note, the app is useful; however, the developers clearly don’t have much aviation knowledge. For example one of the questions is regarding transponder codes for loss of comms and emergency (7600 & 7700). They say that is incorrect and give 7500 as a correct answer which is for a hijack. As an aviation professional, this is extremely annoying and needs to be evaluated. This has happened with other questions too...

### 3/5 — None of the data questions show data

*2020-10-03, version 1.0*

None of the day questions show any data and some of the answer such as Cain and Abel had such a bad relationship that Cain committed fratricide and if you choose it it says no it is fratricide. This happens a lot. Some of the answers it shows don’t match the question

### 3/5 — User suggestions should be enabled

*2020-07-31, version 1.0*

The app should have a way for people to contest a question or submit a correction/suggestion. For example, Zulu is not eastern time. Let others help make your app better. Especially since it’s a free download. Thanks!

### 3/5 — App does have good material, but be cautious

*2020-04-27, version 1.0*

This app has worked great for math related topics and the verbal/reading material, but clearly the individual(s) who made this app are not aviators. I found several errors within the Aviation topics that were blatantly incorrect. I would be happy to work with the company to correct the issues, but as an enlisted military aviator already that is getting ready to take this test and hopefully get a pilot slot, these are questions that are very important. Again, there are some good sections, but the aviation ones need serious review. It is a good app to have in a pinch.

### 3/5 — Mediocre

*2020-01-26, version 1.0*

This app is mediocre in that some of the answer choices are blatantly incorrect. Additionally, this app only gives questions of the day - to access the 800 question practice test we are all looking for requires a purchase of $9.99. Absurd.
