I ordered at 10am and received my purchase of items at 1pm. Three hours! Unbelievable. Outrageous. ### 1/5 — Bring home to me *2021-04-20, version 4.26.5* This application needs a lot of work. It is unresponsive sometimes, can’t track properly drivers take forever to deliver plus the charges are crazy. Food got delivered to me at 7:49pm. The distance from where I ordered the food to my house is only 2.1 miles yet it took them almost 3hrs to deliver my food. Food was so cold by the time it got delivered to me. This is not the first time this has happened. I love supporting African businesses but this is it for me. The last straw is when I ordered food and they driver stated he delivered when in fact he hadn’t. He claimed he tried to call but I never got a call. So I called the customer service number and they promised me a new order at no charge to me that arrived about 3 hours after I placed the original order. The order was missing two food items I had ordered. I tried to call back customer service but no one picked up. So I decided I would let it go. Two days later they charged my card again. Jumps from numeric to alpha keypad, like a Trojan virus on Android. I was massively disappointed that my food took more than 3 hours to arrive. They don’t seem to have an independent network of delivery. African food is expensive, the delivery fees are very high expensive . My order cost me $87 for 2 dishes. if we’re paying all that and can’t even have a timely delivery, it’s not worth it. ### 1/5 — Genuinely Horrible experience *2025-07-26, version 5.0.3* Absolutely fraudulent. They delivered my $64 order to a completely wrong address I’ve never used or lived at. Then they refused to refund me, even with photo proof it wasn’t my apartment. App is buggy, possibly unsafe, and customer service is useless. I’ve only ever used one address on my account, and they still blame me for their mistake. Never using this scam again. Stick to Uber Eats or DoorDash . At least they respect their customers. Forgot I could follow him on the map. Been at my location for “20 mins” with nowhere to be found. If you can wait 2hrs plus, fair. It's thoroughly frustrating the sort of service you have to put up with. Noone has to wait 3 hrs for food to be delivered. Unless you guys are getting enough riders stop promising delivery times that you very well know you can’t keep. And the one star is me being generous. They will take your money even if the restaurant is not open . They do not acknowledge the issue with their app instead they say the problem is yours and to pick from their UNHELPFUL options. Sometimes over 2hours and they ask you to go downstairs for it even though you’re paying for the convenience of having your food delivered @ the door. But African Dish App is CONSISTENTLY late with deliveries to the point where when a delivery is on time, I’m actually shocked. Customer service is horrible; they’re not transparent at all and refuse to give refunds even why they are clearly in the wrong. Promo codes rarely work as well. I only order on this app when I am desperate and even then, I regret it. Till they fix their delivery system and customer service, I’m deleting the app and sticking to another service. ### 1/5 — HORRIBLE *2021-09-08, version 4.26.5* I have been ordering food with this company now for 2 long years. I’ve given them a pass so many times but enough is enough. I am African and I love African food. And I order from these people because it’s my way of supporting my people but these people have no sense of how to run a delivery business properly even how to treat a client. So many times I’ve had to wait 3 hours for my food. So many times I wasn’t able to track my order. But this time around was the worst. I ordered my food at 9 pm with them. It’s passed 11pm… first I can’t track the driver through the app and no show no call from him. Around passed midnight I receive a call from the restaurant I ordered from explaining to me that my driver arrived at my place. Gave me a call and I did not answer. So he took the food with him all the way back to the same restaurant. So I asked the lady why didn’t the driver leave the food at the door since he supposedly called me and I didn’t pick up. She said well she doesn’t know. So the same night I called the delivery team. No answer. Call them the next day and explained the situation to them and guess what they had no ways of finding out what happened with the driver nor the restaurant. So I asked them why didn’t the driver live the food at my door because any good delivery person knows this. They had no explanation for me. So I asked for a refund. I followed up with them for 2 weeks. And every time I called they said they’ll have to investigate with case. So I requested a refund. But them kept repeating the same crap and I never received my refund. I was very disgusted and disappointed. And I am never ordering with you again. Even though the management worked to get my food delivered, it was a little stressful. Fast forward >>>>> For a couple of weeks now, their services have improved tremendously!!!! I placed an order for some « peanut butter soup and Rice Balls » at 12:00noon and within 15minutes, my food was at my door. This has been consistent for several weeks now. Wow! I am really impressed with the management for working through all the challenges(as a growing business) and making such enormous improvements. Whatever you guys are doing, keep it up.
