## What is Aftercam?

Turn your event into a shared disposable camera. Guests on iPhone join without downloading the app or making an account. Photos from your wedding, party or dinner stay hidden from guests until your chosen reveal time.

Create an event in the iPhone app and share a QR code. At reveal, everyone in the event can open the shared gallery. Relive the event with a memory reel.

Set it up your way: how many guests, how many shots each, a film look, and when the roll reveals. Guests scan the QR code and shoot in an App Clip, a light version of Aftercam that opens instantly; a name is all it asks for. Their photos upload privately, and nobody sees the roll while it is open. Not the guests, not you. After it closes, review it before the reveal if you want to.

WHAT YOU GET
• One private roll everyone contributes to
• A film look chosen for the whole roll
• A shot limit per guest, so people choose their moments
• A memory reel made from the revealed gallery
• Full-size downloads to keep

HOSTING
Small events are free. Larger guest counts are a one-time purchase made when you create the event — never a subscription, and the price is fixed before you pay. You can add guest capacity later to an event that is already open, and the QR code you printed stays valid.

WHO CAN JOIN
Hosting and photographing need an iPhone. After the reveal you can share the gallery by link, and it opens on the web.

PRIVACY
Photos are private to the event. Captures are re-encoded without location data. Hosts review the roll before it reveals and can remove a guest. Guests can erase what they contributed. Reported photos reach a monitored address.

### 5/5 — Some of my favorite pics came from this

*2026-10-16*

The random, unplanned photos ended up being the ones I liked the most. I would’ve missed a lot of those moments without everyone taking pictures too.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-10-24

- Photos keep uploading when you leave the camera, lock your phone or lose signal, and pick up again on their own when you're back online.
- Large batches from your photo library upload faster, and an interrupted import no longer loses any photo you picked.
- When iOS allows it, photos keep preparing after you leave the app.
- Upload progress and shots left stay accurate, and Retry photos now appears right where you need it, including when you close a roll early.
- 2× zoom is now available on iPhones that support it.
- Photos taken in the App Clip now match the full app's quality.
- Flipping the camera while a photo is being taken no longer interrupts it.
- The App Clip stops taking photos when the roll's capture window ends.
- The notification bell on the host's camera now opens your account settings.
- On smaller iPhones in landscape, the Shot ideas button no longer covers the camera buttons.
- The event cover no longer flickers when your events refresh.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-10-18

- Memory reels have a new look: people and objects pop out of each photo as cutouts, timed to a beat, in a 9:16 video ready for Reels and TikTok. Your iPhone finds them on the device in photos taken with this update.
- Adding photos from your library is faster, and the camera shows "Uploading 3 of 11" until every photo is in the roll.
- Selected photos in the photo picker now show clear blue numbers.
- When a guest hides the shot ideas card, the camera's flip and flash buttons are no longer covered.
- Sign-in links are more reliable: resending one no longer breaks the link you already have, and the app shows a countdown before you can resend.
- Creating an event no longer fails with "Something went wrong" when the end time you picked passes before you finish; the app takes you back to fix the time.
- Revealed rolls now fit the screen when you open them from an invitation.
- If you sign in with Apple without sharing your name, the app no longer calls you "Host".
- Terms and Privacy Policy links now read as links with VoiceOver.

- New film looks for new events, developed at up to 12 MP on recent iPhones.
- Guests joining with the App Clip see the film look too, and keep shooting while photos upload.
- A smoother camera: flipping back returns to 1x, controls respond instantly, and unlocking your phone takes you straight back to the camera.
- Full-screen photos stay lined up when you swipe through or close them.
- Clearer privacy and refund details at sign-up and checkout.
