### 5/5 — So responsive!

*2025-02-27, version 2.2.2*

It’s a great app. You can easily log games, see plays, catalog your collection etc.
plus, it is the most responsive team ever. If you have a problem, question, or even an idea they implement it quickly and make the app work for you. Phenomenal.

### 5/5 — Great App for Game Lovers

*2025-02-17, version 2.2.2*

👌🏽

### 5/5 — Top Notch

*2025-01-01, version 2.0.1*

Great app for groups planning games night or even virtual games. Keeps track of all your games too

### 5/5 — Best Way To Plan Games

*2024-12-23*

If you have a gaming group and need a way to organize and plan games, there is no better way than Aftergame. We used to everything through Facebook polls, but they were a huge pain. This app makes things so much easier and more organized. And the creator is great at listening to feedback and making upgrades.

### 5/5 — Nice interface

*2024-12-09*

Just getting started but the interface is really nice. I like that they pull in a games listing so it auto fills in details of a game session. I mainly want to use this to organize game nights at my home and allow a first to sign up game seat. Hopefully I’ll have more feedback as I try it more.

### 5/5 — Great for Game Days

*2024-08-06, version 1.1.0*

We have used this app for our last few game days and it’s worked so well!

Lets people plan to meet up for games prior and on the day.

If you can organise for the map to be added if you’re planning a big event it lets people find the table very easily.

### 5/5 — Amazing!

*2024-06-20, version 0.9.7*

We are using this for our meets and it has just grown and grown into a fabulous tool. We will certainly be using it going forward for all our events.

Developers are amazing, responsive to feedback and always friendly and helpful.

If you are a board game club or event, look into this for sure!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2024-06-04, version 0.9.3*

Used it at Wellycon to join and create several boardgames. Made the whole experience a lot less stressful and enjoyable.

### 5/5 — Top tool

*2024-04-30, version 0.9.1*

We have a growing game group and this has been a marvelous help in organizing our games and adding to the reach of people that see us.

The developer is helpful and responsive.

Worth every bit of the five stars.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Inaccessible

*2026-07-27, version 2.20.163*

Although the app supports Dynamic Type, the developers have chosen to use smaller text sizes for default text than my default, so I cannot read the display without having ludicrously large text in better-written apps.

### 1/5 — Weird policy

*2025-11-12, version 2.12.121*

Says they will be requiring legal age of birth soon. Even if they ‘need’ that, which I don’t see why, they should only need a flag for under/over 18. Unnecessary privacy information.

### 1/5 — Barely Functional

*2025-10-13, version 2.10.119*

App takes 10 attempts just to load and even when it does it doesn’t work. It is unresponsive, freezes constantly and is not fit for purpose.

### 2/5 — Bugs galore

*2025-01-27*

Every time I tried opening my groups page the app just crashes. It’s not just me, but multiple people in the group are experiencing this issue since before the last update.

For events that were already created, the user’s “going” status isn’t updating properly and number counts are off. Is there any fix incoming for this?

### 3/5 — Buggy

*2025-04-24, version 2.4.1*

I want to like this app more but the bugs are common and plentiful. Trying to organise a game and simply adding guest players is way harder than it should be. The interface is confusing and unintuitive. I accidentally removed myself from the game I’m hosting and teaching and I ca can’t add myself back, all I see are spinning loading wheels despite my connection being fine. Now my game has too many players and I can’t even modify it or send a message on the game event because it’s just a constant loading wheel.

### 4/5 — Missing game

*2025-06-01, version 2.4.1*

They are missing talisman revised 5th edition

### 4/5 — Still early days but worth the switch

*2024-12-26, version 2.0.0*

These devs understand board gaming and the tools are all geared just right. Wish them all the luck in making this what BGG should have built years ago. Kudos

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2026-05-29*

Great app for managing events, attendance, regular gaming sessions, game libraries, and more!

### 5/5 — this was needed!

*2026-05-06*

This is the perfect app for organizing your Game nights. From setting up a calendar. With a robust invite feature it’s the perfect app.

### 5/5 — RPG LFG SOLVED

*2026-01-09, version 2.13.131*

This app has saved my gaming life! No more trawling Facebook groups, Messenger threads or subreddits to find a game. No more generic meetup apps to organise a regular game night with friends or one-shot with new folks, figuring out who’s interested, who’s actually coming, or getting a last-minute message out to everyone on the day.
This app has everything I need in one platform to find a game to play or find a crew to play with and know they’ll turn up!
The developers are gamers themselves, and are clearly interested in making the app to solve their users needs.
New features and bug fixes (often the result of an incredibly transparent feedback system) are planned, tested released regularly.
If you’re a player, this is all totally free. If you’re an admin/group organiser it’s also free, with the option to get even more features (like recurring events) for a remarkably low annual subscription (about A$35 when I last checked) with Aftergame+
All while feeling the good vibes of supporting indie developers who understand who they’re building their app for.
Legendary 🧙🏻‍♂️🧝🏻‍♀️🧞‍♂️

## Most praised reviews (7 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great for tracking my games

*2025-11-01, version 2.11.120*

This is a really nice app for tracking my game plays and games that I own and want. It’s interesting to see what gets played, how often, etc. and I like that if someone else is on Aftergame, only one of us has to log the game plays and it’s shared.

### 5/5 — Brilliant app with lots of room to evolve

*2025-09-25, version 2.9.116*

Started using Aftergame for my local board game as an alternative to meetup. It’s been working great for organising events and games. The onboarding is really simple for others to join. Also love how you can log your game plays, it’s like a Letterboxd for board games. Please keep up the good work rolling out new features.

### 5/5 — The app board gamers didn't know they needed

*2025-09-04, version 2.9.1*

A great app supporting board gaming communities to link players to each other, arrange games, log plays. It's fantastic at conventions to run events and also find players organise your time to get the most gaming in!

### 5/5 — Planning App I’ve been dreaming of

*2025-07-14*

I’ve been planning board game events for the last five years and this is best app I’ve seen. It’s so intuitive to use in the developer, a thought of everything. We’ve been using general, social organizing apps that didn’t have the features we needed to reserve spots or make a waitlist. This fixes that problem and adds even more that we were dreaming of.

### 5/5 — Brilliant play tracker and convention toolkit

*2025-07-08, version 2.6.1*

I use this to record my game plays and have used it as a convention organiser and it was fantastic for organising plays, keeping a schedule of events and managing our play-to-win competition. I highly recommend to anyone.

### 5/5 — I love this so much

*2025-06-28, version 2.5.1*

It gets better with every release. Features are fantastic and the dev team are super responsive. I’m recommending this to everyone, it’s only gonna get better as the community grows

### 5/5 — Best Boardgame App out there 🙏🏽

*2025-06-14, version 2.5.1*

Love using After Game to check stats and relive the highlights. Out of all the apps on the market, it is the most reliable and has a range of features that help serve for smaller or larger gaming groups. Thank you to the Aftergame team!
