## What is AfterTax?

A shelf price can mean one total in Tokyo and another at a New York checkout. AfterTax helps travelers estimate the amount they are likely to pay before reaching the register.

Choose the country and local jurisdiction, enter the displayed price, and confirm whether tax is included or added. The result separates shelf price, estimated tax, and estimated checkout total. You can keep the preset rate or enter the rate shown by a store, receipt, or local authority.

Each preset identifies its source, verification date, currency, and scope. The result is an estimate: product exemptions, fees, local rules, and receipt rounding can change the actual amount.
