## What is Again?

The recurring real-life stuff that quietly piles up — the haircut, the AC filter, the dentist, the vitamins. It doesn't fit your calendar (the date depends on when you last did it). It doesn't belong in a habit tracker (no streaks chasing you, no goal pressure).

Again is the small, calm tracker built for those things. Tap done; the next reminder schedules itself.

THREE MODES, ONE TAP

• Loops — recurring on your cadence, not on a fixed date. "Haircut every 5 weeks": tap done after the haircut, and the next one schedules five weeks from that moment.
• Dailies — daily things you want to check off. Vitamins, stretch, journal. Tap = "done today"; midnight resets.
• Tallies — counters with no schedule or goal. Meditation, push-ups, glasses of water. Tap = +1. No reminders, no targets.

SLEEP — TIMED PAUSE AND SEASONAL WINDOWS

Put a loop to sleep for 6 months and it wakes itself. Mark one as "pool season only — May through Sep" and it sleeps every winter and reappears every spring, forever, with no action from you.

Timed sleep and seasonal windows compose: a loop can have both. Sleep works on Loops, Dailies, and Tallies.

BUILT FOR REAL LIFE

Real recurrence is messy. "Dental every 6 months — every 2nd visit is whitening." "Groceries every week — every 4th is the bigger Costco run." Per-occurrence variants override the title, notes, or emoji on every Nth occurrence — the row shows what's coming next so you're never surprised.

CALM, NOT GAMIFIED

No badges, no streak-loss notifications, no XP, no celebrations. Daily streaks show as a tiny chip — informational, never motivational machinery. Tallies have no goals or reminders, on purpose.

NO ACCOUNT, NO EMAIL, NO NAG

Again works fully offline, with no login screen. Optional sync between devices is account-less: your phone generates a random ID, with no email and no password. Your task content is end-to-end encrypted, so the server stores only ciphertext it cannot read. Linking a second device is a one-time QR scan.

FREE FOR THE DAY-TO-DAY

Everyday use — Loops, Dailies, Tallies, the home-screen widget, reminders, calendar sync, sleep, and JSON backup — works without paying anything. The optional cross-device sync is $9.99/year or local equivalent. No ads, no upsells, no unlock screens.

HOME-SCREEN WIDGET

Tap done from your home screen — no need to open the app. Each widget picks a mode in its configuration (Loops, Dailies, or Tallies), so you can place several side by side.

YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS

Local-first by default. End-to-end encrypted sync: everything leaves the device as a blob the server cannot read. Your devices hold the only key. JSON backup exports everything as a single readable file.

NOT A CALENDAR. NOT A TODO APP. NOT A HABIT TRACKER.

A focused tracker for personal repetition.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.8.0 — 2026-07-11

Mostly under the hood this time: reliability, accessibility, and safer sync.

• Reminders are more dependable, and snoozing no longer clears a task you already logged today.

• Month-end loops (the 31st) keep their date instead of drifting earlier.

• Much better VoiceOver support across lists, the create and edit screens, and sync setup.

• Linking a new device shows a matching code on both screens, so you know it is really yours.

Still local-first, still free.

### 1.7.5 — 2026-06-11

Two additions for everyday use:

• Start from a template — when you add a loop, daily or tally, pick a common one from a list and tweak it, instead of starting from a blank form.

• Notes on what you logged — add a short note to any past completion, daily check-off or tally tap, from its entry in the history. Logging itself stays a single tap.

Plus wider VoiceOver screen-reader support across the app, and backup fixes.

### 1.7.0 — 2026-06-09

Better screen-reader support. Again now works smoothly with VoiceOver — every loop, daily and tally, the home-screen widgets and the edit screens read out clearly, so the whole app is usable without sight.

Plus a fix for a calendar-mirror duplicate that could appear after your calendar synced through the cloud.

### 1.6.5 — 2026-06-02

Again on the web. Pair a private browser companion by scanning a QR code with the app, then view and tick off your loops, dailies and tallies from any browser — handy when your phone is in your bag and you are at a desk.

It is account-less and end-to-end encrypted, just like the rest of sync, and the link lasts only as long as the browser tab. Your phone stays the home of your data.

Plus reliability improvements to background sync, reminders and the calendar mirror.

### 1.6.0 — 2026-05-27

Swipe between Loops, Dailies and Tallies. Flick left or right anywhere on the background to move between the three modes.

See the whole picture at a glance. Open any item to see its full setup — which days it shows, its reminder, and exactly how its sleep schedule is configured — without opening the editor.

Plus consistency and polish throughout the three modes.
