It has almost everything, the ability to sort by published date, by title, by novel versus short story collection, etc. The opening screens are so darned thoughtful with the various quotes from novels and stories. Hats off to the creators! The only thing I wish I could do with it is print my list as I check it off and also dump all the various character names and titles into an Excel spreadsheet to go back and refer easier. But that is a totally different type of project for a much deeper level of nerd-dom and am sure someone has probably done it (along with solution, location, sleuth, type of story, etc). 🤓 The three tools I am using to track my reading journey are this app and also the All About Agatha podcast. I read the book or the story, then I listen to the matching podcast as if I were in a book club, then check it off in this app and Goodreads. I did buy a book that was created for this purpose, but I don’t use it as consistently. There’s something about the way it’s organized that isn’t as helpful as this app. Either way, it’s a very rich, well made tool that is adding to the joy of my reading journey. First thing: a slight name change for the app. Still the same great app but with a shorter, more descriptive name. This update is the result of a request from a fellow Agatha Christie fan. This fellow fan asked for a way to keep track of how many books have been read, including how many Poirots or Marples, etc. had been checked off. "How fun!", I thought. But I didn't stop there. I also added achievements to encourage readers to reach their Agatha Christie reading goals. When I say readers, I also mean me! You can find the book counts and achievements under the new "Stats" category in the menu list. There is a definite emphasis in reading achievements over collecting achievements. Reading achievements are easier to attain while it takes more books to earn the collector's achievements. Hopefully this will add an element of fun as you go through your reading list. You may notice a difference in the alert view when you go to check off a book. It is simpler and to the point. Also note that Sophie Hannah's books have been moved to their own category. Novelized Plays and Plays in Play Format can still be found under the "Type" category. There are some minor corrections in information, links, and other behind the scenes stuff as well. The Purchase Book option has also been removed.
